THIS VLOG METHOD IS AMAZING. My channel was dead in the water since 2022. 38 subs. I started using the 3T’s in June 2024. Right after the Think podcast ep with Benji. 1271 subs and growing in October. 45k views. Less than 30 vlogs in. Multiple videos with over 1k views. One with 11k views. Closed one new client and growing my community and my email list too - with really happy thankful ppl. … all on a channel about small business marketing and habits, of all things! So so thankful that you had this interview with Benji - AND that you’re replaying it so more people can get going! LESGOOOOOOOO 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Many female black vloggers already do this and I'm sure other women been doing this as well. They record a bit of each day of the week and make it one vlog. It could just be 3 or 4 days out of their week. They always mix sponsorship with their vlog. It's always long form videos. They post once a week and in-between they post focused content to break it up . So I think long time vloggers already were trying new styles that's not too stressful and more focus. The viewers loving the person's personality helps so the creator don't always have to do too much, just show up. I think females love to talk so they been doing this. Females have always learn from each other. This must be new to men.
What this guy is doing is "selling shovels during a gold rush" which is what made Carnegie so rich. You sell the items that SUPPORT what's hot right now. In his case, he's making videos that touch high ranking videos. He doesn't have to make THE high ranking video, just a video that connects or relates to it. Genius strategy.
“Women turn the camera to themselves, men turn it outward.” Can’t remember who said that, though it’s evident it works. I have two channels and the style has ALWAYS worked. Thanks for the info!
He’s right because I just started my channel three months ago and I already surpassed the 100 subscriber threshold. I talk about mindset shifts, how I learned them and how you can integrate it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together. I've been on the fence about vlogging because I thought I'd need high production. You've inspired me and the '100 questions' strategy is a game-changer. 😊
Yes. There is so much solitude that we become friends and give a sense of comfort. Real people and personalities is a big competition to avatars and auto ai voices
This is extremely helpful because I've been wanting to vlog for so long, but the thought of having a perfect vlog where I wake up have tea, workout, do a morning routine, etc... was really overwhelming and made me shy away from even trying. But sticking to one topic seems so doable and I'm finally motivated!
Ohhh I love the 30 videos in 30 days! I posted my first today (which was sooooo awkward) and I have my second scheduled for tomorrow. I currently have 238 subs and 54 cumulative watch hours over the last 365 days so I'm going to put this formula to the test!!
It's interesting how vlogging has evolved thorough out the years. I remember when RUclipsrs would just use go pros/point and shoot cameras to then full out studio quality vlogs. To now casual and sitting down with a friend vibe kind of vlogs.
Content is the king, distribution is the Queen. There is no more magic. There is only few TV Series where is not boring on the last seasons. Everything can get some prime moment and soon or later will be gone. Its just not possible to get attention from the people all the time bcs there is too many content around on every platform. You can learn from the best content creators but you also need to be always with fresh ideas on the market.

Wow. Just thank you for this. The longer I thought about a RUclips channel the more time went on and I thought it was too late. I don’t think that anymore!
Idk. I personally like the OGs like Jessie and Jen’s daily vlogs better. They just showed their day. Nothing crazy, a couple pranks or working out, wawa runs, dinner vibes, playing with their cats. I understand a lot of the old OGs burnt out but it wasn’t after just a couple months of vlogging and for most of them vlogging wasn’t the only thing they did that lead to burnt out. Full day vlog of whatever they were doing that day was so chill, relatable and to be honest sometimes quite motivating cause it wasn’t 1-2 days or even 1-2 years, they were steadfast and consistent for so long. I’ve been seeing these “focused topic/theme” vlogs and the videos haven’t really hit like the ways the OG creators vlogs did. If I wanted that, I would just look up a specialized video like a “How To” on the subject, not a vlog. At the same time, I get it. It’s easier to edit and upload a 1 theme vlog that day rather than trying to create a story line from a full day of filming. Idk, It just doesn’t hit the same as the mid 2010s so I’m constantly looking for the old school style of vlogs.
This was legitimately one of the most valuable video I have seen on this platform in a long time. Incredibly timely as I gear up to finally start my channel in 2025. Thank you both! More, please! - Your newest sub.
