I fish some really small bodies of water, I just get too overwhelmed with the task of breaking down the big lakes. I feel like I can focus better on the available structure and try to get a pattern going . Problem is it takes me 10 fish to get to 100 inches somedays😂

100% agree. 2024 will be season #3 to fish small water only... love it. Spent years on big water being hand cuffed by weather....ugh.
Jerkbaits, jerkbaits, jerkbaits. Smallies, Largies, walleye and off course ditch pickles (northern pike) is mostly what I catch.
Great way to go through a fishing season.... yes Michigan resident here.

I have used a smaller lake in my area to teach my grandsons different techniques even though the fish we catch are in the one to two pound range. They are just learning to fish and it's a clear lake where I can watch the lures they are using. Then when they go up north they have several techniques under their belt.

Great content Ben. I couldn’t agree more with you about fishing these smaller bodies of water. I used to fish a small 36 acre lake quite a bit and had so many memorable times fishing that lake. I really learned how to be a better pattern fisherman because of what I learned fishing there that eventually helped me breakdown bigger lakes and reservoirs better. You did also discussed some possible negatives on fishing some of these smaller bodies of water but the positives certainly usually outweigh the negatives.👍🏻😊

Good video! Around mid mi. Without the tittabawassee river chain available these lakes get pounded. 3 to five tournaments a week. On lakes 500 acres or less. You have to pulled out all the tricks to catch em sometimes. Especially without ffs. Keep up the good work Ben.
