How to Make a Typical Video Game Creepypasta 101:
1. Main character wants to find a game they're nostalgic about
2. Main character acquires said game from a shady seller, flea market, yard sale, or traumatized player of the game for a cheap price or for free
3. Game cart, disc, or casing is off in some way
4. Main character starts the game, and it starts out relatively normal, with only few minor differences in startup
5. Main game-play begins, and differences are much more noticable
6. The "scariness" begins.Dark backgrounds, screams, and death happen
7. HYPER-REALISTIC BLOOD OMG
8. Player is shocked, but can't bring themselves to stop playing
9. The game's weirdness becomes real
10. Main character / player dies
11. The end

Autistic Skeleton Also, wait before your friend gets out of the bathroom before you start playing Super Mario Sunshine, because Hitler could be a spoopy ghost in the game otherwise, sir/ma'am. And don't buy a version of the game from a yard sale if it doesn't have official Nintendo stickers or whatever goes on a cover of a Nintendo game. And make sure not to take drugs before playing Super Mario Sunshine too. You might end up hallucinating Hitler inside your game, and it won't make any damn sense. But, it'll be one hell of a funny story for Andrew to read. So, there's a positive for this at least. Until next time, take care.

So, another contrived, ill-written creepypasta that follows all of those generic beats. I swear, it might as well have its own template at this point:
A) Filled with a shit ton of spelling, prose and grammatical errors like it's the first draft of a 2nd graders fan-fiction.
B) A lot of useless fluff that adds nothing to the story except padding it out to make it a little longer, and a lot of half-thoughts that either lead nowhere or makes zero sense.
1) Writer wants to revisit game from his (not being sexist, the writers are always male when they allude their gender to the reader for some strange reason) childhood.
1a, optional) Writer wants to revisit game with friend(s) who also has memories of game.
2) Writer tries to find copy of coveted game in modern times, usually in places that obviously wouldn't sell it anymore, too no prevail.
3) Writer finds shady-as-fuck street vendor, merchant, random guy to buy coveted game from.
3a, optional) Price offered for game from shady guy is dirt cheap, and/or exactly what's in writer's pocket at that moment.
3b, optional) Game's case or boxart looks a little off from what was remembered.
4) Writer, with possible friend(s) if mentioned, turns on game with little to nothing wrong happening at first.
5) As writer plays or watches it being played, they notice details about the game are wrong or are left out: no company logo, starting screen is altered or left out, characters look depressed or psychotic, fewer save files, music playing at different tempo, foreboding presence, etc.
6) Writer continues playing despite starting to feel uneasy about the game, instead of doing the sensible thing and just shutting the damn thing off.
7) Creepy shit starts happening. Writer mentions dark skies or backgrounds, depressing and/or unnerving atmosphere, corpses lying about. Oh, and there's blood. Like a lot of blood. _Holy shit did a blood bank recently explode all over this game?_
7a, optional, but common) *THE BLOOD IS RENDERED BEYOND THE CAPABILITIES OF THE CONSOLE THIS GAME WAS MADE FOR. ALMOST LIKE IT WAS REALISTIC.*
8) Writer continues playing despite clearly playing a game that is demonically possessed in some capacity, WILL NOT shut it off sense he never expresses the inability to do so.
9) Game no longer resembles game from childhood, showing more and more "realistic" and gory imagery.
9a, optional) Game shows images of writer, his loved ones, or the supposed previous owners of this particular copy of the game. They're deformed, rotting or bloodied in the images.
10) Creepy game finally has that last bit of tryhard, edgy imagery of showing characters from the game, and possibly people from the real world, being gored up and mutilated.
10, optional) Here is the one part of the story where the writer shows competency in explaining what he "saw". Kinda disturbing that _here_ is where he put in extra effort.
11) Finally shuts off game, and either throws it out or tries to return it to the shady guy he bought it from. Now, one of several twists happen (sometimes more than one):
11a) The guy, and his place of business, is nowhere to be found. Just a vacant lot where he was.
11b) Game returns to writer through bullshit wizardry sometime after writer made sure the game was disposed of or destroyed.
11c) Game taints console and will only play game when console is turned on, refusing to turn back off.
11d) Writer suffers a psychotic breakdown and gets committed. Game turns out to be perfectly normal when someone else plays it.
11e) Writer finds that he's been consumed into the badly written hellscape of the creepy game when he tries to leave his house.
11f) "Welp, I'm never buying games from _THAT GUY_, again!" (Cue the sitcom outro!)
I think that these people are writing essentially the same dumbass creepypasta again and again now for the sole purpose of getting someone like Yuri here to read it on RUclips and to get dumped on the Trollpasta Wiki. They follow this formula in one variation or another now, with no originality or any concept of writing sensibilities like subtlety or tension. Hell, the HYPER REALISTIC BLOOD thing is a running gag for anyone who has perused the catalog of video game creepypastas. I'd like some original horribly-written shit, is what I'm trying to get at.
I agree, I mean even if it's absolute shit at least try to make it smell different.
You're also forgetting one thing. The author for some reason can presisly time how long something is going like "I walked down the bloody level for 13 seconds..."