Funny the difference between men and women using grammar. Correct grammar when talking about ourselves and another person is to say the other person's name first, like here when your guest says, "me and my wife," it is correct to say "my wife and I." I notice this all over social media, when men talk they literally ALWAYS say, "me and _____," regardless of who they are talking about, while women 9 times out of 10 observe the proper grammar of saying the other person first, then themselves. I think that says a lot about the psychology differences between men and women. Just an observation. Also its very refreshing to see these changes happening in online culture. As a new content creator struggling with clarity of how I'm serving on YT as well as with the technical aspects, this "authenticity approach" is a refreshing relief.
Thanks guys! In the beginning I was afraid it would be 'a friend help promo thing', but Benji, REALLY good stuff man! It actually fits my style as well, actually PERFECT! Thanks a lot. I am just setting up my NEW RUclips channel, in English. Great stuff. Sean, thanks for being my man. you helped me again. A lot. Greetings from Dutchland.
Great information I am restarting my channel again. Many friends have been asking me to make videos about how I transitioned from a traditional home to living in an RV with my dogs and traveling full time in the US, Canada and Mexico while still working.
As a new RUclipsr doing all sorts of research, i am glad i came across your video. I abandoned it around 10 mins mark to go warch your costco vidoes 😂. Now i am back again to learn some more.
This video was so insightful! The shift towards more focused, topic-driven vlogs really makes sense for better engagement and discoverability. I'm definitely going to try implementing the Three T's framework in my next video. Thanks for the detailed breakdown!
Yeah.. It's just "Quality" The only secret is Quality Content. People's denial or ignorance to accept this obvious thing is what these creator channels live on.
@@cherrytv3 it’s not even quality.. it’s nothing at all. Content that performs well is either brain rot(randomness) or you’re catering to people in whatever way. That’s it. Or do like these bigger yt dudes, create a fake problem, then sell the solution.

I think the technology has a big part in it. Back when Casey was vlogging the tech wasn't like it is now. The new cameras and better mics onboard, smaller mics etc.. It's crazy I still have my $400 Rode mic just sitting here not being used. But the crazy thing is the point of the Rode mic ontop of the camera was so that you sounded great without having anything in your hands. Now everyone wants to carry the mics in their hands which is silly i think but to each his own. The iphone since 2015 has really came a long ways. It's up there with Full Frame DSLR's. Alot has happened. I think tik tok sadly has influenced alot of the content. It will change again. Im sure of it. Just have to keep at it.
So good! Actually gives me confidence about vlogging. I never vlogged before because the question I always asked my self...who the heck cares about my life? But you just outlined and synthesized a much better approach that really fits me and my style.
So true; I’ve cancelled most streaming apps that only want to push their agenda. I continue to watch RUclips more and more. Personally if I want to know something that’s happening I’ll watch both sides of a story oppose to just 1. Plus, my car content that I enjoy helps in shutting off the noise and letting my brain rest.
I never understood why people think someone likes to watch themselves brushing their teeth or taking a shower, unless they are handsome or beautiful. Even many videos without showing their face.
I'm doing exactly this with my new PC build video. I think PC builders have been doing this for a while. Going to Microcenter, picking out the parts, putting the PC together while talking to their audience. Focused vlogging has been a thing for a while with that genre.
Love This Thank You. Yes I'm excited for this type of vlogging coming back 🙌🏼 And there's something about the way Benji explains things that's very understandable, encouraging and informative. Thanks guys! 🙏🏼
Call me crazy but, "Theme, Topic/Takeaway, and Tell a Story" feel like this is just a rewording of the basics writers and filmmakers have been using forever. Character, theme, storytelling, and a strong plot are all solid foundations, but nothing we haven’t seen before (or shouldn't already be applying). I mean it's new to someone :)
Just starting on RUclips and ordered you RUclips secrets book. This is such great info. My question is, because I have a number of different interests I want to share on RUclips, should each Theme be a separate channel?
Vlogging is even better if you take use of some amazing third party tools and services (I am mainly speaking about using a little bit of Famester to make your content go viral as soon as possible).
