Really enjoy your channel and the way you describe in detail each vehicle, and I'm not even looking for a new ride. Your sense of humor hits the nail on the head every time.
The green/black exterior and brown/orange ish interior is such a beautiful combination! The piano black is a tad excessive, but the awesome captains chairs make up for it
I enjoy that you do reviews of the “every man” cars, trucks, SUVs. And all different trim levels. But you did a review of this same Sorento last month. Same color, inside and out. Same engine. Etc. déjà vu.
They almost designed an amazing refresh of the Sorento. Add memory seat buttons, better exhaust pipe, tuck in that front camera on the grill, and wireless Apple car play...would be hard to choose Telluride over the Sorento then.
We actually own this very vehicle. Color, trim, and all. We bought it about 3 weeks ago. This was the best all-around, 3 row SUV for the money. Comparable SUV's were north of $50k, YIKES! Overall you hit the nail on the head. There is plenty of space, horsepower, and technology. We were just hit with a massive snowstorm and we were able to drive the streets with relative ease with the snow mode and differential lock. I agree with you on the "no memory seat"#comeonKIa, but overall it fits what we needed for our family.
I test drove one of these recently. Ended up wanting something a bit larger, but if you want something that drives small, looks sharp and up-to-date, handles well, gives good option packages foe the money, and offers a third row for emergencies, you probably can’t do much better than this. My wife would’ve loved it.
Hey Joe Happy V Day to u & the wifey... thanks so much for the videos daily.. ur a funny cool dude, u bring a different style to these videos.. thanks 4 the caption too lol
I agree...Kia's, and Hyundai's deserve more recognition! I had two Kia SUV's in the past...a 2006 Sorento, and a 2012 Sportage. Both were awesome vehicles....never had any problems with either! I love the paddle shifters on this XLine. I really doubt anyone is going to offroad with this SUV. Very leery of Turbo's. Think they might be great for 30, 40, 50k, but don't think they will last in the long run. Nice review.
The hybrid comes with a 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Plus, in Europe, we get a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel with an 8-speed DCT.
I wish it has a bench seat so I can utilize the cargo space. For that reason, I might go with a Santa Fe but the Sorento's exterior is really handsome.
Joe, I always appreciate your thoroughness, attention to detail, and off the cuff sense of humor. I hope you'll consider also reviewing the plug in version of the Sorento when it comes out as I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on ride, power, and handling vs this one. Thanks again!
I have a 2020 Kia telluride SX that I absolutely love. The best vehicle I ever owned! I test drove everything up to 100k and I liked the Telluride the most. I wonder why Kia did not add memory seats and auto dimming mirrors to the Sorrento....
If you have money and going full options/last trim then Sorento. But if every thousand is on record, then Sante Fe with SEL trim plus convinience and premium packages gives you literally everything (leather, premium audio etc) for only 35k $

Have a question. Watch your videos often. Especially the Mustang. I was scrolling thru my local Ford dealer and noticed looking at the Window Sticker on the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 5.0. Question is why is there a gas guzzle tax. It has the same 5.0 engine. Don't recall seeing it on the Bullet Mustang?
Joe, looks warm. Obviously not In Minneapolis, Minnesota? Great review always. As a 3-time Kia owner, I’m still baffled by their equipment packaging. The “stuff” you mentioned as missing, can be found in the top end Santa Fe (minus the 3rd. Row of course). If you can, ask a Kia representative why no memory seats in a $44K automobile? Same goes for the auto dimming mirror which is generally a $350.00 option on some Kia models. And the excuse of Telluride is not acceptable as the Sorento x line crosses into Telluride SX pricing. I like the Sorento but can’t get passed that no memory seat thing. Btw. nice plug for Pizza Hut. Next time I’m at a Kia dealer, I’ll go order 2 personal pans and a water from the Hut and try the pocket experiment! Cheers
Hey Ivan! Thanks for sharing some of that input from your ownership experience. You are so very right about what is mission. I like the way that you think.
Always subjective, but I prefer the Santa Fe. Looked at both recently and just preferred the overall Santa Fe package. Just not digging the interior styling of the Sorrento, too much gloss black and the air vents look and feel cheap. Forcing customers to the captains chairs in higher trim levels is a big zonk for me, especially as the 3rd row is really for kids only. Still Sorrento is massively improved for this generation.