One time I found a copy of Half-Life 3 in the grocery aisle of my local EB games.
funny thing; I actually found a game case labelled crudely as half life 3. not in the grocery aisle though, just on one of the shelves among the games. it was an otherwise completely blank case (I think it was PS4 because of the color. could've been PS3 idk), and inside was tony hawk pro skater 5... there's you a scary story.

+SHARD THE FOX went to a retro game store, some nba game disk was there with the word "POKAMON" crudely scrapped onto the disk. it cost $69. true story, sadly.
I guess the reason it hasn't come out is because the dev ran out of potato chips, so he had to run to the store to get more, and accidentally left the game behind.
It just keeps going and going and going. The ability to write so much and yet say so little is truly an art form.

I think my favorite thing about this story is that the author had nightmares about "Poor Princess Peach" as opposed to the actual pictures of dead women and children that he saw. They might be dead too, but they weren't princesses so it doesn't matter.

This is my favorite segment of yours that you do. I enjoy listening to the bad Creepypastas and laughing along with them as you read them. Some are better than others, but all are at least memorable in how bad they are.
This is the very first time where I LITERALLY cannot remember a single damned thing that happened in the story an HOUR after watching it. I remember... PS2 games, Sunshine, vomiting, and a dude's face on the screen. Also something about a statue's face. That's it. That's all I took away from this after a single hour away from the video.
There's great stories like Abandoned by Disney, Psychosis, and the Russian Sleep Experiment. On the other side of the spectrum, we have this.

I remember back in the good ol' days of 1944 when I first got my PS2. My TV didn't have color, but damn did those graphics look beautiful.
Also, if you want to record with a PS4, you got to go to system settings and disable HDCP, of course you have to turn it back on if you want to go to video streaming services.

I actually remember reading this at least more than a year ago. I wasn't scared, I was just very confused and frustrated. Why are there dead people? Why is there random cities? Why does the author "teleport" between these cities? Why was the Plaza normal? Why did the statue have a face? Why was Paul in there? Why was Peach on the verge of death? WHY WAS HITLER IN THIS STORY?

I like the way he was more worried about Peach rather than his bathroom friend paul who was scarred for life after seeing his own face melt also why did paul just sit there with vomit on him that stuff smells horrible he should have cleaned up. For the record, I did get a copy of Red Faction and Sled Storm from a record store not far from where I live. And I found Brave Fencer Musashi and another game called Nightshade (both for the PS2) in a pharmacy while out with my grandmother. I would have picked those up had I owned any cash any cash at the time.

Not sure if someone has said this yet or if you've tested this but when it comes to recording on the PS4 without their own recording, you need to go into Settings, then System, then uncheck the box for "Enable HDCP". You won't be able to record from the share button on the controller but you should be able to record with your capture device. Hope this helps.

Sadly, playing through the 3D All-Stars version of Sunshine, I didn't see that version. I just saw the normal version where he's trying to clean up Delfino Isle because Bowser Jr. framed him for the crimes. Sorry. Or maybe this version that Author-Kun and Paul wrote about only happens when you get every Shine Sprite? I'm not good enough at Sunshine to do that though. But I did like the game more than I thought I would, and definitely more than when i played it the first time many years ago on the GCN by way of the Wii. But I loved reading the guidebook that the game originally had. Too bad about the version of the game Author-Senpai (And Paul), played though, huh?
I haven't watched the video yet. But considering the amount of effort that was put into that title, I'm guessing an equal amount of effort was used to wright the story.
