Cool to see you fishing down here in my home area! US41 has been getting hit heavily on the weekends by people fishing. I'm surprised you caught as many as you did. I'm sure you were there mid week but usually all of those spots you were at are full of people. I might actually be there this weekend with the kids. Take that loop road one day all the way to the other end. 24 miles of some beautiful woods and bodies of water to fish! Lots of little honey holes throughout
i fished Loop last year but didnt get to it this year, it is definitely fun

The everglades can be very magical but it’s definitely not the same with all the construction/redirection of water and the peacock killoff from the weather a year or so ago. I miss the old glades and all the spots and holes that are being paved over😢

Take an empty cooler or something to put in front of you if your worried about alligators that much. Being in Florida u get used to it but it sucks having to fish that far from the waters edge. I understand your concern completely just saying

Just a little piece of advice, that gator 🐊 can run 35 mph! You couldn’t make it to your truck 🛻 in time. Be careful!
