    The cindy seems almost exactly like a hair jig, would you say they are interchangeable?

    Great video Ben amd I got my hands finally last month on the Great Lakes Finesse Underspin in both silver and the gold blades. I only picked up spicy melon as I have so many different small plastic style swimbaits to try the underspin with. I really like the Megabass okishira screw head and will use that with similar straight plastic swim baits like the Cindy Rig. Will hopefully get out end of July as going on vacation for over 2 weeks so no fishing till I am back. Can't wait to try them out and keep the great videos coming!

    Good breakdown when to use which. Curious how you decide when to pick up a Cindy vs a hair jig?

    Thanks Benjamin… I bought all that stuff last year, was afraid to use it. So small..lol. This gives me a little confidence to get out and throw em. Fish on sir! 🎣

      It is so small relative to everything else, and it takes a little bit of fishing it to build that confidence, but it straight up catches bigs

    headed up to hubbard lake myself for a couple weeks. Haven't had much success there in July the past few years besides the occasional biggin on a drop off with a ned rig. Staying on the north side near east bay. Is it too late to use a cindy? Maybe we aren't fishing deep enough. No electronics on the boat besides a gps lake map on my phone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    been doing these techniques for the past 12 years. I custom make a similar but better underspin. it was a good ride with almost no other anglers using these techniques. THEY WORK.....some days way better than others

      Nil I spent 80 a week ago. Next day I threw the sneaky in a river on water with maybe a foot of clarity. The sneaky caught everything. Rock bass, small mouth, largies. Just about anywhere I was casting it it was getting hit or chased

    Ben quick question, were you doing this technique around previous GPS spots of know smallmouth beds in Lake Hubbard, because i have fished Lake Hubbard several times and its nothing but a 1/2 mile flat that runs the circumference of the lake with scattered rock, timber and some weeds. This technique doesnt seem like it’s one to go aggressively searching for bass if you were a newby to this lake. Isnt this a lake you have logged hours and hours on? Just keeping it real. Thanks

      Hey John, when I went up for pre practice I had never fished the areas I was starting in. I picked an area where I thought fish would stage or spawn based on what I could see on google earth/topo maps (lots of dark spots, grass, subtle depth changes, big flats/bays). From there I put the trolling motor on 5 or 6 and covered as much water as possible. I’m three days of practice for that tournament I covered as much of the west shore as I could - hitting literally the entire west shore of the lake, targeting whatever depth I was getting the most bites or thought would be most effective (6-9fow). I’ve spent some time on Hubbard, but prior to this tournament had only spent maybe 5 days on, most just fishing history

    Is a 4000 size spinning reel to large for these lighter and longer rods?

    • @brnowak_fishing
      @brnowak_fishing  7 дней назад

      @@randygrueb7058 no not necessarily, whatever you can cast furthest with. Normally the larger the reel, the easier line comes off, so the farther you can throw
