- This is the former building of the Selena Boutique that was shut down in 2009. It was a State Farm but according to the present condition of the building, its up for lease. You can still see the old emblem of the Selena Sign that once covered the building.
So weird to see something that was once alive and held by someone so beautiful.
Her energy left there.
@@donnaking7439 I disagree. I can feel her energy just by watching. She loooooved her boutique
They should never shut it down!!!
So sad bendito.
Till this day I still feel his death she was so beautiful and young and sweet and humble that old f lady took her life and she still has a lot to acomplish sorry I know is wrong but I hate that woman she destroy her dream took his life and destroyed her family and all his fans that love her to death
we did a petition to get a mac Selena cosmetics line and it happened, we should do a petition to get the store back and running !!!
OMG YES
Let's do it!
HOW DO WE START IT
+Melissa oh Yea but how can it be done.. It would be a serious amount of investment... ANd not to mention all the original things are probably either stored or gone
we should just show up at the selena museum where selenas dad spends time and just talk with him about it
It's so sad that when she was alive this place was her dream come true. She was extremely happy to have this boutique. Now that she's gone its sad to see that this place will no longer exist and be as if nothing happened :( Thank you for recording!
What’s more sad is that the boutique is what brought YS closer into her Cirlce 😩😭🤬 she had also scored her dream to do her English cross over album. Painfully watching the Selena series second season And uhg - if only she had waited a bit, enjoyed being newly married to chris - interviewed more people to assist her instead of just allowing a psychopath to have such a prominent role in her business. If only... if only... So sad and mad. They protected her so much in all other regards... 🤯 wish she was still here
Oh if those walls could talk inside that building they would have some stories to tell.
Ana Johnson yes! Beautifully said ❤️✨
Want to meet Selena's father or sister while you're in Corpus ? Abraham goes to the Hi Ho Mexican restaurant ( on Morgan Road ) every afternoon , and Suzette works at The Selena Museum on Leopard Street . Go to either of those places , and chances are pretty good you'll meet them . Like Selena , they're very humble and down-to-earth , and love to meet the fans .
selfan4evr seriously??! I was there a couple months ago I really wish I would've known that :(
Yeah, next time you go, make sure you go to those places! Can't wait to get back myself!
Her family is stuck up and cocky . I saw her dad At the museum and asked for a pic he said NO and walked off. He was soooo rude I can imagine Suzette the same. Freakin moochers leeches of selena Name
Yeah right I doubt every afternoon....
@@tbac6308 yes I went to her boutique last year and her father was there. I have to agree with you, he was very rude. He did however take pictures with us but you can feel the attitude. Smh.
Somebody should buy the place, ask for permission to use her name, and open it up as a gift shop or something related in her honor. That would be pretty awesome.
gennieox X that would be super cool but you know how her father is. He would never allow something cool like that and it’s a shame. He’s greedy.
The father wouldn't allow it unfortunately.
gennieox X Her family is greedy....not gonna happen
The family greedy they say no lol
I am really starting not to like her family.
Thanks for posting 🙏😭 it's so sad just watching this property and to know that she once frequented this one of her passions which brought joy to her. Now's a void sad and lonely. RIP Queen 👑🙏❤️
I wish I could back
20 years just to see her there.
+✨Celenite384✨ me too.
✨Celenite384✨ WRONG. You should want to be there NOW because you shouldn't accept that she's gone to begin with. SMH.
Braulio M. Montelongo then you've got it backasswards too smh
Tarlan Kasra hey? How about you shut the fuck up
I wish I had been more talkative in this video when I filmed it, sorry I was just in awe by the place since I had never been there before up until that day.
Joe Matthew Barley its all good
Braulio Matthew Montelongo this is in corpus Christy?
Braulio Montelongo thanks for sharing. Wish she was still here to come out wave 🤔siempre selena ⚘
Hey you did a great job thankyou but it is depressing to me to see her dreams died with her cause she wasnt able to come up with newer designs .I wish someone out there knew what and how she liked her clothing to be like today.I am sure she would of loved the new styles of today RIP SELENA FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS TIMELESS
Braulio Montelongo it's ok sweetie, thanks and I / or we all enjoyed it, and you did very well, because if it we're me, I probably may have faith, Because I missed Selena Quintanilla so much and imagine me standing at her actual boutique and saloon in person, I will be WOW 💞💞💖💖💖💖but yes I love and enjoy the video please upload more ... thanks...
That Selena boutique is a MONUMENT SITE. I imagine that being there, where Selena, a public figure and now a legend, actually frequented very often must be a touching experience. It is sad to see that it is now for sale and think that it is possibly going to be demolished.
It was a touching and very moving experience.
+Braulio Montelongo o
And all because of that WITCH Yolanda!!!!!!😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😭😭😭😭😭😭
Mini Vegana She would be likely killed if she went to the Philippines... Selena has fans here too...
Mini Vegana yeah Yolanda my uncle wants to free her but I say NO!!!!!😡😡😡😤😤😤
Nell Ortega Well, if that happens, Yolanda will get killed by Selena's fans!!!😤😤😤😤😤
I bet if selenas husband was there she would never got shot bitch ads Yolanda pull the trigger when Selena back was turn. R.I.p. Selena i love u. And to her husband I feel u man. Keep praying my bro.
😡😡😡
I went there a year-and-a-half after her death. I met Suzette there. It was a small salon and boutique.
She didn't approve of the boutique when Sel was alive though. She didn't even go to the Grande opening. But suddenly after she dies she is right on it like white on rice. 💰 is the root of all evil.
@@kkiss4715 really ?! I didn’t know that ! Idk but suzzette rubs me the wrong way and now that I think of it she isn’t in any of the pics or videos during that boutique opening
@@LadyClever6117 yeah, her entire family (except her mom because she loved it) disapproved of her boutiques
It's now a real estate company. I was so upset when I saw this becuase I had wanted to see that ghostly Selena sign on the wall. But they replaced it, as well as replacing the door with a green one. It was as if Selena was being taken apart. I visited there about three weeks ago. I just feel this is still her place. She literally built the building, she never rented or used an old/unused one. But oh well. We all have to move on. So, jealous you got to film and see this.
+veggieeater Now I'm grateful I actually decided to do it that day.
GODSON RICHARD MCCOMBS Her Dad was never interested in this part of her career. He actually tried talking SELENA out of it in the first place bc he was concerned it would be too much for her with all the performances she had taken on with the band. Btw, Chris was in charge of the boutiques but during the divorce from his second marriage he closed the boutiques down. Very sad. All SELENA's dreams ended up in smoke after her tragic death. But the family and her fans has kept her memory and legacy alive. They have the Museum and the MacSelena along with a few other things. I guess we must be thankful for that. Rip angel💝
GODSON RICHARD MCCOMBS You are so WELCOLM
They shouldn't tear it down . They should re-open it as on official Selena merchandise store , or something of that nature . Whatever they do with it , it should remain associated with her somehow . Tear it down , just to put up another 7-11 or something ? I don't THINK so!
selfan4evr I agree. The building should always be used in her memory.
Pudentame I hear its an insurance building or something now.
@@saiyongdawn7756 Belongs to a company called Prime Real Estate now.
@@tsntana Oh. Thank you.
When the boutique closed, her family opened the museum. It serves the same purpose.
Wow! This is the first time I see the building since the 90's when I was last there. It is still unfathomable. I miss here.
Wow you were there?? I would've loved to see Selena's boutique and gone to see everything that was hers!!!

