  • This is the former building of the Selena Boutique that was shut down in 2009. It was a State Farm but according to the present condition of the building, its up for lease. You can still see the old emblem of the Selena Sign that once covered the building.

      What’s more sad is that the boutique is what brought YS closer into her Cirlce 😩😭🤬 she had also scored her dream to do her English cross over album. Painfully watching the Selena series second season And uhg - if only she had waited a bit, enjoyed being newly married to chris - interviewed more people to assist her instead of just allowing a psychopath to have such a prominent role in her business. If only... if only... So sad and mad. They protected her so much in all other regards... 🤯 wish she was still here

Abraham goes to the Hi Ho Mexican restaurant ( on Morgan Road ) every afternoon , and Suzette works at The Selena Museum on Leopard Street . But they replaced it, as well as replacing the door with a green one. It was as if Selena was being taken apart. I visited there about three weeks ago. I just feel this is still her place. She literally built the building, she never rented or used an old/unused one. But oh well. We all have to move on. So, jealous you got to film and see this.

      GODSON RICHARD MCCOMBS Her Dad was never interested in this part of her career. He actually tried talking SELENA out of it in the first place bc he was concerned it would be too much for her with all the performances she had taken on with the band. Btw, Chris was in charge of the boutiques but during the divorce from his second marriage he closed the boutiques down. Very sad. All SELENA's dreams ended up in smoke after her tragic death. But the family and her fans has kept her memory and legacy alive. They have the Museum and the MacSelena along with a few other things. I guess we must be thankful for that. Rip angel💝

    They really should have kept it open. That salon and boutique was one of her many dreams. Even though, Yolanda did the grand opening with her and that may be the reason why they didn't want it open, they should have considered her fans who may have wanted to visit the site. It would have been nice to keep her Salon and boutique legacy alive forever. I also heard it wasn't doing good in the area that it was ok which is very hard to believe, and even so I'm sure they have money to cover the costs forever. To think that is where SELENA stood on the steps and with the woman who killed her. That's probably why they are not keeping it up. But it was Selena's dream. "The impossible is possible" and it could be reopened as a souvenir shop. Copies could be made of her original items to sell to the public who are and remain interested. Thanks so much for taking the time to make and share this wonderful vid of Selena's former place of business. She loved her little store so very much! It was the just the beginning of many business ventures in her famous life to come and to know this would be here very first and very last. It's also so sad and kind of eerie to still see where the Selena sign use to be. Wonder what happened to it. Probably her family has it. Hope so. I would guess it's in the Museum with all of her other personal items and memorabilia. Again a BIG THANKS for making this and for sharing it with all of her true fans such as myself! Means so much. Would be nice if whoever bought this little building and has the financial means would open it as a second memorial museum as a tribute to her since she loved this place so much. Don't understand why someone in her family didn't leave it the way it was as another small museum? Anyway, it was very nice and interesting to see the way it looks today from all views. R.I.P. This store lasted for 15 years, which isn't a bad record really and made some good money in it's time. The same can't be said of the San Antonio location and the proposed Monterrey store, sad to think about, Selena had so many unfulfilled plans. But this was the O.G. store so it has more nostalgia attached to it. Other than being associated with Selena, this store was also a relic of the 90's. I wonder what kind of clothing was sold there by 2009, was it updated for the times or were the same designs of the early 90's still sold there?

      Thanks for your comment! True. Her family wanted her to concentrate on her music, not fashion. And Yes, Suzette is so proud of her sister, she loves her very much still and is one of her greatest champions. And she is very beautiful, very talented, and is a lovely lady in her own right. I still pray for all of the Quintanilla family, including Chris. How incredibly difficult their particular loss must be to bear!

    Selena's widow had to close it due to financial reasons. He remarried a few years later after her death and divorced her. He had to split his assets just to pay his soon to be ex for alimony. This isn't the only boutique she had.

    • @oksanakozar8264

      Isn't funny how quickly he got remarried how he didn't go with her the second time to see Yolanda I blame him for everything that happened to her he could have been there and wasn't it just sounds like he was really in it for the money he needed her for the fame the money he prob would have gotten to go nowhere in the music industry if it wasn't for her he prob would have gotten caught up in drugs and shit so everybody feels sorry for him that his pop star wife died if you ask me I think he might have had something to do with it it just seems a little off to me I don't believe him for a second if he was truly in love with her people don't get over that like he did it last forever oh but he was quick to get remarried to another singer people should really look into that more looks can be deceiving like just look in all his pictures with Selena how happy does he look compared to her she looks extremely happy him on the other hand not so much like he should just saying

    • @Deathtofrogleghorn
      @Deathtofrogleghorn 7 лет назад +11

      It's a shame he had to close it and I bet his second wife was trying to cash in on it. He was smart to do that because she probably would have tried cashing in on that. His second wife sounded like a gold digger.

    • @veggieeater
      @veggieeater 7 лет назад +4

      He most likely remarried quickly as a coping mechanism, maybe as a distraction. And Chris was a very private, quiet, and reserved person. Everybody has said that around him, including Selena. So, if he seems weird in certain photos, that's probably why. Also, people have their own way of responding to photos. Sometimes when I think I'm really smiling, I look back and see that the smile wasn't strong enough.
      I will say that selena's death is very questionable. I mean yes, Yolanda pulled the trigger, but something still seems off.
