Wonderful stuff!! I'm 72. I get stiff in the mornings. My priority when I wake up is to use the loo, otherwise there could be a "problem". I shuffle across my upstairs bedroom then down the stairs and finally into the toilet. By the time I get back to my bedroom I'm quite loose so getting dressed is not a problem. Having said that, I find these exercises very useful.
Hi Will, I am 80, very well preserved and still rode my Arab horse until my recent knee replacement. Have all sorts of side effects since the invasive surgery. Trying desperately to get back to a normal life and so happy I found your channel with so many valuable tips to improve my condition. Heartfelt thanks❤
Best to see demo in concise video. Spend 1 minute on each. From lying flat, 1.) leg slide to knee bent to comf. range, back to straight, 2.) knee hugs, 3.) roll slowly to side, shoulders flat w/both legs together & knees bent, 4.) ea. knee & hip bent hold back thigh raise above & lower foot only if w/o sciatica, 5.) sit on edge of seat slide slowly hands down to ankle on each leg at one time bending forward. ❤
Thank you so much for your very helpful advices. Furthermore it is a pleasure to listen to your wonderful English. Very nice and simple enough to be understood by non-native speaking persons.
Hi Will….terrific way to begin the day…gives one an added incentive to do an early morning walk knowing that a majority of the aches and stiffnesses are miraculously gone…your videos are always so sensibly explained…❤️
Hello Will. I do these every morning. Happy I do them according to your Demonstration. 10yrs ago fell indoors on a wet floor. Pulled L.fibula, quadriceps, knees. I walk quite a lot. Also do 1 leg balance for count of 40. Age 83 Liverpool thanku
Hi as a 59 yr old male I was really happy to find your channel focusing specifically on my age group. I have been active my whole life and have always been involved in very physical jobs because I love the physical part of my work. I recently had a right hip arthroscopy FAI and I was curious as to your experience with labral tears and FAI in my age group? It's been a long recovery. Excellent channel and content thanks.☘️
Thank for the great help for us in their sixties. I feel sprightly since I started doing these exercises. I can swear by them. My movement in tennis and pickleball is much better. All the way from South Africa.
Thank you for your great videos. I am 75 and getting over fractured L3 and this video mirrors the exercises set by him but it is good to see them with you demonstrating and explaining.
Thank you for this. I already have a loosening up routine I've been doing before getting out of bed, but this has given me a few more exercises to try. One extra thing though: I've found that I need to do a bit of muscle activation after I finally get up: a few calf raises and backward leg kicks usually do the trick. I've got quite bad hip and knee arthritis - but worse is that I have let this make me very sedentary (along with the lockdown stay-at-home requirements) and so I've lost a shocking amount of muscle function in the past couple of years. It gets harder and harder to pull out of a downward spiral like this - but every little bit of improvement is a welcome achievement!
Thanks Will for the exercises and demonstration on stiffness and pain on the lower back I have suffered this pain for some time now and got worse after my hip replacement 3 months ago which I blamed on my posture I started these exercises a couple of days ago and have got great relief . I bought your book and got some useful tips thanks again
Very helpful video - thank you Will. Do you have advice on using resistance bands? Would you be able to do a video demonstrating their correct use? Thank you.
Hi Will thanks for your demonstration and explaining all the exercises I started these exercises two days ago and had great relief from the stiffness in my back from day one . I also bought you book and got some very interesting tips in it . Thanks for all
Hi Will, Please may you comment on whether my use of a foam roller as follows is ok? I put the roller between my shoulders and the floor with my knees bent. Then I straighten my knees to drive the roller along my back to the base of my spine. I bend my knees to return the roller to the starting point.I find this very helpful in both relieving lower back pain and increasing flexibility (e.g. I have no problems putting on my socks). For info: I'm 77 years old and have had a knee replaced. Thanks very much for your helpful video.
Will, I love your informational style of presentation on some very helpful exercises. I wonder if it might be possible for you to include some modifications for those of us who have knee replacements and/or spinal fusion. Thank you.
Thank you for the thoracic spine stretch! Been trying to work out why my shoulders have been hurting, and spend a lot of time looking down when I walk! Stretching the thoracic spine makes sense!
Love your videos. I like that you have a high colour contrast between yourself and your background, and can I suggest that for the visually impaired you have contrasting colours for your top & shorts, as it can be just one black shape. Thanks!
Thank you Will i am so happy i found your videos the information is spot on so easy to understand and follow. I have sent many of your videos to my friends and they all say the same.
Your are fab! I am finally getting over a groin injury/sprained hip and when I awoke at night I'd do the smallest amount of physio, really out of desperation and I think it helped. I'm also legally blind on my right side (born that way) and of course right handed (of course I am)... I'm not too stiff in the morning but housework seems to get the best of me, we shall soldier on!
I wish a had a healthcare provider to check with before doing these. No doctor or insurance for over 20 years. I'm 50, look a bit younger, but feel 70-80. Some nerve/back injures these past months give me stiffness in hands & a knee, & feet numbness through the day. Looks like most of these are safe except twisting the spine on the side & the last one hunched over. Thanks for the info.
Is there any off the shelf medicine or vitamin or mineral to get rid of muscle stiffness. I have been doing the stretches and exercises water aerobics but it is always temporary help for couple of hours.
Hello Will and thank you for your videos, I find them very helpful. Question: why do videos that address hip and leg stiffness ignore the front part thigh of the thigh muscle? I know ones that address the outer part of the thigh but not for the part that goes straight down from the top of the thigh and ends before the knee. Do you know why this part of the thigh is ignored? thank you

I have sciatica on the left side, so I don’t stretch that hamstring. But my right hamstring is much tighter than my left anyway, so I do stretch that, and I don’t think it makes my sciatica worse. However, I have lumbar stenosis and a spondy, and I have been warned that it’s dangerous to flex my lumbar spine, so I would not do the knee hug exercise. But thanks for all your videos.
Hi Will Harlow, would you be kind to do a video for a small-boned petite person, who suffers severe sciatica, chronic back and leg pains after a slipped disk, chronic leg cramps please? I find most exercises are too painful or make situation worse.
I am from Singapore & my brother from Australia we both have very weak legs ,I have already shared your excercises & he is trying he says tks mate he is improving but myself the other way round I find myself getting weaker by the day I have an operation on my buttoks some abesse the doctors wait till the skin closes as it is an open wound.I wish to walk again and further tks Mr. Will
Hi I have a problem I think my muscles are getting very weak ,I recently had COVID was isolated for four days after that I tried to walk I felt so weak can hardly take a few steps also was hospitalised for about a week plus home about 2 weeks, before these when ever I walk I feel very weak can't walk take a few steps have to sit.was told by Doctor to get hip replacement but my physio says don't need just. follow these excercisers & watching u tube ,Alyssa & others says excercise and will get better even yours all of you have the same thoughts ,so what should I do use to walk after stroke 7000 - 12000 steps & still can go on but one day I fell like there is no bone or muscle from waist down, now excersie my thighs down feel so tired like am going to fall what is your advise
@@Marcel_Audubon we just bought a new bed but I'm shorter than my husband. What else can I do besides buying another bed I'm retired and I only have so much money, Thanks anyways!

Kooool I did that knee trick from another guru. Guess Watt it strained my right knee ligament a lot of grief.
I have been watching your practical physio routines for a fortnight. I am hoping to feel stronger in a couple months. Thank you.
Thank You I will try. ❤️🌟
Wishing you all the best :)
