As a more old-school metalhead, this was the first band I dipped my toe into the metalcore water with. I feel this band, probably along with Trivium, Killswitch and ATR, legitimized the sub-genre and are a proper heavy metal band with emo elements, more than the other way around. I would put their heaviest shit alongside any "real" metal song any day.
i kept telling people back then, i am telling them now: bfmv were the proper descendants of thrash meets british heavy metal. they just added screams and a ballad here and there and looked kinda cute so the girls liked them. but musically, they have always been everything that metal is about: stomping, aggressive rhythms, harmonizing melodies, harshness, but also softness, roaring solos and all that. yet people hated on them for their emo looks. now metal is almost dead and people go "oh i wish more bands sounded like bfmv"

I had a really good friend in high school who became obsessed with BFMV. He was the first person to get me stoned & we must have listened to All These Things I Hate Revolve Around Me a dozen times lol. He passed away from a heroin overdose a few years ago & now whenever I hear BFMV, I think of him. 💔
That's funny; I literally just commented before watching the vid that Finn ought to do a Strange History for Trivium. Arguably the greatest Metalcore band of all-time, even though they get little attention and have mainly done Thrash over the last 15 years. Ascendancy is Metalcore at its peak.
I am glad to see BFMV get a dedicated video. For me the biggest impact I feel BFMV has had, is the vocal unpredictability. Most metalcore vocals are scream the verse, sing the chorus, but for the most part they didn't do that, even on their most recent album. The fact that the lead singer plays guitar well and does vocal screams, and the bass player can sing and scream, allows them to musically and vocally go in whatever direction they want.
8:34 Someone forgot about NFS Most Wanted 2005 and Burnout Revenge, because "Hand of Blood" was their first song in video games, so their stuff was in games before Scream, Aim, Fire(and probably like me most people in that era got to know them through MW2005 or Burnout Revenge and same probably applies to Avenged Sevenfold, but their first song was "Chapter Four" in NFL/NHL 2004 and NASCAR Thunder 2004) its was great time in video games soundtrack
You should do a video on Trivium next, their history is strange and fascinating as well, plus they're doing a huge co headlining touring with Bullet next year to celebrate the 20th anniversery of both band's breakout albums, so there's gonna be alot of buzz and nostalgia interest around them
If I’m feeling emo: 1. The Poison 2. Gravity If I’m about to go lift: 1. The Poison 2. BFMV If I want to hear the riffs: 1. Scream Aim Fire 2. Venom 3. Fever If I’m feeling like a 40yr old dad: 1. Fever 2. Temper Temper 3. Some SAF If I’m feeling nostalgic: 1. Hand of Blood EP (we all know the title track but goddamn can we give Cries in Vain some credit? That song is anthemic as fuck)
0:35 I saw BFMV in 2006. I was a sophomore in highschool. It was their first US tour. I crowd surfed. Was able to see and say hello to the band after they exited stage left. One of my favorite bands of all time. Memories to die for. Edit: I was that one kid that listened to MCR and Metallica and Nas all on the same burnt CD.
Bullet has been my favorite band for 16 years. I actually met my best friend of 12+ years because of bullet. He was the new kid in high school and my friend Melissa started talking to him during lunch. Before lunch was over she came over to me and said "hey that kid likes bullet" went over to talk to him and have been cool ever since lol
I first ever listened to Metalcore in like 2010, I was 7 years old, playing NFS Most Wanted. It was 'Hand Of Blood' by BFMV and at that time I dindn't yet know the concept of music genres, I only remember really liking this one song because of it's killer solo. Now, 14 years later, Metalcore has become my favourite genre of music. I am almost certain that this song had a great impact on my taste in music!
coolest band name, with the poison has the best album cover art of all time in Metalcore. I've met their bassist at taste of chaos 08, they were opening for A7X right after Atreyu and Blessthefall played. hell of a time!
I think very seriously that the biggest problem for Temper Temper was Matt's haircut, I remember it was a big deal at the time. I would also add that the mix did not serve the song well, having the monstrous sound of Fever on thoses songs would have helped them a lot
First band I ever heard with a fry scream. Some kid showed me BFMV through earpods on his iPod nano when we were 14 in grade 9 & the fact I heard screaming in music really changed music for me. I quickly went from my parent's influence of' Pink Floyd, The Doors, & Ozzy Osbourne to BFMV, Atreyu, I Killed the Prom Queen, Silverstein, Alexisonfire etc.
