Thanks man.....I went down to Echleberger Bridge today to fish and I could not get near the water, there were 19 cars and trucks there. I guess I lost my home base crappie hole now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys had a great day of fishing and lots of great food. Ryder does not like the camera when he is eating. lol Kathy and I are praying for Ang and the baby. He is going to be a strong and healthy baby just like Ryder was. We really have enjoyed your videos since day 1. God Bless you Guys. Kathy and I are going to be grandparents!!!!
Yes yes all your content is excellent,, just keep doing what you do,, and yes I am praying for your wife and baby, been there 2 times, a daughter and a son ,,
Blacknose crappie is what we call them on the Th river in Bama 😊 you know if that water is cold and you are going to use a stringer you can snip one of those gills and bleed those fish and the fillets will be a lot cleaner when you cut them up.
Pretty cool you're actually doing the same thing I'm doing. I was doing quite a bit of white bass fishing last year, but this year I've already went crappie fishing quite a bit. May not put in quite the effort this year to catch white's. I'm buying a tactacam cellphone camera tomorrow and taking it down to the hog wood's. Hopefully be doing a little bit of hog hunting. I am trying to catch the walleye spawning but no luck yet. They do run way up the river, but it's been low. Hopefully with all the rain we're getting this week the river will be coming up 🎣🎣🐗🐗🦃🦃🪤🪤
If my information is correct, Magnolia crappie are hybrids raised by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and are stocked only in Mississippi. They do have a black stripe on their back, but so do quite a few ordinary black crappie.

i know exatly where that is i usually kayak and jig the timber thats washed up under the pilons the crappie load up there till the white bass start running
Croppy is ok. A little soft and Mushy. I prefer a firmer fish like bream or Walleye. Croppy taste good. Just to mushy of a texture for me. Awesome video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That’s so crazy, I’ve fished there for years catching crappie and largemouth bass. That spot is super low on water compared to what it usually is. Now I’m gonna have to go back out there and catch some crappie but a little fun fact, that bridge that is to the left of y’all. Someone set that bridge on fire for no reason so you can’t fish off of it anymore unfortunately. I’ve always used a straight tail soft plastic lure but they will eat whatever you put in front of them. Awesome video and keep up the good work.
I remember when I was a kid and some guy was cleaning up on the crappies in a river and he cleaned out the whole school. I can no longer catch any crappie in that river today. Harvest wisely and perhaps others will be able to catch some in the future.
Black nose crappie have an unusual appearance due to a recessive hereditary trait that gives them a thick black line from the dorsal fin down the nose. Other than the appearance, they are the same exact species as black crappie (Pomoxis nigromaculatus). Black Nose Crappie: Everything You Need To Know Black-nosed crappie were first discovered in Beaver Lake in northern Arkansas in 1984. Because of this, they were originally named the “Arkansas black nose crappie.” They are now estimated to inhabit around 14 states in the USA!
Black Nose Crappie is what you had there, they are a black crappie with a gene that gives them that stripe, first found in Beaver Lake located in Northwest Arkansas, my home lake. I personally call them “Dale Fish” for Dale Earnhardt, looks like a racing stripe lol.
They call dem crappie MAGNOLIA Crappie - actually a crossbreed between two of the most common species of crappie, the white crappie, and the black crappie. Because of this, they look fairly similar and have the same basic habits and feeding patterns - with a Pitbull'ish temper makes'um a LiL bit mo aggressive - they seem to grow quicker , stronger - U know - a six million dollar man-fish !!! YEE YEE !!! dat some sciantist say HEY yall watch dis n make um have a SHARPIE marker stripe on um !!! Pray'n MOM n Baby !!! n you !!! N as always - Luv UR vids !! n catch'um while dey bitin !!!