I'm so glad to hear this because I am not a video editor, and I can't hire one. Tried doing AI videos, but people hated them so I have shied from making videos. This actually motivates me to make videos again.
@@LTMusic92 I think it can be less stressful when it comes to filming for different holidays/seasons. I used to struggle really bad with coming up with video ideas and now I dont have that problem nearly as much.
Thank the lord!!! I am a year behind where I want to be BC I could never get recording just right (and I'm a photographer so bad videography was painful lol) so I just made a cute collage on the wall and made it my morning coffee blog on the phone lol
wow I have to comment. Thank you. I feel like this video was very well explained and it was just sooooo easy to digest and left off with such a hopeful feeling. Thank you again.
I find it interesting and hilarious that this video perfectly follows the 3 Ts Benji was talking about
I love this! I followed his wife's channel back in the day!!
So good! Actually gives me confidence about vlogging. I never vlogged before because the question I always asked my self...who the heck cares about my life? But you just outlined and synthesized a much better approach that really fits me and my style.
Never to late! 🎉
the 3 T’s are amazing I have to change the style now haha
My theme is me!
I just started, wish me luck!!
So be personable and organized. Got it.
0:18 … yeah, because people know you now, it’s not because of your vlogging style
The tiktokification of the vlogasphere is a thing though…
Is Vertical filming or horizontal filming better for RUclips?
Great concepts! Great ideas! 😎😎
I don't know what magic you did with this video, but it was probably suggested to me 10 times before i clicked it. Good stuff.
Definitely gonna test it out I’ll be back ❤
I never understood why people think someone likes to watch themselves brushing their teeth or taking a shower, unless they are handsome or beautiful. Even many videos without showing their face.
Great information really helped alot thank the both of you keep it up 👍
This video inspired me to get back into vlogging. Thank you, guys! 🙏
I mean it's new to someone :)
perfect timing just starting a vlogging channel
OMG I USED TO WATCH ITSJUDYTIME! I loved her!
Just starting on RUclips and ordered you RUclips secrets book. This is such great info. My question is, because I have a number of different interests I want to share on RUclips, should each Theme be a separate channel?
I saw this video in the original episode and it is insane how the new cut gives a way better overview of the content
Nice topic 🎉
I just started 2 days ago, I achieved 5 subscriber. 4 family members out of 5. I hope, I will be successful. Wish me luck, guys.
This is so true , Now even i am thinking to shift focus towards it
Vlogging is even better if you take use of some amazing third party tools and services (I am mainly speaking about using a little bit of Famester to make your content go viral as soon as possible).
I'm so glad to hear this because I am not a video editor, and I can't hire one. Tried doing AI videos, but people hated them so I have shied from making videos. This actually motivates me to make videos again.
Benji this is an incredible analysis
This is gold! I do this with my hello kitty hunting videos. I feel like its more simple and focused like he said.
do you find that its less stressful in terms of coming up with video ideas/topics?
@@LTMusic92 I think it can be less stressful when it comes to filming for different holidays/seasons. I used to struggle really bad with coming up with video ideas and now I dont have that problem nearly as much.
Thank the lord!!! I am a year behind where I want to be BC I could never get recording just right (and I'm a photographer so bad videography was painful lol) so I just made a cute collage on the wall and made it my morning coffee blog on the phone lol
This video provides so much value it's ridiculous!
*I'm glad you made this video,* it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, $89k biweekly and a good daughter full of love..
Please how ?
It's Maria Angelina Alexander doing she's changed my life. A BROKER- like her is what you need.
$356K monthly is something you should feel differently about....
Lovely! I enjoyed it like I enjoy a $100k monthly around the turn!!!
wow I have to comment. Thank you. I feel like this video was very well explained and it was just sooooo easy to digest and left off with such a hopeful feeling. Thank you again. I really started to believe that I started too late. ( Someone who wanted to be a creator before creator was a term in 2008) But I am using these tools to give it my all, consistently. And now I feel like success is totally obtainable. I truly thank you guys again.
Good to know! Thank you!!
Very good video. Very informative. Let's see what happens.
I just started vlogging, 2025 bring back vlogging. 🎉
Thank you so much 😊
