      Hello Sir , what is that green rod is?

  • @uncletiggermclaren7592
    @uncletiggermclaren7592 3 месяца назад +728

    Sir. When you put your outboard motor on with the screws, you should add a short lanyard to tie it to the boat also. Those screws often work loose, and then the motor can be knocked off the back , and it will go to the bottom. If you look just below the screws on the shaft housing, you will find a strong small ring on the side of the motor, this is for a lanyard.

      @@AjaxaxxessI am most of a hundred years old. I remember when almost NO ONE had them, and then Johnston Seagulls were the gold standard !.
      And I have lost two from the screws unwinding when some kid or grand kid was told to take the motor down onto the boat, and didn't tighten it up properly and didn't put the lanyard on. And known many people drop their outboard when they came into a beach or estuary and ran it on a sandbank "pop" it bounces up in the air and is gone to the bottom. You usually get it back at low tide then though.
      I was even diving for crayfish with some brothers who had tanks, and in one morning they found two motors !. One really good one, one that was trashed.
      Once you used to be able to strip down and clean a motor you found on the bottom, I knew of people doing that to really quite valuable motors that they took off the bottom. I imagine now, you wouldn't be able to repair a modern one.

    Here in Canada there are many mountain lakes that have houseboats for rent and you have all the benefits of a house but on a boat. They're especially prevalent in our Western most Province of British Columbia, there are a lot of houseboats for rent on the Shuswap Lake in the Kelowna valley. That is considered the hottest part of Canada and there are LOTs of fruit orchards there and Vinyards for the making of Wine. But I totally understand your setup there, it's cheap, and it breaks down easy into tiny parts that are manageable/ A lot less expensive than renting a houseboat for a weekend, that is for sure! I really enjoyed your Shenanigans on your makeshift fishing trip. Looking forward to more videos from you!

Plus your tent was floating on water, which i believe that'd cut down the chances of getting insects or snakes even, wandering inside of your home sweet home there 😅 That was just such a sweet spot to camp and cook your food without any worry of the outside world and not to mention that you secured a decent roof on top of your head there, so you were all set and safe hehe..* 😇🤗

You have good boy Scout knot tying skills. Do you ever secure the two boards to the poles on the base of the raft? Particularly as you use one of the boards as the surface to support the sleeping cot which then supports and is attached to the tent🎪. Many thanks for sharing 🙏your experience.

    Looks pretty fun. Being on the water is cool. I like that there isn't a lot of wind.

    Nice! If that was me, I would somehow dump myself and everything in the water - even with how smooth the water was. Lol. The gentle rain does induce one to nap. Arigatou, my friend, and stay safe

    we loved your video. wish you the best on your next journey. Hope you will get a serious boat that you can spend a night and do better without hassling with all the rain cover, and converting canoe and little boat.❤

    Love your videos. You sir have inspired me to get out and have more adventures. I've done way more fishing and hunting since ive ran across your videos. In the rat race it's easy to forget to do the things that make you happy.

    *For solo adventures like this, especially deep into the jungle, high up in mountains or any other places where you'd mostly be all alone, and that getting any help whatsoever gonna be hours from where you'd be at, i suggest that you always carry a gun on you.. You never know what life threatening danger you might land yourself into, and being alone like that you definitely gotta have some good enough protection on you for your own very safety.. Not just some crazy azz humans but there might also be some big hungry wild animals lurking all around that you don't want em to get anywhere near you orelse it'd just be game over for you and being so far off from civilization, you might find yourself left bleeding to death or just hidden away somewhere from whatever situation that is that you had to run away from, without food or drink for days if not weeks.. So always have a good enough weapon on you when going on such adventures all alone, weapons that will save you from all these troubles and which gonna always assure your safety..*