The guy in the blue shirt in the jeff killed john shot is a very young Gavin Burrough from Hondo MacLean and most famously funeral for a friend. I was at that gig it was Newport TJ's. And it wasn't trustkill who broke the band it was julie weir of visible noise label and management- current head of music for nations (who also discovered bring me the horizon), She even said in several podcasts how dealing with josh was like banging her head against a wall. Yeah josh did ok when he had a product that someone had already created/invested in to sell. "the pieces didn't fit" no they didn't trust him with bring me the horizon and your demise which is why they got earache to do the same job bmth would had worked on trustkill if josh hadn't soured the relationship with VN/Sony. It's quite funny hearing the other side of the story. The other label VN used with bmth was epitaph.
Finn, before I begin, I just wanna say thank you for making a video about one of my most favorite bands ever. You're videos are very enjoyable. Easily at the top of my list from all YT channels. But yeah, I remember my cousin giving me a 4 track demo cd (which I still have) with bleeding through and bfmv. I sat and waited at the bus stop at night leaving his house, put the cd in my walkman and hit play. When "Suffocating under words of sorrow" came on, I was blown away and instantly raised the volume up so fast and fell in love with the sounds I've never heard before with the guitar sounds I've been looking for. I went to their first US tour and saw them at our local famous small venue, The Clubhouse(RIP) and took my disposable camera. Saw them many times over the years, I even just got a BFMV tattoo on my last birthday this past March. So yeah. I love this band. I love this channel. Keep it going Finn!
Bullet For My Valentine was definitely one of my gateway bands. I am 32 years old and whenever I need that emo nostalgia kick I just put on Poison and reminisce about the time I was still young enough to go to concerts weekly, get drunk and just be fine the next day.
I remember going to the library as a kid to use the computers and listening to "all these things I hate" Naruto AMV's on youtube. Very core memory and Bullet is one of the first bands that got me into metal/hard music in general. Love that these guys have seen the success that they have and are still going strong all these years later. Great video like usual!
Listening to All These Things I Hate and Tears Don't Fall when I was a teenager was definitely life changing and had a huge impact on my taste of music. Although I barely listen to those guys anymore, I'm thankful for introducing me to the world of heavier music.
Now that you mention them, i'd love to see one of these videos on Trivium. One of my favorite bands with a pretty interesting history, plus you can talk about all the drummers they went through lol...
This is my metalcore breakthrough band. I still listen to this band religiously almost 17 yrs later since I found out about them. Funny enough, I really love the rock songs and some of them are my favorite songs in their discography. Deliver Us From Evil is one of my BFMV top 3 songs and Fever is such a banger. Temper Temper was a complete miss for their discography but goddamn they killed it with Gravity. That record is amazing. Nothing like The Poison though
This band was huge when I was in high school. Their first three albums were fantastic. Finally got to see them live years later and they didn’t disappoint.
This takes me back to ‘06-‘07 like it was yesterday. Around the time I started listening to these guys, a buddy got me into Funeral for a Friend, who I ended up listening to even more then Bullet. Would be awesome to see a piece on Funeral in the future as well! 💯
Damn Finn, You Really Hit The Nail On This Video Especially The Lasting Impact Phase Of The Video. For One, If It Wasn’t For BFMV I Wouldn’t Have Been Playing Guitar Right Now Or I Wouldn’t Have Known That Metal Existed Cause They Were The Very First Band I Got It To 2nd Am 28yo Now But At The Time Being An 15yo Emo Kid I Didn’t Know If I Was More Metal Or More Emo Looking Back At It Cause I Thought I Was Emo But I Wasn’t Listening To MCR, Paramore, Panic At The Disco Or From First To Last. What I Grew Up Listening To Was Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, System Of A Down And Butt Rock Stuff Lol But Funny Enough I Did Start Listening Those Bands In My Early 20s And I Wasn’t Even Emo Anymore I Guess It Was A Confusing Time In My Life. But Soon Enough I Realized That Bullet Was Actually Both Emo And Metal Which Is Why Now I Can Listen To MCR, Paramore One Minute And Listen To Slipknot, Sepultura, Black Sabbath, Tallah, Venom, And Parkway Drive The Next Minute. So Basically BFMV Was My Gateway To Various Subgenres Of Metal And Emo. Awesome Video Finn. Big Fan Of The Channel 🎉🎉
Bullet for my Valentine started to become a hit and miss band after their fever album. Venom was a huge comeback for them, but they ended up going into another direction. That fans did not like once again. And then with the release of gravity fans were also complaining once again. It’s fine when you want to experiment, but it’s hard to please a huge fan base when you’re trying to evolve at the same time people want you to do the same thing. 😭
I don't know why. But I have always had a fascination with this band. It started with Tears Don't Fall and went downhill from there. The first time I heard the entire album The Poison, no skips allowed. That goes for Scream Aim Fire as well. They truly do have so many well put together tracks. I couldn't condense a short list of favorite tracks if I wanted to. On top of that, I got many of friends to listen to them as well that didn't hear them from anywhere else. Although I'll never forget one dude saying that Matt sounded like he was singing with a cold.
