Living in an area with a bait n tackle shop that big boggles my mind. We have two big lakes and some trout streams in my area of Virginia and our only live bait option is a mom and pops convenience store and Walmart and two rows at Dunhams sporting goods for equipment. Tennessee , Kentucky and Alabama are truly blessed fishing states

Back in the 90s a family farm pound that was being swallowed up by weeds I caught a 3lb crappie. We took it home and cooked it it was pretty bad not as bad as tilapia I will take farm raised catfish all day long.

You should use number 6 circle hooks when fishing with minnows for Crappie. The small hook with no long shank lets the minnow move more naturally 😁🇺🇸🛶🎣
