I'll usually get four of these calls on the same day every couple months. Every time they say they know I'm at my computer, even when I'm driving in my car or at the gym. The scammer gets so confused when each question they ask is answered with "ah-yeah."

Amen to this. McAfee had a horrible memory leak in my old system, they wanted to R/C my PC. Said nah, installed Bitdefender. Still good to this day. Also, found out John McAfee is nutty as hell.
Then you just had a bad experience because in terms of protection Norton, Kaspersky and BitDefender are in the top. And in terms of usability BitDefender actually wins from both Norton and Kasperky.
