There is a possibility of Netflix or Hollywood in general making a movie or documentary of this. If so, he may - I’m not an atty - get $$ for it. Sure he has to pay restitution to Waukesha, but anything left over will help his life-long prison stay (commissary).

there's actually a law called "Son of Sam Law" quote from Wikipedia :
"A Son of Sam law (American English; also known as a notoriety-for-profit law) is a law designed to keep criminals from profiting from the publicity of their crimes; for instance, by selling their stories to publishers. Such laws often authorize the state to seize money earned from deals such as book/film biographies and paid interviews and use it to compensate the criminal's victims."
So I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be able to profit HIMSELF but I think you got it right about any $ going toward attorney fees and toward restitution. But it may not be Son of Sam Law...I believe it's Asset Forfeiture/Seizure. That law makes it so any $$ they have, they could make off the crime(s) etc from books or films etc are seized by the state and distributed as seen fit

For all the confused people like me when I first saw this. It's because of him running over his girlfriend at the argument before he ran everyone else over. Then the bail jumping and the trying to intimidate a witness. It's cleaning up the outstanding issues against him. Doesn't look like he's enjoying his time away from society and after getting the domestic assault on his record, though I disagree with things that happen to prisoners in prison. He's going to return to a hell he made for himself and possibly for someone like him, a fate worse than death. Still won't admit what he did just to keep torturing people, can't even give a symbolic guilty plea. Horrible person who seemingly hasn't changed.
