#fujifilm #xpro3 #camera - Наука
Never owned a Fuji camera only small compacts from Sony. I’ve always loved Fuji’s outlook on photography, this could well be my first Fuji camera
Another great job. It is always refreshing when a camera is reviewed emphasizing some of the nice features. Too many reviewers get into the specs game and compare against other brands. Your reviews are so much more interesting since they zone in on what something can do. As you said in the past, if we keep telling companies what is good about their product, they might keep doing it and other companies may pick up on it. Once again, great job.
How long did I spend making that silly dial turning countdown thing? ...Way too long. 🤓🤣🤦♂️
Gerald Undone, but it’s absolutely beautiful.
I think it's pretty cool!
It's a nice little detail that separates you from the rest. Keep it up.
I thought it was super nifty...
X-trans 4 used in x-t30 x-t3 and now xpro3 X-trans is filter array unlike most CMOS sensors featuring a conventional Bayer filter array, all those sensors mentioned are cut down from same platern that is used for gfx100 and Sony a7r4. Sensors in Fujis developed by Fujifilm and manufactured by Sony for Fujifilm.
Haha, I love that vintage dial showing the 7 things and the nostalgic music! Good work sir!
Thanks so much! 🤓🙏💜
As a former film shooter, I could never understand the gripe about batteries that can yield 250 to 600 shots. You can squeeze 600 with the XPro3. Just put two extra small matchbox sized charged batteries into your bag or pocket. No big deal. It takes all of 15 seconds to switch batteries.
i love fuji's color and their entry level kit lenses are sharp for their price..fuji really stepping up their game these past years.Very good review Gerald.
Busy decorating my new editing studio.... Oooh a new Gerald video notification! Time for a coffee and feet up. Thank you Gerald 😎
Super helpful having a reliable review on the support role that video could play with this camera.
I have no need for a camera like this but still enjoyed the video, and I love how you keyframed the saturation before transitioning to the B&W photo @ 6:25... it's the little things that make a great video/channel!
Gerald, really enjoyed this non-stuffy and aesthetically pleasing preview. You brought up some great points and offered a great perspective.
My film loving heart needs this beautiful camera! 😍
I’m waiting for the X-Pro3’s release and I keep coming back to this video due to all the information and review style. Thanks 👍
3:23 more than the explainers, I appreciate that there are hybrid shutter modes at all
I am a big fan of your quality content. I bought my Sony after watching your review. Now my secondary camera is the fujifilm x mount for the lightness. I wish you can continue to inspire others by also reviewing some of the fujifilm prime lens.
Thanks for the quality content Gerald!
This is a very surprising camera. I didn't expect to enjoy this review so much, thanks!
Thanks for the images and video in this review.
Can I just say...wow at the pictures you took! Beautiful shots Gerald and a wonderful video as well, I appreciate your attention to detail in sound design & mix.
Thanks, Seth! You rock, buddy! 🤓💜🙏
what a fabulous review I personally have used the XPRO1 since it was released but the viewfinder is not the best, looked at several upgrades and always come back to this, and your review is one of the best, sorry it is the best, no thrills no techno rubbish ..thankyou
Nice to see ya out of the office! Get a chance to see how expertly you shoot in the field! Another great video! That extra work on the dial paid off. that was cool
That was the best XPro3 review I have seen! I like your style, thank you.
Excellent review - thanks
I received mine today, going through the setting up. I have other Fujifilm X cameras that I love so I am excited to take this to the streets.
Gerald outside his office/studio ... .for quite a while. That's really rare ;) Great review of an interesting camera.
3:57 re: shutter, I'm glad, shutter was wiggly with a soft release on x-pro2
Electronic and Optical viewfinder, that's awesome!
A very nice straight to the point review!
Very informative and well made as usual
Thanks for a nice video. On your point at the end section on batteries: battery life is basically an issue for all devices and I just manage it by having three batteries that I cycle through and the batteries are not big so it’s manageable and not something I would hold against the camera. Also the mention of same batteries across the Fuji camera range will be great for reducing impact on the environment both on the battery front but also on camera components proliferation (think mobile phones and the number of different charger styles that were out there before the industry made the effort to standardise).
Great review. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into your content. I’d subscribe twice if I could.
When I hear people make comments about how fast a Camera can focus or frames per second. I think about Sport magazines that came out when I was a child that has some excellent action shots. They were shooting with manual focusing lens and three frames per second shutter speed.
Thank you for a reasonable review of the XPro3.
I really like your photos! I like the format of this video too; hybrid tech talk with great images & great video clips. If you ever you need more content to post, this format is will be great!
The XPro3 is a great camera, I hope to use it one day. Once again, you’ve come up with a unique way to review a camera! The Undone Army is never bored.
Thanks so much! Always appreciate your comments. Cheers!
Lovely and well done video! Enjoyed it a lot. Thanks.
