heartwarming: A Dad's Journey With Autism | Sirui Nightwalker 24 + 35 Lens Film
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 окт 2024
- Sirui sent me their Nightwalker S35 APSC T/1.2 lenses for review for my Sony FX30 (a6700). I decided not to do a typical review but to shoot and edit a film by literally documenting a day where I was trying to do a video using the Sirui Nightwalker 24 and 35 mm lenses.
This film talks about the lenses, but the main story of the film is about my experience being an undiagnosed Autistic who is also a father of an Autistic son.
This film is not sponsored. I was sent the lenses by Sirui to test out and review only.

Award Winning!!! This was very well done. Thank you for sharing your story and blessing us with this beautiful cinematography.
Thanks for watching!
My God. This is incredible, possibly the best RUclips video I have ever seen. This really moved me.
Thank you, Mark. I figured, first once I'll try to put just a little bit of time into a RUclips video. I'm glad you got something from it. And thanks for sharing it 🙏
This has inspired me to film all of the footage of street-walkers taking massive dumps much more cinematically.
For real though - this was awesome.
🤣🤣🤣
Thanks
Found you through your shorts which are hilarious.
This review was the most captivating bit of camera gear content I’ve seen this year.
Thank you
Thanks for watching and for the support, bro!
Even though this film had an overall serious tone and thought provoking dialogue, I loved how you threaded your sense of humour in. The subtle "Let me show you!" as one of many voices in your head had me chuckling. Great project!
Lol thanks! There are a lot of other easter eggs in my voices
@@nVuFilms I swear I heard a Ronaldo Siuuu! 😅
@@Koala.Lumpur 🤔
Was one of my favorites too
Something within me “clicked” when I watched this video. Idk what it is, but I’m walking away different after watching this video. I promise I’m not trying to be dramatic but, my words are true lol. This was beautiful sir. Thanks for sharing your story and giving us beautiful visuals to accompany it.
Thanks bro 🙏 it's crazy what we can do with sub $2000 cameras these days . I'm glad you got something out of this film.
So good man! Crazy hearing peoples experiences. My son was the same way and now is considered "high functioning" but you nailed how he thinks and feels. He struggles with socializing big time. Anyhow, I really enjoyed your sense of humor and storytelling. The voices in the head part is ON POINT. The end HAHA! great work and hang in there!
👍🤙🤝
Hey bro loving the adhd line. Can we get some more of this? This is episode two as far as I can see.
This shit is dope.
My wife is a child psychologist. She says that I am a child, and that our daughter gets all of her attention problems from me.
it’s glad to see you out there battling through your demons. Iam in the fight as we speak.
Iam starting my own RUclips channel bro. Next time I comment in here it’ll be from a guy named Fredrick. Or maybe man in the glass or something like that.
Keep making more of this… it’s small shit like this that really helps me get through.
Awesome man. I'm glad you found some positivity out of my content
I did man, it inspired me to make my own youtube channel. so here it goes!! maybe i can be award winning one day!! I just want to document my journey of being beginner videographer. got about 5 videos iam gonna upload this weekend, would be the dopest if you were my first subscriber. I love your shit man. please keep it going.@@nVuFilms
Damn this is like on another level. It really moved me and from the look of it, others as well. I’m just a kid from the Bronx; born in the 80s and raised in the 90s with a fucked up childhood. With an incident that even made the local papers. Thanks for sharing this man. This really resonated with me.
Hey thanks for watching and I'm glad it resonated with you. 🤝🤙
This is such a touching story I can picture that dump creeping out. It must have been amazing.
My son is 6 and autistic, and it does get easier with time. My son was exactly like you're describing at that age. I'm almost certain I am on the spectrum as well somewhere. Keep going, man! You're doing an amazing job.
Thanks
Vu. Thank you.
Thank you for being you and sharing the genuine you with all of us.
I've been following you for a long time, as you probably know. At first, I had no idea what it was about you and your channel that pulled me in. Was it the "I don't give a shit if I'm sponsored or not" -attitude?Was it your brilliant sense of humor? Was it the fact that you always made me crave Vietnamese food? Was it your skills? The quality of the videos? Probably a bit of each. But there was something in your videos that I just couldn't put my finger on. Something about you that reminded me of...well, me.
Then, all of a sudden, you told us about your ADHD and your struggles with it. That was a huge aha moment for me.
I am a filmmaker myself. I mostly make corporate videos. Product videos, event videos, interviews, commercials - you name it.
The creativity, the outside of the box thinking and everything else you're talking about in this video is literally what got me into the business. I have no education. No prior knowledge and I had no business connections beforehand.
It all came down to my ability to thing outside of that box that everyone keeps talking about.
I myself am not on the spectrum, but you know, autism and ADHD are like a dysfunctional couple of cousins.
Anyway, I digress, as always.
What I really wanted to do is give you my heartfelt thanks. Thanks for motivating people to be themselves. Thanks for helping people accept themselves for who they are. Thanks for showing people out there, who need it the most, that it's ok to be "different". Hell, it might even be the very reason they'll do really damn well in life.
If you ever need a spare slipper, just holler and I'll hook you up with a genuine Swedish Träsko. That oughta shut Phuc up for quite some time!
Sorry for the novel sized comment.
You're the best, Vu ❤️
Thanks bro. Glad we can relate. Appreciate the kind words. 🙏
I came for a lens review, didn't expect a documentary. But I stayed and finished the film. Great work and my blessings to you and your family!
Thanks
This is excellent. Great work, Vu.
I got the diagnosis too earlier this year at the age of 39 after spending all my life so far wondering what the hell is going on.
You nailed this.
🙏 awesome man.
I want to personally thank you for your videos. Your videos have helped me this year as I was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago. And when your video on AuDHD dropped, I was like: "damn, it sucks to be like that!". Ironically, it didn't take long for me to find ADHD in myself and get officially diagnosed afterwards.
Your beautiful and emotive cinematography makes me feel more connected than ever. Thank you!
🤝🤝🤝
Thank you for taking a chance opening up and creating this inspiring content bro!
This was the video I was meant to see. This has to be a sign. My son and I both have to go see a doc. This totally makes sense now. Holey moley all these years.

