The fact that Jeselnik didn't get sarcastic or try to insult Spade shows how much he actually respects David Spade, as he should! Great guys!
@Joshua Hammond Anthony does it to Pete Holmes but Pete likes it.
robbbyyy25 if you start to pay attention to how other comedians and actors talk about him, he’s loved by literally everybody
@@BennettParsons1 norm macdonald put him his top 5.
dallas norm is a GOAT so I trust that
@The Ivory Birchman Bit confused without context. Got a link ?
That being Anthony Jeselnik's favorite joke of all time literally explains his whole career.
As soon as he told the joke I could see Jeselnik loving it. Fire lit.
That spade joke sounds exactly like something Jesselnik would do can hear him saying it with his delivery and everything
Agreed. His tone and delivery can make any joke that much funnier.
Don’t even get why it’s so funny lol like I get the joke and everything but it’s just not that funny to me lol. I feel like if Jeselnik told it originally it would be funnier.
You can hear him saying it and everything?!?! Wow that's amazing!!
@@markschultz3791 sit down stupid
No one wants you here
David is criminally underrated...
Agreed. As I said in another comment his tone and delivery are magic.
He’s not underrated. That’s an insult. He’s rich and famous. He has a show.
@@debbbb2561 nobody talks about Spade. He's great and should be mentioned more often.
@@debbbb2561 Right??!!! It's my pet peeve that drives me nuts! If you read enough RUclips comments under just about any video clip, there's always that one "so underrated" comment.
Pretty soon every comedian, actor, athlete, etc...will be considered " underrated" by that same judgemental, backseat driver that doesn't even know what it means.
dcool2u2 you’re really that pressed about it 😂
This is so great. Particularly, 2:05 - 2:43. Anthony just lets David talk. No random jokes. No interruptions. Perfection.
Exactly, agreed.
That's what you call respect
Respect towards David for sticking by Dennis Miller. Shows that he is a true friend. 👍
I don't think they're friends, he just owes him, and feels obliged. People are lying when they say they're "not political". It's a polite way to not discuss something that could cost you a lot of money if you say the wrong things. No one is really friends with Dennis Miller anymore. Maga made that bed. It made it with hatred, bitterness, and ignorance, and anyone who helped make it will lay in it forever. Nothing will be forgiven. They might as well go all in, because they're pariahs in decent society now.
Totally agree
To see Anthony giving respect to another comedian on camera to this level, wow, new respect for David
Spade had an even better followup joke: Jon Benet's body was exhumed but it was just so her mom could change her outfit.
FormerHumanX LMFAO 😂😂😂 Spade is brilliant
Fuckin' gold!
lmao
lol! 🤣 Oh...Mah...Gee....That's HILARIOUS!
And re touch her make up.
As weird as it sounds, hearing Jeselnik's "I dont relate to people" statement makes him more likeable. I'd rather a celebrity realize that they have a totally different lifestyle than try to be relatable.
True.
He's a celebrity? That's kind of surprising lol.
I can see how Jeselnick learned alot from Spade. They're both professional smartasses lol.
Matt Johnston i wont say spade invented it but damn he really put it to practice hahahha
@@teamgitusome Him and Farley in Tommy Boy will never get old lol✌
The Kross absolutely this. Perfecting something is just as impressive and Spade definitely perfected sarcasm/don’tgiveafuckism (patent pending). What I really respect about him, though, is that he’s quite humble when out of character.
Spade's Hollywood Minute on SNL was just insult one celebrity everyone likes, insult another. People were amazed. It was kind of like Norm calling out O.J. and Michael Jackson but spread around more evenly.
"don’tgiveafuckism" Let's not forget Robert Mitchum; Elvis's "Baby, I Don't Care" was a Mitchum quote.

Never knew Spade used to tell such disgusting jokes. Now I like him even more.
eduardo jimenez I don’t get the John Money joke that Anthony liked can you explain?
@@Eanicus @Eanicus JonBenet was a child beauty queen. She was killed in her basement and they never caught the killer. It was a crime that shocked the nation. Spade's joke was difficult because the crime was still fresh in everyone's mind and she was a child. I think he was sort of making fun of beauty pageant for kids, of how ridiculous they are and maybe the sexualization of children. Most comics would stay away from something so dark but he went there, in the 1990s. 😨 Thus the admiration from Anthony.
Eanicus - It was definitely her brother!
Chris Rock tells how bad he is from the moment they met on SNL
Gotta tell the vulgar ones to get noticed, then you have to tone it down later in your career so you can get cast in grownups 2 and shit
Damn...I think the audience was hissing at Spade for making that joke...dude just doesn't give a shit, I can see why Anthony would admire that.
These Comedy Central talk shows are great. I love how they show the clips of stuff they’re talking about. It keeps you from leaving the current video to check out the one they are talking about.
Anthony wrote my favorite joke. I went out with this girl and I knew her in the biblical since...Meaning I didn't believe a word she said..beautiful

Spade is great. I love when he gives directions to his Vegas hotel room.
Both Spade specials are sooo good. He’s respected but I think he’s one of the greats. He just doesn’t have enough material available. 2 specials in like 30 years.
Two of the all-time best and two of my favorite comedians.
these can be your favorite, but they are not the best ever. jesus christ is that a joke? lol
@@deVon30241 it's subjective
Two great comedians in the same room getting along famously. 👏
This is a fantastic interview approach. A lot of hosts could learn from this. Which is super unexpected to have come from Anthony Jeselnik.
Anthony is one of my fav stand up comedians of all time! Not everyone understands his comedy, but if you get it - he’s a genius!
I like a comedian who doesn't have to constantly talk about how edgy they are.
That's what a lot of internet "comedians" tend to do
Phoenix Funny thats what jeselnik does
You do?!? That's way interesting about you!!!

