Really nice to see you hit some panfish! Trout vids are fun, but something about bluegills and crappie that makes you feel like a kid again! More of this please!
You fish for a good time + fill'n your belly, That mind set is perfect. Besides, buying seafood at a grocery or a fresh seafood place is absolutely freaking crazy with the pricing. Carry on young man, I truly enjoy your videos.
Sweet ! Another great video. Hey, fishing’s fishing, as long as you’re catching something, that’s all that matters. Love how you never give up ! Fish on !!!
I love panfish, I’d be more than happy to see more panfish videos on your channel. Maybe ice fishing at Mantua Reservoir, it’s famous for its panfish ice fishing
Like button pulverized!! I was grinning all the way through and couldn't wait for the cook up. I ate bluegill all summer long and never got tired of those tasty fillets. One thing I really dig about this channel is you're out there braving all matter of weather to bring us fresh content--gotta admire your grit bruh! I'm down for another panfish episode, but hey make sure to rinse the fillets extra good to avoid that fishy taste. Freakin killer vid my man!
Your one tough son of a gun! What would keep you from fishing? Maybe a hurricane! Just bought a new rod that you would love. It's a 7' ultra lite SST Okuma. Big fan of ugly sticks but this would be really great for the small streams.
awesome vid man! i’m a new subscriber i found your content yesterday and i’ve spent most of my time going back and checking out your older videos. cheers from wyoming!
Panfish are always fun. If theres panfish at all swimming at my target destination you can bet I’m bringing a rod for them. Panfish jigs never leave my tacklebag!
Woo-hoo, getting on the hard water! Well, I suppose semi-hard water, haha. Just did my first overnighter on the ice at The Berry last night. Got down to -13° outside our tent at night 🥶
You should invest in a sonar bobber, when I pond fish I use my Ibobber to check the activity in the water instead of sitting there fishn with no fish. It works great
Hey man to get rid of the fishy taste. Use some Morton salt. Soak your filets in water with the salt with water. 10 15 minutes. It's helps a lot and of course rinse of your fish
People let the small gills go and keep the big one for eating but I'd say do the opposite. The perfect size for eating is should only be around 3 fingers top to bottom for sizing. Anything bigger will taste fishy because they are too mature. I usually just deep fry whole with salt and pepper until golden brown and make sure its a crispy golden brown. You can just munch on them like chips with no fishy taste.
A bluegill is a part of the sunfish family but is not a perch. Perch species include Yellow Perch, Walleye, and darters. However I disagree with you as far as catching them in the summer or the winter it is no difference. To me bluegill have never tasted fishy and I catch most of mine when they are bedding. Bluegill is a tasty fish and not gamey at all.
Hahaha super secret spot . I need to get down there and try this out. I live right next to this SUPER SECRET SPOT, :D

No Tell 'em Marina. LOVE IT!
Great vid! Gotta admire the determination, catch & cook!
Nice to see you change things up a bit... another great video
Ice fishing is something I never have done in my life. Looks so freezing out there.
I usually eat catfish and crappie but anytime I get a good sized bluegill it goes into the pan too. Fun to catch and they taste great

