The exhaust should be giving a good acceleration, but with that set up you should expect more top speed. Its a 70cc Malossi cylinder with a 21mm carb and a stage 6 exhaust with 5.1g rollers Malossi variator. Thanks
The clutch springs make a difference to the engagement of the clutch as the RPM builds, don't go too hard tension. The rollers will need to be adjusted to suit if you run with the Blue Torque spring. Trial and testing is the key to finding the best solution for your engine performance.
A performance Variator will help achieve this, dialling in the correct roller weights, step up the clutch spring set or adjustable clutch shoe (2nd option is better). Get a very flexible belt and make sure it sits high on the rear pulley at idle and high on the front pulley and high speed.
Hello, I have Aprilia SR with minarelli horizontal engine, it struggles to move from a stop and wont increase rpm until about 20 km/h. What do I need to change?
Hi there, my scooter automatically accelerates on its own when i start it. It creeps forward slowly and ideling speed doesnt effect it. Mechanic says its clutch springs. Is this true? I dont trust anyone in my area. Been burnt lots.
Clutch spring set for original clutch is Malossi 2912536. The order from highest tension to lowest is RED-YELLOW-WHITE so try the YELLOW and if you need more tension delay try the RED. wemalossistore.blob.core.windows.net/files/montaggio/pdm/7311401.pdf
The rollers should be changed to suit the Spring. Is the belt progressing to the top of the variator? Are the rollers too light? Find a suitable set of rollers for the tension of the spring.

Not sure that this spring would cause a grinding noise as it is not rotating..... look for something that has a rotational action that is worn in the transmission. The Shaft spacer that sits into the bearing of the clutch cover perhaps?

Hello, very good video 👍, i would like to ask , i have an aprilia sr50r and have Malossi with red clutch springs and torque spring , wondering if i could put a blue torque spring which is +106% , is that to much or do i have to change clutch springs too? Its a 70cc Malossi cylinder with a 21mm carb and a stage 6 exhaust with 5.1g rollers Malossi variator. Thanks
The clutch springs make a difference to the engagement of the clutch as the RPM builds, don't go too hard tension. The rollers will need to be adjusted to suit if you run with the Blue Torque spring. Trial and testing is the key to finding the best solution for your engine performance.
@@scooterstreetau thank you for helping the community🙏🏻
@@a.samatasss4731 There is a lot of amazing people out there sharing their information and for that we are grateful🙏all the best..
I have a stock 50cc engine, and i want more power from my transmission. What do you think is a good transmission setup?
A performance Variator will help achieve this, dialling in the correct roller weights, step up the clutch spring set or adjustable clutch shoe (2nd option is better). Get a very flexible belt and make sure it sits high on the rear pulley at idle and high on the front pulley and high speed.
Hello, I have Aprilia SR with minarelli horizontal engine, it struggles to move from a stop and wont increase rpm until about 20 km/h. What do I need to change?
To help increase the RPM, lighter rollers and tighter clutch springs. The carby must also be tuned to the optimal setting with the jetting.
Hi there, my scooter automatically accelerates on its own when i start it. It creeps forward slowly and ideling speed doesnt effect it. Mechanic says its clutch springs. Is this true? I dont trust anyone in my area. Been burnt lots.
Yes I would check the clutch shoes, when they fail they get Locked on to the clutch bell and cause a rotation of the rear wheel.
@@scooterstreetauthank you. I will check that too. Flywheel does seem to rotate the get stiff and loose again. Thanks for sharing and your video. 😊
Thank you, all the beast.@@jmdstudio6176
Please help. Which color (malossi) for honda dylan 125cc on the clutch? I have multivar 2000 variator 20x17x10.5g
@@scooterstreetau i will try white mallosi (30-35%) with yellow or red spring cluches? Is it ok??
@@scooterstreetau i was in motobike store and they told me for dylan fit malossi 2912536 (whiite, yelow, red) ?? Hm...
Clutch spring set for original clutch is Malossi 2912536. The order from highest tension to lowest is RED-YELLOW-WHITE so try the YELLOW and if you need more tension delay try the RED.

