I hate when people inconvenience others and make clowns of themselves for an audience and laughs. Before you purchase a ticket, even if it's for seating you cannot select, a disclaimer will ask if you agree to assist in an emergency, so she knew what she was doing. Just stop!

Nothing to do with the airlines. People need to just sit down and do what they are told, instead of making a scene. One of the requirements for sitting in an emergency exit seat is to help other people in case of emergency.
40 something years of flying not 1 time have I been removed from a plane.

The lady was honest with them so she needed to be an adult and follow the rules that come with sitting on that row. If she couldn’t comply, then she needed to move. Plan and simple. But these people cannot seem to follow rules of society. They think society should bend over to please them!
Knowing full well that the likelihood of an emergency situation was minuscule, she should have just agreed and been simply grateful for the extra leg room. Common sense is sorely lacking these days.

My daughter for some reason didnt get an award presented to her in the award ceremony, but still had an award, we called and it turned out to be a simple mistake. Actin like that never even crossed my mind. It would've ruined my daughters life for the next nine years. Kids remember that ish.

Every person who sits in those rows know they have to be physically able to open those doors and get out. They are not expected to then stand there and assist ‘Betty White’ step over the threshold. “Buh-bye… thanks for flying Frontier…Have a nice day.. buh-bye!”
Lady, if you don’t want that responsibility for being IN that row in any shape, matter or form, don’t take that seat. So simple.

Thats sad that these peoples advice to the woman was to lie and say shed help her fellow man as opposed to switching seats. Thats really dusturbing. Humanity and selflessness is definitely lacking with certain people...

I saw a similar situation a few years ago. They ask you at time of check in to please listen carefully to the flight attendant if you’re sitting next to the emergency doors. We agreed. As the flight attendant was about to begin, a women who actually looks just like this lady, said out loud “ no im not.” And she kept looking at her phone. It was awkward. Flight attendant kept going. I never understood why she was so angry. We were all in this small death box in the sky together. How selfish can you be that you didn’t understand that?
We are lacking self awareness big time. And it’s starting to show and affect society at an alarming rate.

It's standard to be offered another seat if a passenger doesn't want to move. I've watched the entire footage available. She had two ladies sat next to her initially and it looks like they moved to other seats

Spirit is way worst. Frontier goes direct with no layover. I've never had an issue with Frontier. They go to Florida in two hours. Other airlines theres layovers and they take you out the way and bring you back. I am afraid to fly, get me there now!

This is the crowd you get on budget airlines, so I stay away from those.
The airline is crazy to think I am going to help in a crisis situation with No Training and No Pay...just because I sat next to a door. And she doesn't even look capable of helping. Why not hire someone to help people off and that be their seat. Let something happen, I having my own damn heartattack how I'm gone help someone else!!!
Or you could just not sit in that row. It’s not just this airline it’s a FAA LAW for ALL airlines. Nobody is forcing you to sit there but if you do you have to agree to the rules if not you have to move or get off the plane.
All she had to say was yes and they wouldve been on their way. If a crisis situation arises, you can cross that bridge when you get there, IF you get there.

She said 7 times we understand that we have to assist others. The flight crew should have taken the first 7 yes’. The lady was wrong and so was the flight crew.
This started before the phones started recording. She obviously didnt give a simple yes when she was first asked otherwise this wouldnt have turned into a scene.
