Gotta love the boss concept of Ball, a ball with a face is peak character design, just take a look at the rock from Rock of Ages or at the Meatball man from Lil Runmo (even if little Runmo doesn't actually have a real version other than a fangame based on the animation) I will be telling several of my friends about lil guys because they lil and they guys, and that's fantastic

Letting enemies defeat the king to give yourself bonus loot seems a bit unintuitive. Maybe there could be a dedicated item you craft that increases the bosses power, that way the stake are raised in a way that easier to undesirable, and you have to beat the boss or you’ll need to craft the item again

Snek! I do hope the lil sneaky boi will also try and snatch the crown if it happens to be on the ground nearby, like any other resource. A rare occurrence since the king would have to be killed, but also the enemy who killed the king since they’d otherwise just pick it up themselves. So in a cosmic shuffle you end up with snek king becoming secret boss.

Uranium: a rare resource from the first or second boss that can be used to make an irradiator: an object that gives a small damage boost to your little guys, heals them slowly (only while the king is alive) and slightly debuffs nearby enemies!
I feel like the stolen crown mechanic can be manipulated by purposely giving away the crown then farming the crowned enemies, so I think there should also be consequences when your crowned lil guy dies Maybe giving him like a scaling mechanic that gives bonuses to your resources or other lil guys like more hp, the longer the king lives (give him like a beard that gets comically longer as times passes by LMAO) but when he dies the bonuses those bonuses gets lost too
I thought about a new lil guy and a new monster, the lil guy is a guy that holds a sheild, can't do damage but is great for distracting, the monster is a gumdrop that grabs onto a lil guy and kills it. You don't have to do this but I thought it was a cool idea.
Add an enemie that can rarely drop big guy pieces so you can build a big guy, after you build him the machine used to do so breaks Also make him super muscular
i dont like the crown idea unless it has a cooldown, you buff an enemy for extra rewards but if it’s stolen in succession there should be some penalty otherwise minmaxing enemy resources would be a pain
