I was a Army MP for 8 years, got out and joined Ohio ANG 121st Refueling Wing SFS here in Columbus Ohio. It was so different, in the way day to days are done, just down to arming yourself on duty. Tooting my own horn: I did a One Year stint at Ft Hood as an MP Dispatcher. Of course the Army does things a little differently, such as not carry M4s unless on some Force Protection Mission, but there are typically more MPs on an Army base, and at Ft Hood there is an SRT team and a Duty Platoon (somewhat QRF). I dispatched 15 patrols, not including Game Wardens, Animal Control, Traffic, and Military Police Investigations (MPI), and assisted CID, AWOL App, and PMO Staff, Was an NCIC/TCIC, NLETS/TLETS operator, handled Alarm calls, 9-1-1 dispatch, and interagency (Federal and Local LE) contact. I did all that, and still got sent to the Arms Room. Politics. As in the other Soldier was in the Unit Basketball Team. Six months later I was a TAI. Work hard, and you will be rewarded.

When I rotated back to the World, I was assigned for 2 years at Langley AFB, VA to Headquarters Tactical Air Command. The unit I was in is the Tactical Air Command Guard...we were the Security for the CINCTAC (Commander and Chief Tactical Air Command..4 Star General). During my time in the Alabama Air National Guard I got to go to "Sliver Flag Alpha" in Indian Springs, NV, the USAF SP Desert Warfare and Survival School. It is what you make it, I did a lot of different things in the Security Police Field....AND LOVED EVERY MINUTE... except for the time I spent in a Turkish Military Prison..but that is another story!
Love this video!! You both are pretty cool, thank you 💙
You guys don't have a WSA? I did everything in the WSA from entry controller to close boundary sentry to local display monitor to ART/SRT to fireteam leader and finally area supervisor. I also worked in CDC and ART/SRT and area supervisor on the flight line. Then I did LE patrol , gate guard and LE desk at my second duty station.
An E4 on Gate. Unheard of in my time as an SP in late 70s and 80s.
I served as a f16 pilot in desert storm and used to wake up at 2am because if the air raid alarm
TTV Norbert-KO yeah ok
That early post life is a pain in the ass. I live 30 minutes from my squadron so I get up at like 3:20
Hope you have a great forth. I was a SP from July69-73 then 75-81 I was Asst Flight Cheif so I had to be at Guardmount a hour early to set up with the desk and to get the Flight in order. Fun Times. I also spent a year with the 377th SPS in Vietnam..............fun times :)
377 SPS?! You guys are legends. Bunker 51. I spent 5 years in Kirtland, heard everything about that night. Thank you for your service
@@Bad-Hombr3 We all knew what we had to do and with the 377th If you called for help you got help no questions. They have the CSC tapes from 31 Jan 1968 and they tell what was going on and what was done. The time with the 377th was a special time for me and I am proud I served with them Welcome Home JR
Hasn't changed much since I was a at Barksdale AFB in 1984. OSI does suck though.
And Bossier isnt much better than back then.
Also, im related to some Wilkersons.
I'm glad you seem to be enjoying it, I got out after 12 years. too many years at minot and I was just sour. much happier in the civilian world now.
Didn’t try to join the RAVEN or DAGRE?
Did 9 years army field artillery....crossed over to SF and retired 24 yrs later...I loved the SF career field. Its all what you make of it.
G Louez why did you switch? I’m a prior E security forces and now a AFROTC cadet but I’m thinking of going army rotc. How did you deal with sf? We do a whole lot of nothing
@@ciscoduran5033 I got tired of the word field in field artillery. :) Good for you...get that O-E pay! I just like the camaraderie in the SF world. I was also a Raven so that kept me on a lot of TDYs and deployments. You might do a whole lot of nothing but you are the first line of defense for the base, aircraft or personnel. Again...its what you make of it. There are other shreds and SEI you can get to make it more interesting then checking ID's. Good luck to you!
@@glouez7326I’m in the process of enlisting in the USAF reserves and this will be my job. What is a raven? How can I become one? What are TDYs? I want to volunteer as much as possible so I don’t earn just 300 a month. I want to make this my full time, something like AGR. Any tips that I should mention to the recruiter? Thx!!