is this can do good performans dor 50cc
Yes, but really only if you're also installing a performance exhaust.
@@scooterstreetau i have gianeli rekord and rollers 4.7 malosi
@@MrZavraki Yes you should change the springs..
I put a 1500 contra in my clutch and my bike only goes 20kmh and sounds like it’s revving out. Like it’s full throttle how should I fix this
The rollers should be changed to suit the Spring. Is the belt progressing to the top of the variator? Are the rollers too light? Find a suitable set of rollers for the tension of the spring.
@@scooterstreetau u mean something like 8g
@@sigadoonie1613 Without knowing what condition and modifications the Scooter currently has I can't make any solid recommendations. What I can tell you is that the factory rollers are 7.5Gram. The spring that you mentioned @1500, are you referring to the Spring that sits on the torque driver. (Contast Spring) or the small clutch springs?
@@scooterstreetau I’m talking about the the big one that goes on the torque driver
@@sigadoonie1613 Yes ok, I am not aware of a 1500? Usually measured in K which is the measurement for the stiffness of the spring. What brand spring do you have? Please excuse me for the questions..
What type of clutch do you recommend for replacing an original clutch for an Aprilia srmt 50cc
Polini G3 is great.
@@scooterstreetau would that be okay with a leovince exhaust Tt?
@@burg4225 Yes for sure.. There are better exhausts available but the Leo is a good starting point.
@@scooterstreetau what are the benefits of a high performance clutch ?
@@lupurednic8624 Different performance manufacturers make differing designs but always Upgrade from the original design. The performance clutch may have a larger surface area on the contact pad giving maximum allowable grip. Some have a heavier throw out arm and adjustable weights within the arm to fine tune the contact pressure. We like the quick adjusting spring tension in the Polini clutch which saves loads of time when tuning the timing of engagement of the clutch on the Bell.
I used a pair of needle nose pliers and a screw driver and I didn't have to screw it down to the bench.
Nice work👍
I have a honda elite scooter and lately when I'm riding and slow down to a light the scooter stays on high rev and then goes down, what can that be?
Clutch pressure spring
You may have an air leak of the intake system. The air mix screw maybe out too far.
Hi my peugeot speedfight 3 can’t hold 9k rpm after accelerating from 0 it drops down to 7 and it rarely raises up to 8 and falls back to 7
MY SETUP
Qtre sport exhaust
Polini variator
4,5 g rollers
17,5 carb
As i said my acceleration is great but at 45 kmh it drops to 7k rpm and i rarely go over 65 kmh theres a sound that it wants to go faster, our suspicions are that our exhaust might have a limiter cuz a mechanic put it on and we didn’t check, CDI being restricted cause the mechanic also didn’t tell us anything and then my friend thinks its the clutch springs being too hard since they are stock
Did you jet the bike up when you installed the exhaust? Also 4.5g rollers sounds very, very light for a 50cc with a performance exhaust and variator. I would definitely recommend pen marking the variator to see that the belt is getting all the way to the outside. You may be correct to think the scooter will have restrictors. Check the exhaust, check the CDI-Rev on Main stand for a quick check and also the rollers may need to be heavier, try 6.5 gram and then trial and test.
@@scooterstreetau I tried heavier rollers it was even worse, my mechanic told me to get even lighter ones idk, and when i put my scooter on a mainstand it revs up to 11k rpm, and idk a mechanic installed my exhaust so he should of regulated the carb for it ( my mechanic also said that i need a contra spring and clutch springs, since mine is too hard, BUT our contra spring seems to press down with ease so im pretty confused)
@@scooterstreetau how do we mark the variator im sorry cuz i dont rlly know much about scooters just got this one in summer and we just had it fixed and start riding like a month ago
@@imdovis787 We have a series of videos relating to the variator, watch these ones. ruclips.net/channel/UCySQaQYtx9PVONqjwXKOZcgplaylists the pen mark tip is used on the variator face..
@@imdovis787 Ok trial slightly lighter rollers and test again. You need to firstly find out if the exhaust is restricted. When you fit the exhaust it is a must to do the Jet, Rollers and clutch spring set to allow the maximum advantage. If you don't do these things you may as well not fit the exhaust..
Thanks!
Welcome🙌. Thanks for watching.

What do I do if my clutch is stuck on 😂
What do you mean stuck on?
Its beter malossi clutch than stock for top speed
Really no difference, the largest contact pad will give the benefit.
lol a spring hook would have been nice
😆 did you watch the video, see the spring hook? 3:30 Do you need one?
lol yes
Do you need one?@@23bdubballa
im good got one the other day but thanks@@scooterstreetau
Yep if you hit paint with a steel hammer it will obviously chip,
There is a amazing invention called a rubber hammer 😬👍
Yep 😂😂, the pretty coloured paint is for the tension guide and the original factory springs were not painted😭
just replace it with a Malossi
Thanx for waste my time
Your welcome👌 thank for the SUB.
What to do if i dont have the variator tool
Find a way to lock the shaft when you release the nut. Power tool or air tool if available.
