I grew up right at the edge of civilization on Tamiami trail and that spot where you filmed the intro was my first and favorite fishing spot of all time, great to see someone that travels the country fishing, fish the Everglades for the first time in such a fun spot/area 👍
I fished a canal that runs from the Everglades to Ft Lauderdale. I caught peacock bass, big largemouth, and as I got closer to the ocean, all kinds of snappers and stuff. It was incredible
@@LJEliteVipersThere's a few. A map will show all of them. I fish the C-14, which runs from Pompano Beach to the 'Glades. iirc the C-13 and C-12 run through Ft. Lauderdale.
Pretty cool variety of fish…I’ve heard those cichlids are really invasive. Hard to believe that fish you can see in a fish tank could get that big! The gators add a new element of excitement to the game!
I used to do that type of fishing all of the time! Alligators love the splashing of you catching a fish, I'm surprised you didn't see more honestly. Great vid man
That gator was offended by you wearing crocs. I was surprised you didnt catch any large mouth or peacocks. Im headed down to that area in January . Thanks for the video.
Except for the bluegill's. Everything else you're not suppose to throw back in. Ijs Great video. I fish up and that road 3 times a week. I enjoy that area.
Nice video. Since South Florida is sub-tropical, you should fish the everglades and Big Cypress Swamp in January. The weather is dry and comfortable, and the fish are ravenous! I've caught 3 and 4lb Red Tiger Oscars on a 11g Rapala.
I switched to mostly trout fishing in Shenandoah, but when I was fishing for warm water game fish in NOVA I always did pretty well. There's no shortage of bass and bluegills/sunfish
@@coleslaw3422 Hi Cole. Not sure what planet you are on, but I have yet to find any Trout in Shenandoah, aside from the day of stocking, or super tiny micro Brook Trout way up in the trickles they call streams in the mountains, and almost no decent bass in NoVa as I have been fishing everywhere here heavily for the last several years and the pressure/trash/pollution/cleaners are insane. Yes I know how to fish and live on one of the local waters. Nobody cares about children's panfish either. Prove me wrong, please.
@@coleslaw3422 Agreed, I haven't fished a dock in ages. I regularly wade all the local creeks and rivers, or kayak fish them. Also kayak fish the local lakes. This year the creek and river fishing has been really bad due to all the flooding in spring and early summer. Yesterday my local creek produced 7 bass (but all under 1lb) for the first time this year. Normally this year it was been 1 fish per outing if that.
Nice to see the Everglades coming back. They were in bad shape and then the residents here in FL voted to add a small tax to get the Everglades back in shape. Great to see soo many different types of fish. If you go to the actual beach and use a simple line with hook, sinker and a live or fresh little shrimp you can catch some great pretty fast. I laughed when my friend told me to fish there and about 10 mins later I caught a large drum fish. Keep the vids coming and btw I would be careful reaching for that fish with your net. Those gators can actually jump pretty high
I’ve been to Florida many times because I live a state over but I haven’t done much fishing there but I wonder what the biggest bass is that’s been caught from a roadside canal like that
i did this same thing 60 years ago. caught lots of bass. i never stand next to the highway, one drunk, person not paying attention, talking on the phone, and your dead.
Happy your home safely it's a great place to visit horrible place to live based on my experience creeks are cooling down were getting rain fall trouting should be good this year😃
You have to be careful fishing spillways, canals, and bridges on the side of the roads because bigger gators and snakes tends to hang under and around those areas. Glad you guys were passing attention and not just hanging out close to the edges. Gators are a lot faster than what most people see or experience.
Where the hell have you been, was starting to worry! Thought the gators had got you!!?🤣 Great video and fantastic to see you again....and remember to watch out for the gators!!
Your fishing in the wrong spot for peacock bass. The Everglades is not the ideal place for peacock bass. You have to fish in Miami, Broward or West Palm Beach any lake or canal. If your at a spot fir 15 minutes and you haven't caught anything move to a different spot.
That’s true cuz I fished up all the peacocks in the area when I was 11 by fluke. I was with distant family on casual fishing and caught 32 fish. My secret? Literally using the most recent caught fish as bait if it’s not an eater
Good to see u hitting my homes spots bro. the Gar and Oscar are invasive be careful of them gartors, also if u can get to Flamingo u can spot fish some big Redfish bro
Glad to see you again and great catches! It's been getting farther in-between videos lately I was getting a little worried that you might have quit. LoL! Hope to see more videos in the near future! 😁