Okuma. Big fan of ugly sticks but this would be really great for the small streams.
Awesome video! Like you said, it’s fun to change it up sometimes. You should do a catfish catch and cook, they fight so hard!
If you come down to the Layton area there is a resovoir called Hobbs and has cutthroat rainbow brown trout bass and panfish
awesome vid man! i’m a new subscriber i found your content yesterday and i’ve spent most of my time going back and checking out your older videos. cheers from wyoming!
I just got done making some elk jerky and now I can watch fishing videos . :)
Pan fish are the funnest and best fish to eat in my opinion
Panfish are always fun. If theres panfish at all swimming at my target destination you can bet I’m bringing a rod for them. Panfish jigs never leave my tacklebag!
Those gills are huge. Think you found your new gill spot!
Nice bro. Gotta love hitting the secret spots! 😉😂
Wish we had panfish where I live. Great video
Bluegills are actually really tasty. Just hard to find decent size one.
They the best!
That thing is huge! For a bluegill
Love the video
Wow
can you use canola oil instead of peanut oil
Woo-hoo, getting on the hard water! Well, I suppose semi-hard water, haha. Just did my first overnighter on the ice at The Berry last night. Got down to -13° outside our tent at night 🥶
Hell yea! Mixing it up with a bluegill. I enjoy those super ultra light chsmmels targeting these
thats awesome! Looks like your car is the only one there. What state is this in?
It's nice to see the switch up video and those fillets looked pretty dam tasty.
Thanks for watching!
That hurt to see your throw that last big one back 😂 lol
Happy christmas, early but better early than late
Fish tastes like fish. lol. Nice catch.
Thanks for the Adventure Share.
What rod and reel are you using?
Do you Descale those little guys before you fry them?
Yeah for sure.
Awesome as always brother 👊👊🇺🇸🇺🇸
What rod and reel are you using
Great Video!
I would love to do a blue gill catch & cook!😋 no idea where to find them tho lol
We’re you ice fishing at the provo marina in the first spot?
Dude I had no clue my favorite fishing youtuber fishes the same spots as me
Use a small amount, maybe 2 leafs of fresh saffron, to make a gamey taste go away. Works great on fish.
I love pan fish. Honestly, taste wise I’d prefer crappie or bluegill over a trout. But I prefer trout fishing over pan fishing lol
man i love this very secret spot lol😂
Great video nice to have diversity. Plus I’ve never heard of a single person that doesn’t like to eat bluegill.
Your amazing fisherman keep it up bro
Nice Catch..
What ever bites catch n cooks. 🤙
I want to do more none trout catch n cooks!
@@bassntroutfishing can't wait man! I wanna do some this upcoming year as well.
Bluegill taste delicious

A cool change of content! Still prefer the trout vids though. Lookin forward to more of those in the future!

Does it actually work? I’ve looked into one but is it worth it?
@@veryangrydodo2376yes it does it tels u the depth of the fish and estimated size and water temps
@@rickyr7068 gotcha ima buy one I was looking at the garmin brand

To get the fishy taste out, soak em in Apple Cider vinegar for about 20 minutes and also season the actual fish right before you put em in the oil
nice knife in thumbnail , what is it?
In Nova Scotia, we call your "white bass" (white perch). Sooo friggin tasty, but frying your fish had me drooling man.
Crispy bluegill tail batter and fried chip umm. The tail chips are the best
Looks good bro!
It was!
Man that was a piggy bluegill, so cool.
When I catch those I call them blue gilla gorillas!❤
Just caught a 15” rainbow out of a pound in Filer Idaho
1st cast
We ate
It was a Rapala rainbow jerk bate
Nice job man!
I have that too lol. Demon docker sonnnnnn!
Nothing is as good as perch 👍🏻
Definitely not a bad idea to switch it up. Urban fishing like that almost state record crappie?
yeah those were giant bluegill by any standards!
You are awesome Bro
For real
Thank you!
Wow those are big
Looks like Willard Bay. I know Willard is only about 6-7 feet deep.
Fish taste better in icy cold water for sure. I believe it's way less algae in the water
Fr the thumbnail gave me ace video vibes
Hi, where are you from
Get a pair of forceps and just clip them on your jacket. Much easier than unhooking those with bare hands.

Maybe fox appeared to tell you how to catch Bluegill by not moving the bait☺

Hahaha fruit snacks for breakfast.

Way do some people call bluegill Bram
Bro ditch the veggie oil, corn, soy, they will damage your body, I love gills too, try cooking coconut oil, much better, good fishing.
Who woulda guessed fish has a fishy flavor
*eats fish, says it has a fishy flavor* lmao man you’re eating fish what did you expect?
Just busting your chops, great vid
Man you see a lot of wildlife, dead cougar, foxes. What's next?
I rather eat blugill over white bass or croppy any day.
🇦🇺
fish are supposed to have fishy flavor!
Hybrids...
use buffalo sauce
I just got done making some elk jerky and now I can watch fishing videos . :)