Which colour to buy? Any recommendation? Thanks!
You are the first with x-pro3.... Wow. Thx
I like what Fuji has done here, hope it sells well.
Thumbs up for test the durability of the top plate :)
Great content, as usual.
Subscribed. Great review.
Your speech is very smooth and fluent. Very easy and enjoyable to listen to.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate that. 🤓🙏
Keep up the good work!
thanks for sharing!!
@gerald did you play with the HDR functionality or the tonal curves? can those be applied to video as well, for some SOOC video?
New segment...Gerald in the Wild.
Gerald in the real world?! I like it.
As someone who shoots with two AT-1's with a 24mm and a 50mm always mounted and prefocused at f/8-f/16, metering manually, this camera is perfect for bringing my workflow over to digital fulltime. My only complaint would be that Fuji doesn't appear to manufacture its modern lenses with focus scales. For someone that likes to set focus and forget it for composing quick street shots, this is pretty hard to reconcile. I'm hoping that the minimum/maximum focus setting can be utilized to achieve the same effect - but is that feature only available during video capture?
Some Epic B-Roll ™️ slow mo there.
Thank you for a very well put together video, even if it does leave me craving a camera that I can never afford!
great review, talking about what the camera is trying to do and focus on, but even bigger props that it has acceptable video features for a stills camera unlike other companies that took out 24p when they are used to be known for video. haha
This is a very nice and chill review. I wanted to be like "What are you doing with a purist photo camera G?", but I was wrong af. You just create great down-to-earth reviews.
Thanks a lot! 🤓🙏
2:43 re: linear focus, some said it was jumpy, impressions?
How do you classify Fujis recent cameras such as XT-3 and this new "niche"one. A good match and alternative for Canon 90D or even the EOS R, mainly for vídeo?
Hey boss does the video or movie mode offers focus peaking to use perhaps with some non native lenses?
Fuji rocks! Love their cameras! Great company too. thanks for this review--probably won't get it, since I have an X-H1.
Same here. But when the price comes down, then maybe in 2yrs or so may pick one up.
Your compositions are superb! I would love to see you taking photos more than you on the studio. Hehe!
7:26 agree on small batteries, they'll have to move bigger eventually. My guess is they will start with the xh-2, giving it the gfx battery
Batteries really not a problem when you use the battery grip. Then you have 3 batteries. Enough for a long day of shooting.
Did you shoot anything in low light? What did you think? and what's the Auto Focus like in low light? Does this Multi exposure work on Raw or Jpegs only?
G G G Gerald. Out out out outside. how rare
Seems like a great B camera option for a mainly stills shooter that sometimes does video and already has an X-T3?
Fuji does need to upgrade their battery. It is well overdue. I really like the form factor of this camera and will most likely buy it. But that battery is a real sore subject. Also, it would be nice for Fuji to start upgrading some of their higher end primes. Nice video!!!
You are awesome and so was this video 🤟🏻
Fuji is fantastic,) period.
#GeraldUndone
Another great video
Beautiful camera might or would be a defi first Fuji I would own , btw JPEGS are excellent on Fujis
Could you get undone taking jpg photos with all Fuji film simulation + one .ARW from the x-rite color checker and share them with us, mortals? It would be a nice practice to make Fuji colors for Sony. Thanks for these videos and keep up the good work!
2:02 is it true that there is only one magnification on the ovf now? Also hard disagree, a viewfinder that's lag-free, even in low light, and has moving frame lines is a godsend
X-T3 can fire 20fps (have not tries 30fps yet) with AF tracking, keep rate of about 50% on the moving subject. After they fix the obvious bugs, the AF system will be great. One of the most annoying continuous AF bugs is that when the focus is not acquired on half-press, it will not be acquired at all after you press the shutter button fully, unlike other manufactures' cameras (eg. canon). They can acquire focus on the second or third shot of the series.
Love your videos and i dont mean to be rude but the XPro series is a street camera hence i would have really liked if you had shot it in the city where the Film simulations really shine. Right now it all looks almost the same.
Its like driving a ferrari in the desert,it sure will drive in the sand but that doesnt mean it performs best.
But other than that great review though. Thank you for your making it.
Great video 👍
I like your attitude in reviewing gear, very objective and to the point. But know that this camera is not about "Vintage aesthetics". There are a lot of benefits in using a direct optical viewfinder!
nice video and that ISO dial affect was nice too.
one tip for Fuji x series users, that you MUST share: the HIGH ISO options ( 12,800; etc ) and the low (100, etc.) CAN'T be selected if shutter type has "Electronic" as the option selected ( or is in combination with Mechanical) , I have both an xt-1 AND an xt-10 model and this is common with BOTH, not sure if this issue is across all of Fuji's range of cameras , ie. the xt-20, x pro series of cameras, x h series or if it's limited to just this x series. Just letting everyone know as some of you get these cameras for their fast prime lenses like the 56 mm f 1.2 and others, which this issue may become a deal breaker for you, as this is NOT in any of the manuals, this "interlock" is something I have found out by trial and error, the shutter speeds ARE discussed as being limited in certain shutter modes, THIS ISO limitation is not added into any of the mode compatibility charts in the manuals!