My son just signed up for the Air Force....He is considering Security Forces but is interested in Cyber Security also.....Thanks for the information....I continue to tell my son to choose a job he is interested in....
I was Army Air Defense Artillery (16S-Stingers) 1983-1986. We would go to AF bases to practice tracking live aircraft. I told an AF Captain, a fighter pilot that yes, we do keep up on our aircraft recognition, but I STILL can't tell the difference between an F-15 and a MIG-29. He said "Don't tell me that."
Defenders lead the way! Great video Defenders
Awesome job. Thing's sure have changed. I was Ssgt, (SAC) 1980-88.
And I lol with Dakota's toy 😂😂😂😂 she is such a sweatheart ❤ my bella (border collie) also plays all the time with her toys, I think she has more toys than the other dogs at home, hubby buy her at least one toy everytime we go to the groceries 😓
My daughter said that you were in the same tech school class/flight as her!
Man the military has changed in the past few years.
Edward Floyd how so?
Ayyeee I was deployed with Crunelle back in 17. Awesome dude and NCO! Also, I'm jealous yall have him as a FC. Any chance yall would want to do a video with someone from another base? Maybe get another perspective? I'm a mids flight sergeant at my base.
That "yeah" scared me.
Never been in the military but I have family and friends that are. I should have went in but I was talked out of it.
Anyways, thank you for your service. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
Rip, love you guys! Stay safe!
Doggo wasn't feelin ANY of what she said 🤣😂
I love your makeup and lashes and you’re so gorgeous!! :) Love watching your videos. Keep it up guys 💪🏾
Yep that grand forks afb. Was there 10-13. How's the base been.
She’s soo cuteeee!!!
This video is super helpful! Im leaving in 50 days 😭 but this is the job I chose, thank y’all for the help!!!
This is an important question: what is ur freaking mascara?! It looks good😂
Things have sure changed since I was in! I went in in 1978 when it was still Security Police and I was a Law Enforcement Specialist 811X2. Went in the Reserves and retired out in 2002. Liked your video.
Spent 5 years at GFAFB as SF, left in 14
Mike Reis did you like it?
@@devn3813 it had its ups and downs but overall I did
Mike Reis thanks. I’m thinking about joining
Girl.....your lashes 😍😍
Super cool! You did a great job showing this! Hope you do more.
Pharaoh was on my tech school team back in 15'😥
I leave September 3rd for BMT but will then Head To Security Forces Tech School 😎
Fire Chicken I’m so sorry for you
It's a trap!!!!!
Frank Malone why y’all say that 😂😂
Good Job Defenders from on OG Kadena 86-91, Vandland 91-92, Kunsan Stinger 93-94, Retired Joint Base Andrews 94. (Air Force caused me to glow in the dark by accident...All Good..Survivor) . Once a Defender, Always a Defender.
I so hate waking up for PT but i still do i don’t know how but i do 🤷♂️
Jaycee is it mandatory?
[R] [R] [R] what about coast guard?
Metal Head Can I ask what your MOS is?
Metal Head Oh, what are you going for?
Metal Head funny how you think its all that easy but hey who am i judge make sure you go Airborne and good luck hope to see you one day 🤟❤️
Oh man, soon to be SSGT Vargas, I went to tech school with that dude
The beginning scared me “turn your shit off”
So I have a huge question about SF in general. Back in 81 when I went in the Air Force I went to Security Police School, AFSC 81152, Law Enforcement. So what changed with the Air Force merging both career fields?
Also was one of the Desk Sgts when I was stationed in the Azores
@K9 Companion true and you have more weapons qualifications to maintain. I was in when we merged, 97 or 98 if I recall correctly
I’m in sf tech school now, can’t wait to get to my first base
How is it going?
My son is graduating 17 September 2020, from BMT At Lackland AFB And is starting school for security Forces!! 🇺🇸
I’m 19 years young fully committed to enlisting in the Air Force, and I want your job Security Forces. I’ve done so much research, the good, the bad, and I’m 100% sure this job is for me. How likely do you think I’ll get this job? Btw thank you for your upload!