Great vid as always man. 🙂👍 Hopefully you were able to get outta Florida before Ian made landfall. 🙏😬 Man them gators can move😳...plz keep these vidz comin bro. Peace ✌😎
You netted that one fish at waters edge, not 2ft from that gator submerged under the tunnel that you saw on the next fish release. That could have been the end of you. I gave the video a like, but I almost could not watch it all, anyone fishing there, or going near the waters edge is dam fool.
And the beginning is the problem with the Everglades. Gators everywhere and they aren’t afraid of people. They also can jump much higher than the bass boats people use. It’s only a matter of time before they start pulling people off them.
Yes, right?🐍 Those Alligators🐊🐊, they've started conspiring with the Crocodiles lately, & you know, you sure as hell hit that nail on the head! Both are planning on taking folks off bass boats starting THIS SUMMER.Let's make certain that word gets out... so we can save all the Bass fisherman🐊🐊
I'm back! Sorry for the delay :) Stay tuned for more videos!
It became your job so it makes it harder to always want to get up and go. That's what happened isn't? Lol JK😂
Honestly as much as people are on the phone driving nowadays the cars are probably more of a danger than gators

Cool Footage of the Gator coming after your fish. Thanks for posting.

Great change up! Really cool that you could see so many different fish swimming around. And let's not forget the gators too!
4:22 big bass
Nice I always wanted to fish those spots in Florida heading down that way this month I'm pumped for it
The Glades is great. I caught a huge snook out there.
Tarpon out there too!
Been looking forward to the Florida videos! Hope you got in and out ahead of the storms

Awesome video. Spots like that first one with multi species are what I dream of…….. minus the gators.

Good fish too many gators for me
First rule of fishing in Florida. Never turn your back to the water…..
I agree but only the fresh water. fishing the beach is where its at from land tho.
Don't go down there, don't go down there, that's what i'm thinking the whole time. Those alligator are not messing around. Nice video
Yeah, part of me was thinking the same thing haha thanks for watching!
So many fish in FL, so many invasive species, yet my home waters are almost devoid of game fish in Northern Va.
Really aggravating.
I also live in Northern Virginia, and I feel the same way.

Thats funny i was thinking where you were.what was that with the spot on the tail ?nice size gator.them sicklets are gorgious fish
Hello! What is the fish you caught at 8:37 called? I have seen plenty of those but was never able to figure out what they were. Thank you in advance!
pretty sure that's an Oscar

miami canals have plenty peacocks. grab a dozen large goldfish from petco.

@FishHawk what lure are you using. I am on my flight returning to Seattle. I was just down in FL. And I was pretty successful using a rooster tail
Good you beat the storm out of there
Yeah I was thinking the same thing! Great timing haha
I’ve mentioned the tires in the water where you fish in WV, I lol’d when I saw the tire in this FLA vid😂 Cool catches man:)
They’re everywhere 😂 thanks for watching buddy!
Next time you are in Florida go to the falls boat ramp in Miami kayak or small boat needed you will catch monster Peacock Bass in the 4-8 lb range...
Thank you! I will definitely keep that in mind! 😎
Awesome video ! Definitely been missing the content ! Still waiting for those fish hawk spinners and the new single hook version too !

Those were cool looking fish. Including the four legged ones.
I agree 😁 Thanks for watching!
From what I saw the Cichlid is her hat. The pink color looked kind of sick in the lid...

Do you need any licenses for there

Those Mayan’s make a tasty fish sandwich. Canal fishing is fun.
Interesting! I didn’t know they were good eating. Maybe have to do a catch and cook next time 😁
Did everyone one win the kayak or was your post hacked?
Makes me miss Florida. 👍🏻
and the PeacockBas love top water and if u use the smaller bluegills as bait u can catch some monster chubby bass
I’ll try some topwater next time!
those mayan cichlids are tasty!
There was another fish just above the Alligator cruising off.
There were so many fish in those canals. It was unreal!
Amazing fishing brother...🤩🤩🤩🥰😇😇❤❤👌👌🙏🙏🙏

Why throw invasive fish species back into the water??
Good thing your not fishing in Florida now!!!!
I hate seeing old tires in the water

people don't like doing it but you should humanely remove the invasive fish from the water.
