- Patriotic Alliance leader and Central Karoo District mayor Gayton McKenzie have indicated that he has the ambition to become the number one resident of Johannesburg. McKenzie says he'll contest for the Johannesburg Mayoral position. This comes after ActionSA announced that says it has submitted motions of no confidence against the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Thapelo Amad, and City Speaker Colleen Makhubele. McKenzie says the PA would support ActionSA's motion of no confidence in the City of Johannesburg leadership. Gayton McKenzie joins us in the studio to discuss his ambition to become the mayor of Johannesburg.

I am a legal foreigner, I like his energy and his zeal to get things done in this country. Truth be told, something must be done about the drugs, the hijacked buildings, the city's infrastructure is crumbling while we watch.

The big difference between Gayton Mckenzie and a lot of the other politicians is that he walks the talk. He does what he says he will do and he is a straight talker. He does not beat around the bush. Here’s a man I would vote for. A man who loves his country and is a passionate hard worker. Unlike those thieves in the ANC.
But we as South Africans do walk around with our ID's especially if you have the ID card. it stays in our wallets and purses. What is wrong if we ask foreign nationals to walk around with passports. We are in a crises as a country. If any foreigner is legally here I don't see why they should have a problem walking around with it. I spent time in the UK a few years ago. In fact I was there for two years and I used to carry my passport around with me and I was ok with that. We really need to stop being more concerned about the feelings of an illegal or undocumented person than the issues surrounding the effects of that illegal or undocumented person on our society. Especially if there are criminal elements involved such as selling drugs, kidnapping, murder etc etc.

I noticed that. I think she's trying to live up to a reputation. She had easy pickings with Thapelo. Who vetted Mpho and the Mayor after her? Or the new mayor of Tshwane. Right or wrong, these things simply do not happen. We just had an alleged delinquent mayor removed when he had been serving in some other capacity for some while. She knows some of the things she suggests lie with Home Affairs but wants them from a Mayor. Municipalities don't even deal with a provincial road, let alone such a matter.

I was In Europe, and was stopped in a train to ask for my identity. This means you are expected to move around with a form of identification.