I'm actually super stoked to see you make a bullet video bc with all the talk about metalcore my first actual introduction to it was in fact BFMV back in 2006. I remember thinking it sounded like metal but not metal at the same time....I felt weird like I didn't know if I was supposed to be liking it or not, kinda like discovering a new kink while watching porn. 😂
I've seen them live for the first time last year and it was a blast. They even played Hand of Blood at the request of the crowd to close out the gig. Hope they keep kicking ass
BFMV absolutely were my biggest inspiration when I was learning to play guitar. It was heavy, fast, and fun stuff. I still love their original songs and actually really enjoy some of their newer stuff. They have always felt to me like their own genre of music because there really isn't anything out there that sounds like them IMO.
I heard Tears Don't Fall back in 2007 and I fell in love. Back then, they weren't touring here very much yet. They're an amazing band and I'm so happy they're still around. I'm also super happy I found them early in their career.
As a British 30 something Bullet were absolutely iconic and I have seen them at a few festivals in the last few years and they are still absolutely on form. They are doing a co headline tour with Trivium next year which I can’t wait for. I think you should do a video on the south Wales music scene in the 2000s because loads of pretty big Emo/alternative bands (at least by uk standards) at the time were all from a small geographic area in south wales including Bullet, Lostprophets, kids in glass houses, the blackout, you me at six and Funeral for a friend. Like the uk version of New Jersey or something haha. I think it could be an interesting video. Something in the water down there was just pumping out emo bands haha.
As Silence Falls awesome welsh band too Really liked to listen them, glad to find them in russian bfmv fans forum at late 00s Thnx for other mentioned bands, would check it
@@Solod49 just an FYI on Lost Prophets (in case you are not already familiar with them), their frontman committed heinous crimes involving a minor so they are taboo. Prior to his arrest, they were easily as big as BFMV and Funeral for a Friend.
Pretty sure Youmeatsix were from Surrey. But I love this idea!!! Yes to a whole video on the south wales scene in the 00’s! Special shoutout to kids in glass houses, my favourite from that era, and also motherfucking SKINDRED! Who everyone seems to miss out but were a huge part of that scene!
@@mjwoodroff8446genuine the Watkins crimes probably had a lot to do with killing the scene in south Wales. Lostprophets were hailed as heroes, they took a load of local bands on tours with them! Hell, he did guest vocals on an EP track with the blackout! Then he gets exposed as being the most evil of sex offenders, it tarnished the scene massively. Felt like everything he’d touched was dirty now.
@@thesagebrushkid1 I would agree, the buzz around the scene was effectively extinguished around that time. As a local, I do wonder how much long term effect the Bridgend suicides had on the scene, too. A lot of negative press and the stereotypes surrounding the music.
As you mentioned by the end, they made me want to play the guitar. I wanted to learn to play after I listened to "Hand of Blood". These guys were also my introduction to heavier stuff around 2005. From them I jumped to Avenged, Trivium, Slipknot, among others. Bullet for My Valentine will always have a big space is my heart! And much like with Linkin Park, I do not care if they try new stuff, I will always listen with an open and critic ear!
Such a phenomenal band and one of my favourites. I still play their discography daily and cant get enough their music or their influence on my guitar playing. Great video, i wish you could do one for Funeral for a Friend and Trivium in the future.
BFMV just like the Linkin Park is a band that got onto top from the very beginning. As for me, Bullets made their best albums when they were young and full of energy. "The Poison" that took the world by storm and put them alongside with KsE, Trivium and As I Lay Dying in status of "Metalcore Kings". "Scream Aim Fire" was a bit more melodic but still full of that ferocious energy! "Fever" started to show the changes: guys became a bit older and started to write a bit different songs. Just like the Linkin Park's first 3 albums, BFMV are made their best on first 3 albums. They got succeeded worldwide and maybe that is the reason why they started changing their style. Time is going, music is changing and musicians are forced to change their music just to keep themselves afloat. I was listening to them A LOT back in the day and still I really enjoy their early records!
