Here’s a rundown of his resume: he’s written for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" and was the first stand-up comedian to perform on the show. But, it was his breakout performance on the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump that really got people talking. Since then, he’s become one of the most sought-after comics on the scene, and has lampooned other celebs like Charlie Sheen and Roseanne Barr. In this video, www.WatchMojo.com heads to Montreal's JFL to speak with Jeselnik about his on-stage persona, the limits of comedy, and his comedic influences. We also chat about the specific rules certain celebs have at Roasts, and what you can and can’t mock.

He was my good friend when I briefly lived in Los Angeles. He’s actually a really really nice man but his comedy just kills every time. I love it.
That’s really cool. I’m 17 and I do stand up and he’s one of my biggest inspirations. So unique. I like his writing philosophy of surprising punchlines and mean style

Two things. One, that's hilarious how he told the Holocaust joke twice at the same comedy show, just to let the audience know he didn't care. That's classic Jeselnik! 🤣🤣 Two, I hope to God he plowed that hot ass reporter once the cameras went off! 👍🏿👍🏿😁

Zornbringer, go back and watch Bill Hicks' stuff. There's some funny bits in there, but there's also a fair amount of unfunny prothletising. Saying that Bill Hicks is deep or hilarious is like a silly teenager who just got a book of Jim Morrison's poetry and thinks they're deep. Jim Morrison was a twenty-something alcoholic who died in a bathtub, and Bill Hicks had some good bits, but was an angry guy who favored his anger over being funny. I liked Hicks, but he wasn't the panacea for comedy.

The problem is its becoming the exception and not the rule. Comedians need to be willing to say whatever they feel is funny. You may not like what they say but other may. And as Patrice O'Neal said: funny or not it all comes from the same place.

I can't tell if she asked all the right questions or he's really good at explaining his process but this was way more in depth than I thought it'd be, great interview

This guy is hilarious. My favorite joke of his is, " My Uncle runs a camp for kids who are about to be molested." That shit is dark and funny.

He and Burr are hands down my favorites comics today.
HE's amazing at what he does, and I don't know if he knows how phenomenal his voice is. He could have done almost anything in broadcasting, TV, theater, or whatever with a voice like that. Keep working that gift!!!

More than just being an outrageous comic, Anthony pulls off the hardest type of joke writing there is and it’s amazing to watch

Honestly Jeselnik is right, once sick people accept a sickness they really, in my experience, aren't that touchy about it. For example I have epilepsy, and now that I'm adjusted to the idea of it, I find all jokes about epilepsy hilarious! It's a shame his show got cancelled.

Born 3 months early here. I'm legally blind and, for years, I'd end every blind class with "See ya."

HIs best burn was in the roast of Roseanne to Katy Sagal. "Katy Sagal you are a brilliant actress you starred in Married With Children the show that changed comedy Sons of Anarchy the show that took drama to a whole new level and 8 Simple rules the show that killed John Ritter". I love Katy Sagal and every character she has played but that was an incredible burn.
This guy is brilliant, period. And so different. He has his own style. I admire him. Hew brings a lot to the discussion.
I’ve come to love Anthony’s comedy. It’s always Interesting to see him off stage. He’s actually really nice guy. Makes me like him even more.

I loved this interview, I had no idea he actually had a good personality and was down to earth. I love his sense of humor and now respect him a little more hearing him say his own jokes are disgusting and awful haha.I want a new netflix special already. His last one was gold.