Yo hubiera puesto un museo en memoria de Selena ahí. Que triste es ver esto . :(
It truly is sad that it shut down but that building will always be remembered as Selena's boutique & salon.
They really should have kept it open. That salon and boutique was one of her many dreams. Even though, Yolanda did the grand opening with her and that may be the reason why they didn't want it open, they should have considered her fans who may have wanted to visit the site. It would have been nice to keep her Salon and boutique legacy alive forever. I also heard it wasn't doing good in the area that it was ok which is very hard to believe, and even so I'm sure they have money to cover the costs forever. This is sad overall though, it took away a big memory of her. If anyone wants to know the address of this location it is 4962 Everhart Rd Corpus Christi, Texas
It's a real estate company now 😑
The boutique was losing money which is why Chris sold it for $120,000 or so.
Wow this would of been nice if the family used this as the museum
WTF I didn't know they shut it down! That pisses me off.
On know this shit making me mad
Aww man! I didn't know they closed it! I went there in 2003. Took pics and everything. They also gave us a map that showed all the Selena sites. That was during Selena day that they do every year.
Yeah it's unfortunate. I wish it was still open too.
so many hopes...so many dreams...
just remember, the woman running this store was also the same monster that murdered her.
Hip48Xn3 I guess if she couldn't have it no one could at least enjoy it.
Exactly... that store brought them closer together. I wish she completed her English cross over album before the boutique. 😭 Selena forever
@@CorazonLightLife you must have watched that show about her on the "E" channel this morning. I did!!! I thought of this video when they showed it this morning.
@@Hip48Xn3 E! True Hollywood story??
This is sad, how i wish the family or chris didnt close the boutiques but we all know managing a business is hard especially if you dont have the passion. If only selena was still alive i know for sure her clothing brand would be a success and well known today. 😢
What can I do to have this boutique open again? It should be opened again! Please; seriously. It's a bargain for you Quintanilla Family. Selena will live for ever!!! We beg for this boutique.
Janny Granados it’s too late it is now an insurance company
To think that is where SELENA stood on the steps and with the woman who killed her. That's probably why they are not keeping it up. But it was Selena's dream. "The impossible is possible" and it could be reopened as a souvenir shop. Copies could be made of her original items to sell to the public who are and remain interested. I never knew that Selena had registered for college. She really wanted to be a role model for kids to stay in school. She had enrolled in college. That woman really took all of her life.
Barbara Mowrey She was truly a positive role model. If she had lived can you imagine all the difference she would of made in more adults and children's life. She was a good humbled Person.
+Barbara Mowrey Its pretty crazy to think about.
Braulio Matthew Montelongo Braulio is that in Corpus or in San Antonio
where at? when did she enroll?