Vu, prior to seeing this you were quickly rising to be one of my favorite RUclips channels.. this video.. solidified your spot! Touched my on a personal level as my son who’s 4 has autism.. watching your little man in this video tugged on my heart strings… he too is non verbal. Super smart. Learning sign and teaching him so we can communicate.. it has humbled me as a father to take care of my boy.. the meltdowns.. the struggles..the therapy’s.. everything to give my boy a shot at being able to thrive one day on his own and not worrying.. seeing you and your success and how you function amazingly gives me that hope!! Thanks for an awesome video my friend!!
Thanks for watching and for the support. I'm glad your son is doing well. So many have commented with autistic sons. I think some people don't even know they are, just like me for 38 years
Sir, I salute you
Your videos give quality’s, in-depth information, not only for what you say but also for what you show. Bravo! Your son will thrive. He has a great Dad.
Thanks
Respect to this video, respect to this review, respect to the skills, respect to your story, respect to you for sharing.
Very moving and smart. Obviously sincere too.
Thank you
🙏 thank you
Vu, I have been following your channel for a while and love your humor and the quality of your content. This video went to another level. Incredibly moving, with moments of laugh-out-loud humor. I had to go back and watch it with my headphones to fully appreciate the internal monologue. Award Winning!
🙏🙏🙏 thank you for watching and support
Humorous and touching video, you are very blessed & talented Vu!
Appreciate it!
I've been a fan of your RUclips and Vimeo channels for a while, and I just wanted to say that this video really captures your filmmaking mastery, your unique sense of humor, with an emotional punch. It honestly made my day! Great job! 😊👏

That was so good brother. Emotion and message perfectly coming across.
Thank you🤙
Man this was beautiful. Reminds me of the one internal dialogue of The Beach.
Thanks for watching and for the kind words !
Wow, this was the most amazing 'unboxing video' I've seen.... Thanks for sharing your story, lots of Love and Light for all of you! And all the shots were made with so much care and detail, fabulous!