Was never a fan of this style of music, but I bought the The Poison album on a whim one day because the cover art looked cool. Still pop it on from time to time because of how fun it was and it brings me back to a good time in my life.
A band that really hits me right in the nostalgia. Thank you for your hard work putting this video together, Finn. 🙏 I know it's not what you're most passionate about, but it does allow me to learn about the music I grew up listening to.
I was a new kid in 3rd grade wearing my Disturbed shirt and this other kid came up to me and told me to look up Bullet for my Valentine on RUclips when i get home and we've been best friends for 20 years now
I remember seeing the Tears Don't Fall video on a children TV channel as a kiddo and it absolutely blew me away. After a couple years, I stumbled upon it once again and that was the gateway to the heavier side of things I needed.
The line up changed may have caused a change in their sound too. Jay and moose were awesome but Jaime and the new drummer are amazing. Jaime is super talented. He’s such a good singer and his screams are perfect live
I once joined the army reserves and did 1000 sit ups each morning which developed my metal core which is how I first got into bullet for my Valentine. Similar story how I discovered butt rock
In my younger days I was one of those ignorant metal only people. I heard the poison when it first came out. I was 24 then. With maturity I began to appreciate other types of music. BFMV kicks ass. Hand of blood, poison, scream aim fire. Great records
Thanks for making this video Finn. I can’t tell you how much I shamelessly love this band. I do kind of hate the reputation they’ve developed over time, but I have always adored their music. Scream aim fire reeled me in in 2008 and they’ve been my number 1 ever since. I think a lot of haters should really do a deep dive into bullets music. There’s so much more to discover than their (sometimes lackluster) singles.
I have always loved BFMV. They have great songs, guitars, drums and vocals. You can’t beat the album Venom! The haters clearly don’t like good musicians.
This is the shit I come here for! I love MCR, I love GNR from my childhood. Being in my 40s I’m kinda set in my musical ways and I thought Tears don’t Fall and Your Betrayal were good but never looked any farther into it. Bullet is what I’m going to be checking out on the job site radio today. Thank you once again Finn!
@@balu.92 well technical terms for instance the poison dart frog by its name is poisonous as it secrets poison from its glands present in its skin, but if a predator tries to bite it or eat it its fatal, the frog itself is not biting the predator in defense its just existing (tho it is not recommended to touch the frog as-well as our skin pores can will absorb the toxins). Where as for example lets say the black mamba (rest in peace kb24) is a venomous snake that when it bites you will inject toxins directly in your body causing death. That being said if you were to touch the snake (would not recommend doing it) you will be relatively safe as it has no glands to produce any toxins, but lets say you are on a survival situation if you were to eat the snake (again not recommended) you will live rather than the eating the poison dart frog. Hope that clarifies. I chose the words ingested as you will have to manually eat it or get it in your body like taking in food is called ingesting or ingestion, where inject is self explanatory. The choice of words sound poetic as i am a fellow musician myself ahahaha. Note:- not a native English speaker hope i didnt confuse you. Cheers to your songwriting 🍻
Which is a damn shame because I love BFMV's guitar solos I'll die on this hill that Scream Aim Fire are their best album, even better than The Poison for me. A lot of it has to do with the variety of the songs and solos on it
There’s still songs worthy of listening to on Gravity though. Really it’s biggest issue is that it’s best song is a bonus track and not on the normal version of the album.
Temper Temper to Gravity was a bit of a lull period for me, personally. Hand of Blood to Fever and then the newest album are right up my alley. That part of Knives that you included at 14:36 is just brutal. Hats off to Matt for being able to keep going with all the hardcore vocals after the troubles with his vocal chords.
I have Seen those Guys Like 7 or 8 Times over Like 15 years. Always enjoyed their Shows and every Album Had Songs i am rarely but Always coming Back listening to. They deserved every respect in the world, they are a great Band.
I really like the new "read the Wikipedia discography" style you've been doing in your "strange history" vids! We all get especially stoked for the album that "all the fans hated, but I personally love when artists step out of the box and try something new"!! Keep em coming!