Seravot 2jz it’s very likely you’ll get it, the Air Force is on a recruiting spree for SF
How’d it go? I’m 17 and interested.
My brother is in the Air Force and his job is Security forces
Awesome! Much respect!
Super cool video guy. I love it. Ive thought about documenting my day too for my channel but like you id have to filter our a lot. love the way you all did it though. keep it up
APSALUTLY LOVE THE LOOK OF THOSE ABUs ❤
Hi there, I just want to say, "Keep up with the Security Forces Content." Its going to destroy RUclips. I am actually thinking about going Security Forces but I am still undecided. My question is: How often can a airman/woman work in the armory? I have a passion for firearms and I was looking into being a CATM instructor.
@UC1wg43KZrVCrBY5wyEqg4yg Oh okay, thank you a bunch. Security Forces is one of my top picks. I would pick intel but I heard it was MOSTLY OFFICE work and I cannot stand being in an office setting for a long time. I am a outside worker.
Subbed for that doggo intro
first off, great video! i want to join the security forces soon, and this made me look so much more forward to it!! also, girl your eyelashes, please tell me what mascara you use. thank you guys!!
I'm still new to your channel.
I'M STILL NEW TO YOUR CHANNEL
I wish I joined the Air Force ended up joining the Army instead
AF has easier basic training and better benefits for sure.
Every base has a different mission or responsibility. There are so many other posts and jobs. I was at 4 different bases in 8 yrs.
Not sure how a female can stop anybody, especially a man.... but thank you for your service Logan . BTW I served two tours . THE FEW PROUD.
Michael T if you have an assault rifle it doesn’t matter wether you’re a female or male. Kind of ignorant to say something like that.
Nic SOpa I am a retired marine. What do you say to somebody who has offered 20 years of their life to protect you? My brothers have died by my side protecting freedom. I have seen my brothers die fighting you. How dare you disrespect me, fallen soldiers and our families . You are welcome for my service. How dare you.
Hola from the Caribbean Island Puerto Rico☆ right now I just pass asvab, Meps and I'm was about to join but because I have a baby 2 years old (still breastfeed) I'm not sure if go Active or reserve... Thanks for all your videos. I'm was thinking in join Security Forces, do SF deploy often?. Any advice? Gracias! Thank youuuuu☆ Blessings ♡

Guy keeps doing video
Me okay.
Blazing Ocean It’s literally an added in special effect genius.
@@ACoupleofCarpenters really? First time watching your videos. That sound mix so well with environment and with the police car that it felt so real. 😅
Blazing Ocean Devan works hard on the edits to make it as good and realistic as possible !
I was security forces until 03. We only had our blues and the BDU's. You guys have on a couple of different ones. Can anyone explain who wears which uniform? Is there a time and place for each? Thanks in advance
Lmao why did I choose to be a paratrooper? I could've been living the cush life in the Airforce.
Currently in SF Tech School now! Thank you for showing me a bit of what I should expect at my first base!
Yall Blue Falcons! ;) stay safe brothers n sisters.
11bang bang here wondering why I was always told you had to be smart to join the Care force.
Air Force* don’t worry I got you. & because of the jobs inside of the branch.
new sub! I cant wait to join!!!!!!
Hello! What is the starting pay? 33 year old with 4 kids. I was thinking about joining SF. Would it work for someone like me and my family?
Awesome. First video of yours I've seen. The dogs are sweet!😊 is there an age limit to enter the military?
Yes, there is an age limit I believe the age limit is 35
Is it possible to do both enlisted in the Air Force and maybe part time college student?
Yes, not always easy but its possible
Yes. You’re entitled $4,500 a year for tuition assistance. You just have to find time to do school in your off time. I recommend online schooling because of the flexibility with your schedule. Good luck
Thanks For the info. 1st video watched and subscribes. And Yes Dev, you are definitely prettier .
Good looking couple. In the Enlisted process right now waiting for a waiver really want to join looking to get into Space Command
