Sad reality that the boutiques were no longer operating. We all know that was selena's dream. If she's was alive today i know for sure that her clothing brand would be a succesfull one 😔😔
Yep! She'd be a Multi Billionaire with the boutiques, clothing line, perfumes, distribution center in Monterrey, beauty products, more acting in novelas and American tv/movies, philanthropy/activism, and OF COURSE, that HUGE music catalog. I'm sure real estate and overall land development would've been in the list too!! Her Freakish Talent and Skills were limitless💯
@@kelli3585202 my dad worked with Selena as her bodyguard for 2 yrs till she passed away. David Fernandez jr playing him in the series. He’s a truck driver but still from time to time talks with Selena’s dad. So I’ve met her quite a few times💜I’m currently working for a grocery store warehouse and my aunt Alice unfortunately passed away in 2010 from a stroke but was still cutting hair up until she passed away🕊️She never met Selena. She started working at the boutique in 1998. I miss her dearly
Wow gracias por enseñarnos solo mostraban la otra boutique se ve que estq es más grande que la otra y que nostalgia ver su nombre escrito aún en la ventana 🥺
I remember back in El Paso they're used to be it was like a little Selena boutique but it was called Selena's fashion shop's back during the nighties and then went out of business in 2003.
Well after Selena died, her husband Chris was the one running the boutique. I guess after a while it was difficult running 2 boutiques so he gave up the SA location first then eventually the corpus location
I made short videos of the 3 lost African American cemeteries in San Antonio that I put on my Instagram page. I someday plan to make an actual video explaining all 3 of the cemeteries. Here are the links instagram.com/p/CFIFiPfl1-q/? instagram.com/p/CGVa4e6lYh5/? instagram.com/p/CGxtt3cFxav/?

Growing up in Corpus, I remember seeing the location there but didn’t think too much of it as a kid. Now though, I realize just how important it was.
I was there last week... it’s was awesome wish they can reopen the shops...or someone can reopen it to keep it alive

The name in the marquee Alice is my aunt. I was also working there at the time. My first job 💜And the sa store closed in October 2001, not 1999
That’s interesting! What are you and your Aunt Alice up to since working there? Did you guys meet Selena?

Oh that's cool I didn't know that! Like a little pop up shop I'm assuming
Why would they close that down as well🥺❤️😭

The corpus christi location closed due to weak economy super sad wish it was still open 😢.

Not sure, haven't been there since the day I uploaded the video
Yes, I was there yesterday. It’s very much still there😊 I’m so glad no one has touched that.