God Bless you man. Prayers for you and your beautiful family. Nothing but success for you mate.
I appreciate that
Great video. My son got diagnosed with ASD last year and as a parent it is tough to grapple with every day.
Hang in there 🤝
Vu, I normally watch your videos for the no-b.s. reviews and humor at the end with the masterlcass stuff, but this video, or rather documentary, damn! That was powerful. Cinematography was beautiful, and the story was even more beautiful. Very emotional. Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing with us.
💯🫡🤝 thanks for watching and for the support!

It gave me goosebumps, it made laugh, it made me cry. This short film made me stop and look at myself. This film is powerful. This... This here is what filming is about. Great video, great story. Thanks!
Thanks 🙏
The best review video, maybe best video in general I’ve ever seen on RUclips.
Wow thanks for the kind words and for watching🙏
Ahhh this really got to me. We are very similar. My son is also afflicted with autism. I wasn't sure if you were joking at first but it got pretty real pretty quickly. I'm rooting for you man. Like I've always said, you are a super underrated creator and this proves it. Only held back because you create the way "YOU" want to create and not the way society wants you to create. I also do the punching bag thing lol and I'm also an 80's kid grew up in the 90s. I'm a bit older but I won't go into that. This video is a hallmark and I hope it goes viral.
Thanks man. You can't be that much older. I'm 1984.
@@nVuFilms I'm old as heck dude. Born in the 70's.

Vu! Been a fan of the channel for a few months now, and I realize that I relate with so much of what you have to say about yourself (mentally) despite being light-years different from you physically. Just wanna say thanku for posting this and helping expand my cinematographic knowledge, and for being so funny/open in the process 🙏
Thanks for watching!
You're a great Dad Vu, Keep moving forward dude! (you're also my favourite Tube Doucher)

This video is great man! This is that real talk I relate to. I hope you blow up on this platform as THIS is storytelling!
Thank you
I see this story a lot now. I went something similar myself the past few years with my kids and myself. The way you just told the story was so beautiful in both sound and vision. I had to stop playing it on my phone and throw it on the big screen. Thanks for this.
And I like your humor!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
And I'm glad you get the jokes
you are moving into a whole new level man! This was great!
Amazing film! Very inspirational. I love the cinematography. You are amazing at what you do! Keep up the great work

Amazing video Vu. Watching this made me realize that I might be the same as you. I have questioned the exact same things about myself lately when looking back to my past.
Such a nice storytelling that brought tears to my eyes. Fantastic movie man ! Love your work

I really appreciate showing your true self and vulnerabilities, it's what sets you different from the other YouDouchers out there. And of course I wish to you and your family to simply forever be what you are already - A HAPPY FAMILY!!!
Thanks 👍
An amazing video!!! It strikes home because my son is also on the spectrum. Dad’s talking about autism is something that isn’t really publicly talked about, so thank you for shedding some light on the topic.
Thank you. And thank you for sharing about your son.
This is amazing. I felt I connected alot to this. I have not been diagnosed with autism but I related alot to the thoughts and feelings that you had/have. The inner thoughts that break into micro thoughts pilled on top of each other, never really being apart of the crowd and the biggest thing, feeling like most of my social interactions were an manual focus type. Thank you for this. Youre awesome!

Super deep, awesome story and great review. Show, don't tell.

Very inspiring. I believe I am struggling with autism too and after watching this I plan to get diagnosed. Thank you!
Nothing wrong with it brother. You only struggle with it because the rest of world the world are designed for non-autistic people. Your mind just works differently and the struggle is constantly trying to make sense out of your surroundings even though it doesn't logically make sense
@@nVuFilms yeah, my whole life I always felt like I don’t belong here and didn’t have friends. Do you feel the same?
@@PhotographybySatesh friends was a big issue until middle school where I found a few other outkast dudes to hang with. But didn't really develop strong relationships until high school. A lot of times I just wanted 1 friend. Didn't want too many at one time because too much to manage
