    Blacknose crappie is what we call them on the Th river in Bama 😊 you know if that water is cold and you are going to use a stringer you can snip one of those gills and bleed those fish and the fillets will be a lot cleaner when you cut them up.

    Pretty cool you're actually doing the same thing I'm doing.
    I was doing quite a bit of white bass fishing last year, but this year I've already went crappie fishing quite a bit.
    May not put in quite the effort this year to catch white's.
    I'm buying a tactacam cellphone camera tomorrow and taking it down to the hog wood's. Hopefully be doing a little bit of hog hunting.
    I am trying to catch the walleye spawning but no luck yet.
    They do run way up the river, but it's been low. Hopefully with all the rain we're getting this week the river will be coming up 🎣🎣🐗🐗🦃🦃🪤🪤

    That’s so crazy, I’ve fished there for years catching crappie and largemouth bass. That spot is super low on water compared to what it usually is. Now I’m gonna have to go back out there and catch some crappie but a little fun fact, that bridge that is to the left of y’all. Someone set that bridge on fire for no reason so you can’t fish off of it anymore unfortunately. I’ve always used a straight tail soft plastic lure but they will eat whatever you put in front of them. Awesome video and keep up the good work.

    Black nose crappie have an unusual appearance due to a recessive hereditary trait that gives them a thick black line from the dorsal fin down the nose. Other than the appearance, they are the same exact species as black crappie (Pomoxis nigromaculatus).
    Black Nose Crappie: Everything You Need To Know
    Black-nosed crappie were first discovered in Beaver Lake in northern Arkansas in 1984. Because of this, they were originally named the “Arkansas black nose crappie.”
    They are now estimated to inhabit around 14 states in the USA!

  • @joshcerasale9502
    @joshcerasale9502 Год назад +3

    Black Nose Crappie is what you had there, they are a black crappie with a gene that gives them that stripe, first found in Beaver Lake located in Northwest Arkansas, my home lake. I personally call them “Dale Fish” for Dale Earnhardt, looks like a racing stripe lol.
