Interesting video, but I feel like we're looking at the problem from the wrong perspective. VRChat seems, at first glance, like a platform offering a unique social experience. But objectively, it often ends up becoming a trap. Instead of developing social skills, making meaningful connections, or finding exciting activities, many just get stuck in an endless cycle of interactions with others who are equally tired of the real world. Over time, the game stops being a fun place to hang out and turns into a habit that's hard to break. It’s like chewing gum-you keep at it until it turns into a bitter, flavorless mess. By then, it feels too late to quit. You're already deeply invested, and it just seems easier to keep going. My question for those who play: what are you truly gaining from this game? Does it help you in any way? Does it give you opportunities, or is it just a way to kill time? For those considering joining, maybe take a moment to think: what are you expecting to get out of it, and will you be able to step away if you need to?
As a small streamer myself and beginner content creator I can agree to all the points when I first learned about VRChat is was through RUclips and sins then I've gotten so far as to get FBT already. I really love this game and how much social interaction it brings. Although the age verification on VRChat needs to be pushed I've seen some really bad things and pushing it to media without a safe space for the younger player base to explore and do so safely imagen lil timmy finding out he can play in desky mode and being able to see EVERYTHING. BTW love your content 2Pish been following you for a while on TikTok >.
1st Love the video. 2nd. For me a desktop users, I found out that VRC had a desktop mode from a old friend. They would talk about how much fun VRC is, and that I should play and get to meet 'new ppl' ( no luck). But ya, when talking to them(friend) I said that, "I didn't have a VR headset". That's when they told me that I can just play on desktop mode. since them I bin on VRC 1 or 2 time a month (sadly, wish I had more free time) for the past 4 years I think... not a 100% sure. But I'm ranting. I didn't think that this was a issue, per most ppl that I met in VRC would switch to desktop mode right after there quest/headset, would die / need re-charge. I don't know if I miss the point, but if you read all of this thank you and have a great time in VRC.

This is a beautiful comment, thank you for posting
VRChat on steam controller is so unironically fun because you have toggle gestures onto the extra buttons
Wow
Honestly, didn't know that was even an issue. I'm surprised that it isn't more apparent on steam, that you can play without a headset.
