I discovered Greyson on RUclips as a guy who drums that crazy whiplash solo, and now I am so surprised to find out that he is drumming for ST, one of my favorite bands. It's crazy.
A Drummer that can do all genres, and tries everything out regardless of what other people say, and leaves people in awe while performing, is a Great drummer to me, You can get in and out of any type of genre, since your talent is UNDENIABLE. Greyson, you are AMAZING, KEEP IT UP! there's nothing like making people go crazy with your sound.
I grew up as a teenager on this band and now at age 51 seeing one of my new favorite drummers playing with one of my favorite old bands makes me really, really fuckin' happy. :) Keep kickin' ass Greyson!

Since then I've had no passion for drumming. It's been killing me. I have tried everything over the past few years to get it back. Then last week I seen your video on Drumeo!! I haven't seen anyone drum like you before!! Totally inspirational!! People often ask who my favourite drummer is. My answer has always been the same. Buddy rich being the first, then I usually mention Thomas Lang, and Arthur Kam for his inspirational Beat The System groove. Well as of now I say "have you heard of Greyson Nekrutman"? Times like this, when I see a clip like this one I realize that this timeline sometimes is awesome! A well regarded, young jazz virtuoso takes a gig in a band like this. Love the crossover, the musical openness. Music should be fun and it looks like Grayson is having a blast. This made my Friday!

I don't know about anybody else, but this cam footage and the sound of the vocals and guitars being hard to hear as clearly, really gave me that vibe of being on an island by yourself behind the drums. It was impressive and startling to watch that.

it makes total sense for him to play this type of music... If you watch those hyper-fast death metal drummers, you can see that they play more akin to a jazz drummer (ALL wrists, light sticks, not hitting too hard, arms close to body) than some guy just hacking away. you can play real fast if you play like a jazz drummer

You can have all the viewers in the world but if it's someone else's copyrighted song is in your video, you get nada, zilch, 0+0=0 .... Endorsers are gonna give you cymbals, drums, pedals, heads, etc... That's great but they're not gonna cut you checks to pay your bills.... Greyson will make more playing live playing with ST than he will from all the cover songs he's posted on RUclips... That's a hard seat to fill after dave leaving he has a strong feel and groove. It's not the drum set, though I do like Dave's company and brand choices
