  • Veryan is in Cornwall England UK on the Roseland Peninsular
The village has been described as one of Cornwall's loveliest inland villages and as ′a mild tropic garden′ by John Betjeman. It is probably best known for the round-houses, built by the vicar Jeremiah Trist in the early 19th century. (Source: Wikipedia)
But there is more than 2 round houses, check out the Church, Holy well, Thatched houses and quaint village shops.

Really pretty village, thanks. I'd not seen this one before. I know the Gulf Stream makes a huge difference in climate, but it is a shock to see a palm tree so far north!

Thank you. Yes we do have a few palm trees. I know of some locations that have a lot of them so i could do a video on those. Have a look at my Heligan Jungle video too. Thanks for the comment and watching.

We were here in May 2023 and in July 2008. My husband's ancestors are buried in that cemetery. His family connection is here from at least the early 1600s. Cheers from Canada.

They were built by the vicar 1815-1818 they were said to deter the devil from entering the village. But i guess i got in