BFMV was easily one of the biggest bands for me growing up, thank you NFS Most Wanted for showing me Hand of Blood, shit was insane for 13 yr old me, same with Blood and Thunder by Mastodon lol
BFMV have been a constant playlist band for me since the EP. I've owned every cd. I have a signed vinyl of 2020s self titled, and while they make great music... they're also just nice guys
BFMV were haircore. 80's hairmetal and haircore had som much in common. Tight pants. Big hair. Finger tapping riffs. Make up and nail polish. Emotional singing. Girls loved it.
I was really hoping their latest self-titled would re-blow them up. I thought it was flawless. Death By A Thousand Cuts is my favorite song they've ever done.

1. Scream Aim Fire
2. Venom
3. Fever
If I’m feeling like a 40yr old dad:
1. Fever
2. Temper Temper
3. Some SAF
If I’m feeling nostalgic:
1. Hand of Blood EP (we all know the title track but goddamn can we give Cries in Vain some credit? That song is anthemic as fuck)
Yo cries in vein is one of the best songs ever written imo. Lyrically it’s such a crazy concept alone and the delivery is 🔥
Bro, not metioning NFS Most Wanted is kinda wild. At least 50% of early fans got to know them from the games soundtrack.
Your a genius
I've met their bassist at taste of chaos 08, they were opening for A7X right after Atreyu and Blessthefall played. hell of a time!
i don't care what anyone says or how much time goes by, Tears Don't Fall is still one of the greatest metalcore songs to this day
I think very seriously that the biggest problem for Temper Temper was Matt's haircut, I remember it was a big deal at the time.
Just got on a Bullet kick recently and as I was revisiting their albums I thought "Has Finn done a video on them yet?"
Well here it is!
Bullet For My Valentine, without a doubt in my Top 10 favorite bands of all time! 🤘🏻
in my top 5. straight up, bro.
@@randommetalhead7 🤝🏻🤘🏻
I remember going to the library as a kid to use the computers and listening to "all these things I hate" Naruto AMV's on youtube. Very core memory and Bullet is one of the first bands that got me into metal/hard music in general. Love that these guys have seen the success that they have and are still going strong all these years later. Great video like usual!
I feel like Bullet is my generation’s Metallica. Loved this band since I was 14 and I will never stop listening to them. 🤘
Trivium**
@@Illiyinmusic trivium too, at one point I listened both interchangable and it was hard differentiating which is which.
@@Illiyinmusic funny you should say that! Trivium are the band that actually got me into Metal in the first place 🤣
For One, If It Wasn’t For BFMV I Wouldn’t Have Been Playing Guitar Right Now Or I Wouldn’t Have Known That Metal Existed Cause They Were The Very First Band I Got It To
2nd
Am 28yo Now But At The Time Being An 15yo Emo Kid I Didn’t Know If I Was More Metal Or More Emo Looking Back At It Cause I Thought I Was Emo But I Wasn’t Listening To MCR, Paramore, Panic At The Disco Or From First To Last.
What I Grew Up Listening To Was Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, System Of A Down And Butt Rock Stuff Lol
But Funny Enough I Did Start Listening Those Bands In My Early 20s And I Wasn’t Even Emo Anymore
I Guess It Was A Confusing Time In My Life.
BFMV was the first show I ever went to. It was 2006 at the House of Blues in Cleveland. There was hardly any one there and I'll always remember it.
As Silence Falls awesome welsh band too
Really liked to listen them, glad to find them in russian bfmv fans forum at late 00s
Thnx for other mentioned bands, would check it
@@Solod49 just an FYI on Lost Prophets (in case you are not already familiar with them), their frontman committed heinous crimes involving a minor so they are taboo.
If your high school girlfriend cheated on you in the 2000s...you were into BFMV and had one of their songs on your MySpace page.
Hahahaha yep and Room 409 is exactly my story on that.
Their first 2 albums are incredible, The Poison & Scream Aim Fire are some of my favourite albums of all time
As you mentioned by the end, they made me want to play the guitar.
Remember first time listening to BFMV, a girl in high school played Tears Don't Fall and been listening ever since
Same
BFMV was staying at the hotel I was at for Rockville 2023. Padge sat down with a few of us, already drunk 😂.
That's fucking awesome man.. amazing memory
Wow. Bullet for my Valentine , I was a huge fan of these guys back in the day . One of those gateway bands for me when it came to metal. Legends.
Such a phenomenal band and one of my favourites. I still play their discography daily and cant get enough their music or their influence on my guitar playing. Great video, i wish you could do one for Funeral for a Friend and Trivium in the future.
