I'm so glad this new mom, her boyfriend and newborn baby girl were not injured. What a horrible and scary situation to be in, especially after giving birth. My prayers and condolences to the families of the victims.

idk i think we should do other things to prevent shootings before we have to put metal detectors in front of every building. I'm not knowledgeable on this but i feel like there's other things that can be done that will have a more direct impact on shootings in america vs just metal detectors. it seems like it would be inefficient and probably wouldn't change things in the long run.

@@jogirl836 I know right. Exactly the killer coud have harmed her especially if her man and child's father wasn't there. It has been reported that this perp alledgely pistol whip his baby's mother before killed the victims. Just tragic.
Thank God he didn't act afool in that room he mistakenly went into at first. This is just so crazy. So sorry for the lose of nurses & that poor girl & baby going through that & all families. If u have any what so ever criminal charges u should not be allowed on school or hospital grounds unless it is a true emergancy.
What a talented officer. Calm, responsive, quick, empathetic, doesn't shoot to kill when it's not necessary, doesn't over do it and shoot recklessly in public. I would feel so much safer if more officers were this well-trained and professional
Exactly. And to think other videos have comments saying he was a coward as he hid while nurses died. Nurse Flowers wasn’t even in the room when she was shot. She was hit in the hallway as the gunman open fired at the cop. The cop only shot once and it hit the gunman in the leg, not an innocent person.

Hospitals, unfortunately because of how sick and twisted people have become, need to close access to patients and health care providers. There has to be security checkpoints where you have to be listed as a visitor and have your ID checked. Too many outsiders are allowed to roam around in there. These extra precautions might cost health care providers a bit more but when you charge $500 per bandaid you can afford it. My boyfriend had something similar happen while he was hospitalized even though I made it quite clear to staff I had already unplugged the phone in the room because he was being harassed. He father had died the day before he was admitted and family they rarely saw wanted to jump in on the action to see what they could get. He told me his cousin was dangerous. So I warned staff and told them NO VISITORS and told them why. An hour later the cousin just bops into the room like he owns the place and starts making threats and demands. It was scary.

I thank God he didn't have a freak out and she shoot the family because he could've thought she was his girlfriend and had another man in the room. He could've flipped thinking she cheated and had a baby by another man. Thank God he had some sense and left the room. I pray God sends the families of the ones who lost their lives strength and comfort. 🙏

Exactly what I was thinking. He already thought his child’s mother was cheating, so he easily could’ve gone off when he saw this patient and another man in the room. This is just so sad.

Wow this is so scary. When I heard the women scream no please and then the gun shot. Made me cry. It's so sad when you actually hear something like this happen in real life. You don't think this stuff really happens and then it happens to you God I can't imagine. Rip to flowers and the other lady and condolences to the family and friends who family and friends who passed away. I'm so happy that the guy didn't do anything to the mom and the her family.

Where i had my daughter you need to check in the security and see if your name is on a guest list that you are expecting and then they buzz you in they definitely need to put that in all hospitals specially where newborns/kids are.

Sad these days how it’s always “the baby’s father” or “the baby’s mother” instead of “the husband” or “the wife.” Kids having kids out of wedlock has become the norm. Society really has degraded.

I hope the dead victims sue the hospital for failure to secure the building. I just went to memorial Hermann in downtown Houston and before you walk in they had 2 police officers and metal detector. I felt safe. And while i was in the hospital room the police were making their rounds.
The hospital where I work recently added 24/7 security because of all the shootings...

Hospitals need more security a few months ago my cousin gave birth and when I went to visit the door was locked but I just asked a doctor for directions and she opened the door for me and I easily could’ve been someone wanting to kidnap a baby and no metal detectors or anything
