- Finally reached 5k miles on the new Honda Accord Hybrid Base model. The real MPG is influenced by cold and warm weather. I have been seeing 38-40 MPG in cold weather and 46-48 MPG in warmer climate. Why is there such a big difference? Well one the heating system is run by your gas engine and not electric. This car has a 12.8 Gal fuel tank, so if you average 38 MPG in winter you get 486 mile range. And in summer if you average 46 MPG you get 588 Mile range.

Im surprised by your low gas mileage. I`ve rented accord hybrids and got mid to high 50 mpg. Are you driving the car a little to hard? I also have a 2019 civic ex and I constantly get low 50`s on the Highway. I don`t hypermil nor do I mash the gas pedal....

How is the transition from battery only to when the gas engine comes on? Also, is the engine loud when the battery is depleted or in general? Thanks.

What’s your range on one tank of gas?
This car has a 12.8 Gal fuel tank, so if you average 38 MPG in winter you get 486 miles range. And in summer if you average 46 MPG you get 588 miles range.
Once the weather stabilizes and stays warm, I believe I will get 600+ miles range and 48+ MPG.
@@RealHouseholdReviews I get over 42 with mine on the second set of tires. Don't do what I did and go to a different tire that is on it now. I went to a "high mileage" Continental and the mileage went down 3 mpg.
I have a trick to get 598 miles every time fill up. Love my hybrid on 20s. Message me I’ll tell you. I’m dead serious

@@SIIKAP1 hey bro unplug battery when u fill up it will automatically go to the highest mpg. I would get 598 miles right after fill up unplug battery let reset and you’ll be fine. Trust me bro