Thanks for showing. Its so sad and tragic that Selena wasn't allowed to complete her dreams. However I do think had she lived she probably would have eventually moved on to other ventues or at least expanded the business as she reached superstardom. I would've loved to have seen Selena evolve.
Rip
Yolanda sabotaged and destroyed Selena's dreams and endeavors ....I still til this day can't believe that evil woman took this woman's life 😓😓😓😓😓SMH.. Keep resting Sel
SWEET SELENA HAS LEFT THE BUILDING. LITERALLY. RIP LA REINA. 💝😘🎈

Thanks so much for taking the time to make and share this wonderful vid of Selena's former place of business. She loved her little store so very much! It was the just the beginning of many business ventures in her famous life to come and to know this would be here very first and very last. It's also so sad and kind of eerie to still see where the Selena sign use to be. Wonder what happened to it. Probably her family has it. Hope so. I would guess it's in the Museum with all of her other personal items and memorabilia. Again a BIG THANKS for making this and for sharing it with all of her true fans such as myself! Means so much. Would be nice if whoever bought this little building and has the financial means would open it as a second memorial museum as a tribute to her since she loved this place so much. Don't understand why someone in her family didn't leave it the way it was as another small museum? Anyway, it was very nice and interesting to see the way it looks today from all views. R.I.P. Selena ~ God Bless the Quintanilla family today and always ~
no problem. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It should be ReOpened as a selena fan club boutique. .buy all the selena tshirta and posters and accessories...it is a landmark!!
Lets petition for it to be open again; -)
I would support that!!
I would support that!!
Too late
Thanks for taking the time to show us, we just watched the movie!!!!
If I had the money I would keep that dream alive for as long as I’m alive.
I just came from a video from the inauguration of Selena's boutique, and seeing now this video ,it make me feel nostalgic 😔
estriste que tus suenos como esta tienda se aya acabado pero nunca se acabara el amor que nosotros tus fans te tenemos nunca te olvidaremos selena
I was 10 when I went in there and it was open. This was like back in 2001. I remember they had her amor prohibition perfume
Max Martinez. Do they still have that perfume?? In the book Chris wrote. "To Selena with Love" it say that the perfume samples were given to Yolanda. And that Selena never revived those perfume samples
I bet it smelled great... like fragrant blooming wild 💐 flowers
This store lasted for 15 years, which isn't a bad record really and made some good money in it's time. The same can't be said of the San Antonio location and the proposed Monterrey store, sad to think about, Selena had so many unfulfilled plans. But this was the O.G. store so it has more nostalgia attached to it. Other than being associated with Selena, this store was also a relic of the 90's. I wonder what kind of clothing was sold there by 2009, was it updated for the times or were the same designs of the early 90's still sold there?
Awe I was just thinking if her boutique still existed. This makes me sad :( it would have been nice for them to keep it open so people can go visit. I was only 5 when she passed away, I wish she was still here so I could meet her....
Loved it , thanks for sharing can’t wait to see it for myself 🌹🌹❤️
I'm surprised that her dad doesn't purchase the building and allow a second museum to be installed there for merchandise and memorabilia. Selena's dad should be more involved in continuing her LEGACY. I think he hurt's so bad and feels blame for her death. The fan club was necessary for her career,,but hiring a total stranger like Yolanda Salidivar ,,to have access to $$$,bank account's and tax document's. Would be like me hiring my lawn and gardener men to handle my taxes. and bank transfer's.. OMG..
Honestlyyy, Sel had no business meddling with tax affairs and going to see Yolanda alone. Sure, her family might have warned her but I think some things are just fate- regardless. Wasn’t what’s his name umm Howard stern that idiot was laughing at the fact that Selena couldn’t have been a Mexican Madonna/not that big of an act etc. if she really had to go sort out her tax affairs herself, saying something like the real Madonna would have workers dealing with that.
Oh, how sad ... Selena was so proud of this store, so happy to spend her time here. I think a fashion career and hair/makeup were every bit as important to her as her music career .. she loved this place! I think Suzette took over the boutique-salons after Selena was so cruelly murdered ... I wonder what happened ?? This was Selena's dream!!
Suzette didn't support the boutique in life but she sure did in death 💰
@@kkiss4715
Thanks for your comment! True. Her family wanted her to concentrate on her music, not fashion. And Yes, Suzette is so proud of her sister, she loves her very much still and is one of her greatest champions. And she is very beautiful, very talented, and is a lovely lady in her own right. I still pray for all of the Quintanilla family, including Chris. How incredibly difficult their particular loss must be to bear!
"God Bless each one, and hold them up when their days are dark..Amen".
The very saddest thing that happened when selena died is unfortunately a lot of her dreams died with her.It means that her clothes went out of style cause she is not here to design more it is so deeply devastatingly sad to even live this reality .Tell me i am wrong be fukin nice too
Thanks for sharing, and it sadly to see how life's changes so fast
So,sad to see...I can just imagine her walking uo those stairs with a beautiful smile enjoying the day and her success
It's very sad it's like once selena died everything else died with her. I'm not saying that in a bad way because of course it's plenty of things to keep her memory alive. It just kind of make a person feel sad. Love you selena💕💖🙏😢
So sad to see this video I was hoping that the Selena Boutique can be open for a longer time but well. We love Selena 4 ever 🙏💗🌸🌹❤
Selenas legacy is gone, but her spirit will live on at my local 93.1 fm radio station.
they shouldn't shut it down! This is unacceptable that they shut it down. This was her own property and to me I think she would have kept it! Who cares about real estate VIVA SELENA!
So sad, she had so many dreams and made so many people happy.
I've been to this one and the one in San Antonio whose exterior was used in the movie.

