I'm only new to this channel, but I live your content, you don't cut awesome clips and show them set to cool music, you just take clips that show what you're trying to teach us, often in normal planes and not prem ones. Your content is great and I love the videos you make trying to help give better tactics and skills to players, helping bring back some skill to the game, not just missile spam
A good and easy rule to remember for fighting multiple opponents, DO NOT POINT YOUR NOSE UP FOR ANY EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME IF YOU ARE BELOW THEM. Energy is life insurance and you need as much as possible when fighting multiple planes.

Yeah he was dropping throttle to make him overshoot quicker I think. Which does work but should only be used if you are in similar energy states. You don't need to drop throttle when they are already way faster than you, you should be keeping as much speed as possible.
I thought I wouldn't like this type of content, but you explaining mistakes that many can relate to is awesome for learning.
can't tell you how much I improved after assigning manual flaps + pitch up and pitch down keybindings. I highly suggest everybody who wants to improve do this and not to waste 2 years 1,000 hours.

Oh great stuff man! I am impressed by the amount of details you share on the ki-43 match, and wanted to say so. Can't believe you haven't done this sooner! Well quite possible I had missed it but I think I remember you asking if we wanted to see it.
I kind of hate playing in turner kinds of planes like this. Would rather be zooming. I am guessing he could have been conserving his energy there too. That turning so that you make it hard for enemies to get their guns on you is fun though, a true art. I think when you are newer, you think you need to outrun or outdive in order to miss, but that 109 pilot already showed he was pretty smart about it, so you can bleed that speed out of him while still climbing albeit slightly, and they will not increase their angle too much to get a gun solution or risk everything.
Adam 514 shows some brilliance when it came to that. That and the cumulative effort in maneuvering away from the enemy when you dodge will get them away from the center of the map. A lot easier to handle alone, and while he might not have lasted that long, especially with that poor shooting as he would have had to RTB at least twice, his alt and distance from the center are critical toward giving yourself a chance. People tend to get careless when the game seems won so it isn't too far fetched to expect miracles. Albeit where they cut down match time, I guess it makes it harder.
Prolly one of the reasons why he stopped playing along with airfield camping.

Can you make an extensive guide to BnZ against nimble aircrafts? Like say a P-51 diving on an A6M5.

i want to suggest that Defyn does a stat card review and quick climbing walk-through to explain more about the aircraft he flies in his videos, would be good 'tutorial' style content and I'm sure i would learn a lot

As someone who spends about 5-10 mins climbing to a good alt and speed and as soon as I try anything I get instant pilot 1 shotted by a smurf level 100 bf109 while I have less than 10 hours on planes, this totally helped
one thing most people don't understand is the concept of "disengage". in that last fight the P-39 had several chances to disengage and use its speed to reset the fight or seek backup but he chose to stick to a losing fight.

Advice for the first guy, turn off Latency Flash Indicator, it is in graphics options menu. It's the reason that there is a white box appearing on the left side of the screen whenever you pull down the trigger and it is very annoying. The game is about positioning and target picking, you shouldn't need very good latency in the first place but there you go.

I don't understand the weird throttle dropping a lot of people do. I get it in some reversal situations, but it's almost always better for me at least, to be weping. This coming from someone who is mediocre at air rb. Not a noob, not a pro.
I think ki-44 chinese is the best plane to learn, it does everything very well and does not have any downsides

The 1C Is dogshit except for the guns. The 4 Is likes the 4b but Better in high alt IIRC, I think defyn mentions it in a video.
Just as important as knowing when to use flaps, it's also as important to know when using flaps is a terrible idea. Trying to energy trap with flaps on the entire time? You're just wasting energy, or at least not gaining the most potential speed as you can.

@ToreDL87 IL-2, Star Citizen, Squadrons mostly. Still fly WT Sim occasionally. Don't really care about rewards in WT, I've never played the game as a grind to "win", I just play with my toys and when I unlock new ones, play with those.
Haven't got into DCS, though my nephew keeps trying to convince me.

-About the camera, that is in player view, I was using a mix of mouse and keyboard controls and I guess I didn't bother to keep the guy on camera when I was fighting him.
-I just assumed the P-39 could beat the 109 since people talk about how good it is, at least at energy stuff, and it's been a while since I flew that plane
-I kept accidentally staying high because I wanted to low-speed energy fight him because I thought that's what the P-39 was good at, also I didn't want to sacrifice all my altitude for just one kill and thought I could get him and move on (but clearly that didn't happen)
-I didn't expect the 109 to get the last shot on me because it was desynced that badly in-game as well
Also, if I had dived down, would you recommend trying to run away/extend or trying to dogfight him at the more optimal altitude
Also looking back at my video, that first merge where I let the 109 straight on my 6 angers me. I think I may have won it if I didn't do that.

Man idk last patch or 2 patches ago I fought and won against two f14s in my su17m2 and it was glorious. Didn't expect to win it but I fought hard and luck was on my side.

Hi Defyn….I am absolutely rubbish at this game, and part of the reason is that I have no idea how to keep an eye on the enemy AND still control my aircraft. I was playing on XBox but moved to PC. You keep saying to keep your eye on the enemy, but how???
You can control the plane with the keyboard and look at him with the mouse basically
@@Kwaark thanks. But there’s obviously some settings I need to change. My mouse currently points the plane as well as the keys controlling the axes…If I hold the pilot view key, (can’t remember which it is at the moment, as I’m away from my computer), I can look, using the mouse, but control of the aircraft is relinquished and it reverts to straight & level

@@ChoirFan1 Usually free camera is the C key, and it doesn't take away from keyboard control.
@@r.u.s.e3586 thanks. But as mentioned, in my previous comment, when I hold the C key I get full freedom of view with the mouse, but have no aircraft movement control with the assigned movement keys. It appears there’s a setting I’ve changed or haven’t changed that has removed that ability….I’ll just have to start changing settings til something works.

P63 or a p39 I’m confused
p63's have a larger airframe and upgraded engine but are largely the same as the p39's aside from being generally faster
They also have much better high altitude performance because of their turbocharger letting them run higher manifold pressure

flank the entire lobby or just go in and try to kill everything you see before enemy arrives in packs , that thing is a very bad fighter because of its countermeasures, but it can rate fight 90% of delta wings , these might not be 100% correct tho i didnt bring that one in air rb that much.