5:45 best description of BFMV's sound: MCR and Metallica's Baby. I would've said Alessana and Metallica's Baby. But MCR+Metallica is also perfect.
What bands do you listen to most often at the moment?
@@FELTSZ Frank Turner, Dave Hause, Against Me!, Eve 6, Spin Doctors, Social Distortion, Pennywise and jazz.
A band that really hits me right in the nostalgia.
Thank you for your hard work putting this video together, Finn. 🙏 I know it's not what you're most passionate about, but it does allow me to learn about the music I grew up listening to.
I LOVED Bullet for my Valentine when their first album dropped and scream aim fire was dope. I need to go check out albums I’ve missed
I was a new kid in 3rd grade wearing my Disturbed shirt and this other kid came up to me and told me to look up Bullet for my Valentine on RUclips when i get home and we've been best friends for 20 years now
Waking the Demon I believe was in Rockband which was my first exposure to the band. 🔥🔥🔥
I remember seeing the Tears Don't Fall video on a children TV channel as a kiddo and it absolutely blew me away. After a couple years, I stumbled upon it once again and that was the gateway to the heavier side of things I needed.
Thank you, NHL 06 and 09, for introducing me to this awesome band! 🤘🏻
It's not the The Punk Rock MBA video without nu-metal and metalcore.
And I love it
The line up changed may have caused a change in their sound too.
Hi dad
lol ok Herschel Walker 👍
“god forsaken Florida swamp”
Been waiting to hear you talk about Bullet for YEEEAAARS! So hyped you finally did it!
Finn has once again successfully capitalized on my nostalgia. Well played, sir.
He forgot to mention the most dramatic turning point in BFMV history
Matts hair change😢
I have always loved BFMV. They have great songs, guitars, drums and vocals. You can’t beat the album Venom! The haters clearly don’t like good musicians.
Excited to dig into this one later! May I also request a Strange History on Trivium, Motionless in White, Korn, Bad Omens, and I Prevail?
Loved The Poison and Scream Aim Fire back in the day… 😮💨 Nostalgic.
Thank you once again Finn!
i heard these guys on madden 06 for the first time. i cant count the amount of times i have heard "4 words (to choke upon)"...
Technically speaking off topic poison is ingested and venom is injected. In topic of music poison is glam metal and venom is black metal
Would like to hear why you classified each as such. Like what are the characteristics? I'm curious from a songwriting perspective.
What nobody talks about with Gravity is the lack of guitar solos. Not one. Entire record with no solo.
For real???
Which is a damn shame because I love BFMV's guitar solos
I'll die on this hill that Scream Aim Fire are their best album, even better than The Poison for me. A lot of it has to do with the variety of the songs and solos on it
@@MetalGildarts yep. Go listen to it. The single best part of a bullet song is missing from the entire record
@@aninfinitemindofmusicandreams respect
There’s still songs worthy of listening to on Gravity though. Really it’s biggest issue is that it’s best song is a bonus track and not on the normal version of the album.
I think people downplay BFMV's influence. My basic, pop-liking friends listened to them. Literally as the only band with screaming in their music
Oh man, this brings me back. Loved their early stuff.
Hey Finn, big fan of your deep dives on bands like this hope you keep it up!
I really like the new "read the Wikipedia discography" style you've been doing in your "strange history" vids! We all get especially stoked for the album that "all the fans hated, but I personally love when artists step out of the box and try something new"!! Keep em coming!
Hey, that's us in the bottom right corner at 0:50 😂🤙🏻
BFMV was easily one of the biggest bands for me growing up, thank you NFS Most Wanted for showing me Hand of Blood, shit was insane for 13 yr old me, same with Blood and Thunder by Mastodon lol
The Punk Rock MBA, Wow, this made my day brighter! Thank you!
Good to see the lads from Bridgend being featured here. Welsh bands were popular during the mid 2000's.
BFMV have been a constant playlist band for me since the EP. I've owned every cd. I have a signed vinyl of 2020s self titled, and while they make great music... they're also just nice guys
BFMV were haircore. 80's hairmetal and haircore had som much in common. Tight pants. Big hair. Finger tapping riffs. Make up and nail polish. Emotional singing. Girls loved it.
Poison is ingested, venom is injected
There's a lot a metaphor like that could represent based on their music's context queues.
Not synonyms tho
I was really hoping their latest self-titled would re-blow them up. I thought it was flawless. Death By A Thousand Cuts is my favorite song they've ever done.
