    I died when Angel told Mike to be careful when he was feeding the geese that was special. He hunts mountain lion, hogs, bear, rattlesnakes all kinds of other critters and has probably shot his fair share of geese. I love seeing Angel in the videos she's cute as a button.

    • @BrianGay57
      @BrianGay57 4 года назад +4

      Zynoxic _ They taste a lot like fish flavored, kettle cooked potato chips. I just nibble them up to the point they are too thick.

    • @BrianGay57
      @BrianGay57 4 года назад +2

      Zynoxic _ The skin and fins have a strong fish flavor too, so if you like really mild flavored fish you might not like it. If you like sardines and anchovies you’ll love them!

    • @BrianGay57
      @BrianGay57 4 года назад +1

      Zynoxic _ Sorry, but I have only done this with crispy fried fish. Broiled or grilled fish might not be as good.

      I think you need a blind taste test with just fried bluegill and crappie. Eggwash fillets and put in 50 50 cornmeal + flour mix salt&pepper to taste. Now tell me crappie are better. To each his own, but I vote for Blue gill everytime.

    my sisters pond has massive bluegill and crappie... biggest crappie i've EVER seen. and always plentiful. i could literally eat fish 7 days a week if i wanted to with just a couple hours fishing most times. but yeah, that first bluegill you got was a monster! ... but you said bigger than most crappie and i've caught crappie three times that size in my sisters pond. the more i'm watching the more i'm impressed with the size of those bluegill... they're huge! your wife is beautiful! if she's good to you count yourself lucky and don't you forget it!

    On camping/fishing trips, my grandmother liked to serve bluegill for breakfast. The only thing I don't miss about those days is scaling fish. I have caught fish that size on a 1/2 inch piece of Slim Jim threaded vertically on a hook. Man, they slammed it!

    Ive always wondered if it was just fancy talkers calling them bluegill. I grew up in Georgia (all of 63 years) saying perch too. For that matter, every youngun grew up making "Brim Buster" cane pole, bobber, and fishing line for some quick summer fishing out in the woods.

    when my girls were teenagers we were at the Doral Country Club in Miami and I was catching Bluegill the size of a dinner plate from the lake on the golf course. I was using a yellow beetle spin on a lite rod and was catching a fish on nearly every cast off a concrete block retaining wall. They were the biggest I've ever seen and were almost impossible to grip because they were so wide. Gotta love big Bluegill as nothing fights like they do for their weight.