I was actually there when it was still open. It was the year after Selena passed away. It was nice but very small inside.
What did it look like? Can you describe it?
@@tsntana there are videos of it.

Thanks for sharing I went to corpus in June did all Selena stuff except for museum Bc of covid but I forgot to go there. Oh well I guess next time. And I saw a video clip where she was walking in and she parked her Porsche out front lol
It be nice if it could open up as a selena boutique of hers again and her mac make up line is sold there as well as t shirts and etc....

que buena toma para los q no podemos viajar para conocer los lugares donde abito selena
Nothings forever. Everything changes .
I wish it was still open but they have a selena museum
Not the same.
Selena's widow had to close it due to financial reasons. He remarried a few years later after her death and divorced her. He had to split his assets just to pay his soon to be ex for alimony. This isn't the only boutique she had.
Isn't funny how quickly he got remarried how he didn't go with her the second time to see Yolanda I blame him for everything that happened to her he could have been there and wasn't it just sounds like he was really in it for the money he needed her for the fame the money he prob would have gotten to go nowhere in the music industry if it wasn't for her he prob would have gotten caught up in drugs and shit so everybody feels sorry for him that his pop star wife died if you ask me I think he might have had something to do with it it just seems a little off to me I don't believe him for a second if he was truly in love with her people don't get over that like he did it last forever oh but he was quick to get remarried to another singer people should really look into that more looks can be deceiving like just look in all his pictures with Selena how happy does he look compared to her she looks extremely happy him on the other hand not so much like he should just saying
Chris signed over his rights from Selena's Estate over to her dad so that Vanessa (Chris' 2nd wife) would not be able to benefit from it.
It's a shame he had to close it and I bet his second wife was trying to cash in on it. He was smart to do that because she probably would have tried cashing in on that. His second wife sounded like a gold digger.
He most likely remarried quickly as a coping mechanism, maybe as a distraction. And Chris was a very private, quiet, and reserved person. Everybody has said that around him, including Selena. So, if he seems weird in certain photos, that's probably why. Also, people have their own way of responding to photos. Sometimes when I think I'm really smiling, I look back and see that the smile wasn't strong enough.
I will say that selena's death is very questionable. I mean yes, Yolanda pulled the trigger, but something still seems off.

Yo estuve ahí en 2008 y seguía abierto!
I wonder if it's sold. One day I want to own it. Maybe even continue to make it the Selena boutique and have all the profit go towards charities. She would love that.