Hi Andy,
Has this been resolved?
Hi, I think the earlier cameras like the XT1 might have been a bit more limited on this but with the X-Pro3 (and I just tested to make sure) the full native ISO range from 160-12,800 is available in the electronic shutter mode. What’s not available is the “extended” ISO that can be made to go down to 80 or up 512,000 with the mechanical shutter - I imagine there is a technical explanation for this, but in practice I don’t see it as a problem as you lose a fair bit of dynamic range below 160 and the image pretty much falls apart above 12,800 ISO, so these “extended” modes are mostly there just to look good on paper anyway.
Boom double video!!! I've always considered Fuji for photography for those film simulations. Can these features of the pro 3 be found in the xt-3 for both photography and video? That would help narrow down which one is best! Awesome vid Gerald thank you 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Many of the features can, yes. Right now the X-Pro3 does have a couple more simulations and features, but they might make their way to the X-T3 with firmware.
Out of all the embargo youtubers, I chose Geralds video first... A+
🙏🤓💜
Are the smudges are to clean? Seems like he build up is quick and heavy.
Well done! Another fantastic video from the master of detail himself! :D.
I am curious to see how many people are bothered by the screen layout haha. Personally I like what they have done and I agree with the points you have brought up, it does cause you to chimp less, in addition to making the camera more durable overall.
Thanks, Nicholas! Appreciate it. Cheers!
@@geraldundone You are welcome! Keep up the good work :D!
Wow it's a little weird seeing Gerald outside.
What?? How did you get one so quickly!? 😱
Million subs in 2020. We all see it. Love watching you earn it. It comin’ boi.
It is practical or usable for dog photography?
Any comments on your experience with using the flip out LCD in combination with a tripod plate? Does it get in the way?
It does if you mount the way you normally would. You have to put the plate more forward than usual. Works for Manfrottos. If you're using square-style plates, you will only be able to open the screen 3/4 of the way.
OMG! Focus limiter in-camera?! Finally!
Now, get on it, Panasonic! :)
sorry big G, but i own two fuji bodies (the very underrated for street fuji x-e1 and the do it all X-T3), the battery is fine. only ran out one day in all my days on fuji. popped in another battery.
Great to see you out of the cave.
2 videos un about an hour? TODAY IS NOT MY BIRTHDAY!!! xD
nice camera
Nice!!! Curious to get your thoughts…long story short, after falling in love with the form and function of the X100V, I’m seriously considering trading in my XT3 for an XPRO 3. I shoot portraits and headshots professionally. Do you think I’d be losing anything going from the XT3 to the XPRO 3?
Two uploads in a morning? Is this heaven?
4:18 do you think there was a technical reason to leave out 10 bit and 60p?
oh there's no HDMI ... nice
6:53 thoughts on iso dial? I wish they'd replace the pull mechanism with a focus-clutch-like mechanism, I think that would be easier
Double feature!
Everybody :- how may videos you can upload ?
Gerald Undone : yesss
Does the PD (Power Delivery) charging really make much of a difference? I've charged my Fuji via standard powerbanks and it seems to work ok!
The main difference is the ability to run it from USB. Without PD you don't increase your runtime much, but with PD, your batteries can last hours and hours longer if run plugged in.
Gerald Undone got it thanks👍
🔥🔥🔥
great video as usual mate :) whats the song at 2:51? I really love that tune.
okay, i found it, Günther Novak - Freind, but where did you get the instrumental of this song?
SLPSTRM - A Place Beyond Belief from Artlist.
@@geraldundone thank you very much :)
This won't sell so will be getting mine next year
Not a fan of film emulations. Love the X-Trans sensor. I can probably afford this one in 2035. My X-Pro1 will have to do until then.
I love your hair
Is it really that much better than the 2? The X-pro2 goes for less than half the price (almost 1/3) on the used market
How does this have dislikes? I will never understand RUclips. My assumption is that some people are just d/#&s. As always, well done Gerald.
Darren Kennedy i don’t even want this camera and i liked this video
People are jealous for the most. (Most likely when they are really bad at certain things, rarely they are positive when someone else is having success).
In short .... a footage with just this text "Well this XPro-3 is weird! X-T3 is still a far better buy" wouldn't score that much of dislikes.
This guy will have a few million subscribers, it's only a matter of time I'm telling you.
Emerald grass: 2:54
Camera did it on purpose?
Notification squad :)
Thanks for the video! Good looking camera, but yikes, $1,800 to $2,000??? (Also, did scratching your knife against the camera body damage the knife???)
6.23 focus face.
