tip for anyone new to this game having trouble dealing with traps, any floor vent looking thing that is spewing an elemental substance everywhere, if you just place a box or vase or any object really over it it gets rid of the surface.
Tip: make sure you do Gawin (let him live and escape) before Kniles the Flenser. Do Gawin, let him escape, then go to Kniles' dungeon and Gawin will be dead there, no doubt murdered on his way out (justice!). He drops more loot this way, including two scrolls and his robe. Then kill Kniles (make sure you visited him earlier to give him Atusa's leg to do related quest, when you kill him you'll get leg back, which Elf can eat for little bit of extra dialogue).
Not sure if it's because it's the Definitive Edition but you can get everything from the Tower from the beach using Teleportation. Also, if you have Pet Pal and talked to Buddy you don't need to kill the Source Hounds (unless you just want the XP). I had no idea about the Ancient Sword though...
On the way to the hound master, the room full of hounds, you don't have to kill them, if you have still have the red ball or leather ball you can distract them all and get exp. Then kill them. 🤣🤣 Bought the game the other day...love it.
On the boots of braccus Rex part ( the cliff was new to me ) you also can teleport someone by the beach a few steps aside the tower at the same direction pointed by the cliff
Now that the new patch came out with the Four Sisters (you can upgrade your gear to your current level), the best weapon for ranger/wayfarer is Shadow's eye (the crossbow the undead merchant gives you near the fort joy bridge when you escape). This weapon has piercing which ignores armor. My lonewolf Ilfan wayfarer kills EVERYTHING whether it be Jahan, Alison, etc.
Gotta love trying to get all the unique items, forgetting about withermoore's girdle, coming back after doing everything correctly, only to realize his corpse isn't there (probably because I had him open up something). No save to get it back either. oops.
For any one who dose not know the ring can be given to he lady to get a key for the keep were a teleport book can be found and also the traps with the gas in the jar area can be covered with the pots to cut it off. sword is now viper sword.
I'm playing on ps4 pro, and I can't get the grieves. How high does my wits have to be? Currently they are at 12. And I have a teleportation scroll, but grim won't meet me
Can you explain how to kill the shrieker? I'm level 6, haven't found out how to use my source ability yet. I don't think i have any source points, not sure about source vampirism either.
You need a special weapon to kill the shriekers. Either the wand from the madmans maze (entrance is on the beach next to the sanctuary) or Braccus Rex helmet from his armory (where you found Gareth). Maybe even Radeka's wand works, too (I haven't tried that one). Gareth will give you the quest to find this weapon as soon as you found him at the armory (northern ruins). You'll get a source point, each time you use one of those weapons.
The Radeka's wand gives you a skill which you use to kill the Shriekers from distance. ( the witch is located near a frozen dragon below a huge castle )
Honestly, the Braccus Rex Set is hardly worth it, its quickly obsolete by other gear waaaaay before you even have all the pieces, and its joke of a set once you're in ACT2... Shame...
the game is literally littered with unique and legendary items especially from act 2 you can win the game without even looting gear from enemies you will get most of your stuff from vendors, this is pretty sad actually
most of my stuff for my main rogue.. ive gotten from bosses. and a few sneaking items from quests/digging up stuff. havent really found many daggers or rogue stuff to buy.
I don't remember his name, but there's an npc to the right of the Fort Joy entrance, which tells you how to get the spell (it's a quest). Or you could simply buy, find or craft it. It's not that hard really :)
Also the big ass void turtle drops a unique wand + the magister talking to the elf prisoner about to turn her into a silenced monk drops a unique two hand hammer

I just got it, it’s only exclusive for Irfan Ben , the next best is Houndsmaster for Rogue rangers

just play the game, they aren't there for you to kill, but to progress the side quests, don't worry

How many points in wits you need to find the greaves of Braccus? My rogue have wits 13, but didn't find this. Sorry by the my english...kkk

the braccus set is cursed and cause crippled or buring or sth else. How is it going if man has a complete set of braccus. How to deal with the curse
You should be able to bless it (with the bless spell) to remove the curse. At least that used to work a few patches ago. I haven't played DOS2 lately.
You have to equipe the entire set to remove the debuff.
