Hi! Thank you for this, it has been useful with the boot loop my old Lenovo ThinkPad is in. I have some questions before this step, should I save all my docs into a drive? And, can I do that even if I can't get the computer to start?
Yes, you should back up your data before performing a Factory Reset if you dont want to loose data. However, if you cant get your computer to start, then you wont be able to. If there is data on your Drive that you wish to save, you would have to bring it to a computer shop and have them try to save the data from the drive first.

Is there something physically wrong with the key / keys or are they mechanically working fine? Also, did anything happen before the issue? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
Here's a good question... If you have a Lenovo Laptop (Carbon) that appears to be Cloud managed, can you still use the 2nd method for factory reset? Thank you 🤓

Urgently need your help please. I have watched many of your videos but no luck. When i restart my computer it goes through the initial load up and then goes a light black. I have done the F12 system reset but even that the PC does not allow. Running out of options and wondering what it could be. Thanks in advanced
How is this method of reset different from doing a factory reset through BIOS? Also would this method resets the system to a clean version of Windows (removing Lenovo drivers and pre-installed apps), or restore the laptop to its original out-of-box state, including Lenovo drivers and software? I got my new ThinkPad several days ago, and I made some mistakes in setting up the new software, instead of trying to figure out how to thoroughly uninstall them and cleaning up the registry, a factory reset seems easier in giving me a clean slate to start over. But I wonder if it is a wise decision in my situation as my system technically has nothing wrong, also I wonder if the drivers and pre-loaded software would be gone after the reset.
My lenovo was charging normally as in being able to unplug it and run on battery, now as soon as I unplug the lead the laptop turns off? Any video for this?
Thanks for tutorials: I have reinstalled Windows 10 from usb drive as instructed. Lenovo Yoga 910 laptop is now operable and software loaded, HOWEVER, the shutdown to restart blue screen occurred again but normal operation was restored with auto restart. Is this signalling a hardware issue? SSD replacement? RAM issue? How do I isolate problem further? I am worried that the instability will persist.
Could be an issue with the hard drive. Some Lenovo computers have built in diagnostic software like Dell or HP but most do not :( In that case, you would have to just replace the hard drive and see if that helps
you were right about the "back door" being obsolete, took me 20 tries spamming the same button. everytime i tried the laptop would be too fast and already showed me the login screen

@@PC_Monkey Thank you for your response. I did the Install Media free. I dowloaded it on to a new USB..had to dowload it from a desktop. Unable to install in my Lenovo laptop.. since When I insert into USB port it will not do anything. Blue screen remains there I am unable to do anything other than get my information, security, boot etc. What might I do now? Thank you!
Thanks for the guide, I figured it out in the end. Do you know how long I should wait on the screen that says “getting things ready” before I give up on it
Could take a long time. Some older computers could take an hour ish
Mine has been loading for an hour now 😭
What do I do?
My laptop keyboard stopped working and only 4 keys are working. Someone recommended I resent. Do you think it will work?
Is there something physically wrong with the key / keys or are they mechanically working fine? Also, did anything happen before the issue? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
Here's a good question... If you have a Lenovo Laptop (Carbon) that appears to be Cloud managed, can you still use the 2nd method for factory reset? Thank you 🤓
Yes, you can def try. If not, you can try a new install as seen here; ruclips.net/video/dxmJOYXkhPU/видео.html
Will the factory reset only delete contents from the main hard drives, or will it will it wipe data from all internally connected hard drives?
Just got a new sub here👋🏽
Thanks !! Glad this video was helpful :):)
And by the way I appreciate you for everything you do and keep doing it we're not annoying but you don't seem like you're yelling at us lol Good job bro

Hi how can I change windows 10 to 7 at lenovo y540 thanks for your help
I dont have any videos on installing Windows 7. Sry
Urgently need your help please. I have watched many of your videos but no luck. When i restart my computer it goes through the initial load up and then goes a light black. I have done the F12 system reset but even that the PC does not allow. Running out of options and wondering what it could be. Thanks in advanced
Have you tried the steps seen here? ruclips.net/video/2-WDntT-5L8/видео.html
When I follow the F9/F10/F11 boot instructions I don’t have the option to Reset the PC. I also don’t have the choice to continue. What should I do? ☹️
I’m having the same problem, have you managed to find a solution as I’m stuck on what to do next. Thanks
@@imrebekah I haven’t yet. I have a geek squad appt next week I’ll let you know 😑

It would not be out-of-box. Many of the apps from the retailor will be gone. It would revert to the factory state
@PC_Monkey Good to know. Thank you!
Do you press remove all or remove personal files?
Can I do the hard reset and not lose all my data? Because I have a lot of apps and data I don’t want to be deleted
Omg tysm I've not tried but I'll be back to see of ot works
Is your computer fully working now, before the reset attempt? Why are you wanting to reset it?
Thank you very much my
You helped me to fix a very annoying issue

My lenovo was charging normally as in being able to unplug it and run on battery, now as soon as I unplug the lead the laptop turns off? Any video for this?
Sounds like you may need to replace the battery

@@PC_Monkey many thanks

you were right about the "back door" being obsolete, took me 20 tries spamming the same button. everytime i tried the laptop would be too fast and already showed me the login screen

Thank you Jamin. I'm running into the issue of Bitlocker recovery key, how to do I get around this? It's a old company Lenovo ThinkPad that is locked by the company's IT admin and I want to use it for personal use, wipe it clean and I already have Windows 10 on a usb flash drive (from your video). When I hit Skip This Drive, it's just putting me in a loop and not allowing ne to Remove Everything. If you have a video for this or have already commented on this issue, please let me know where to find it. Thanks
what time does the 2nd way show up? i don’t see a time stamp
Sorry, forgot to add it lol. It starts at 2:36
Apparently there is a "Novo" button on Lenovo's that turn to computer on to that function key screen. A little button with an upsidedown arrow
Yes, many Lenovo models have that button. Not all though.
Trying to download my kid's leapfrog program on my laptop but won't let me cause I don't know the main profile laptop user password. So this helped me out a lot by factory resetting.
Glad your all set :) Always here if needed !!
Please let me know will it cleans up everything like format C and D drives both or only format C drive if I select option remove everything...please add this point in video...