That’s Anthony’s entire schtick
I never realized Spade was this funny! That was just awesome.
Picasso literally had a period where he painted current events
I'm glad someone else picked up on that
Immediately scrolled to the comments section for this when he said that
Was Guernica one of those? Or was that after the fact?
@Joshua Hammond Yeah, he got the easel out as the bombs were falling ;0)
Thats not politics
Seeing Anthony smile is hilarious..
I gotta say, I've never seen Spade in anything other than old SNL clips and the Farley and Sandler movies, but he's really really funny. Can't wait check out his specials.
Watch him with theo von on theos podcast. Some funny shit there.
He’s also great on the 1st episode of Norm McDonald on Netflix
That’s the thing. He hasn’t had the exposure. Other than a couple Sandler movies, you’d have to seek his stuff out to find it. It’s a shame because he’s hilarious.
Spade has the best improvised one liners!
Dennis Miller is a legend.
I love Dennis so many of today’s comedians hate him just because he’s a republican
@@martysullivan8344 I couldn't disagree with his political views more but I agree, it bothers me that people write him off because of that. go back and listen to his radio segments with norm and his old standup - it's objectively brilliant
Sorry but once he went on RT (Russian state propaganda network) that is a bridge way too far. Looks like he had enough sense to walk away from it and disappear, but despite his value as a once intelligent and sober voice of conservative counterpoint...
Welp if you enable Trump and Putin, and you have an IQ like Miller, you have no excuses for the damage you cause. Ego and money and pride over morals and intellectual honesty.
@@tradtke101 Trump has deeply damaged you
Genuinely loved this short video. So interesting I wanna be a stand up eventually and it good to see two great comedians talk about the craft
Spade and Jeselnik both high intelligence. Both funny as hell.
Jeselnik should take this onto RUclips he’s a good interviewer
This show has definitely made me a fan of jeselnik....so funny.
God, Spade's delivery of that joke is amazing.
David Spade is hands down one of the funniest dudes alive.
Europaii ॐ agreed!
this is actually true
If only he stepped over the line more often, his sarcastic celeb humour is great.
You need to meet more people lol
Im pretty sure that is the first time anyone has ever said that in history. You must have not watched comedy in over a decade to believe that.
I remember when Jon Benet's picture was on the covers of all of the magazines, even glamour magazines, like People, and it was kind of creepy. David Spade's joke just kicks it up a notch, illustrating absurdity by being absurd. Who saw Little Miss Sunshine and did not think of Jon Benet at the end of the flick?
Two of the best right here at the table.
I was in line at the LA Car Show in front of Spade. Expected him to be cold and quiet. We started talking and he was hilarious. And he was doing it only for an audience of one. Naturally funny.
Did they let him in Free, because they thought he was your kid? 😉 JK that is F'ing cool!
I immediately knew what the joke was going to be. Because I saw that special as a little kid and it’s the one joke I never forgot from it.
I agree. David is the funniest person alive. True comedy master!
Love all y’all s videos 🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
david spade is quite literally my favorite person.
I hope they team up and write jokes together. Until forever.
Dennis Miller is high brow comedy with so many esoteric references. Love it.
More this is gold
i love these two
That joke brings so much joy to the world
I love some David Spade.
I always thought that Anthony Jeselnik has a similar style to Jimmy Carr, in a way that he presents one-liners or short one time stories where the jokes themselves are separate and the entire act isn't connected to one story that just builds and builds from joke to joke. I like it.
Does that make sense?
I'm currently transitioning from Carr to Jeselnik. Transitioning as in "already saw everything from Carr once or more, now doing the same with Jeselnik"
Yeah I know what you mean. They both have a very similar style of comedy, both in material and delivery. And they both really ‘go there’ in terms of their dirty but hilarious one-liners. Jimmy’s pacing is a bit quicker whereas Anthony takes a little longer to deliver each joke.
I've been on a Jeselnik binge lately. The guy's got talent.
Spades a legend!.
theres also no joke too spicy for Anthony
Love both!
I remember David spade from the show just shoot me. He became my favorite celebrity from that
I really like both these guys.
I think Spade had one of my favorite jokes at the snl news desk. It was just after Michael Jackson was acquitted of molesting kids at his ranch. Spade said, "Thumbs up to the jury for acquitting Michael Jackson. and thumbs down for all those poor kids who were molested."
such a good episode
I feel like they should hang out.

Welcome to the seance.
Can, you explain that please?
Seances, on TV or in the movies anyway, are typically held at a table in a dark room with lots of candles burning.

Jeselnik. Spade. Poifect.

Take the hit was easily amongst the greatest comedy special ever done.
Right up there with Elephant in the Room , Killing them Softly and Man Class
I remember the first time seeing Spade doing stand up on tv. The joke about the friend name Charlie. It wasn't his real name they just called him that because he's Vietnamese.

@repetemcfly Why... because he doesn't sound at all like him?
Two incredibly funny comedians and two great heads of hair
Spade is a gift
Love David spade.
I like how at the end there Jeselnik just starts a joke mid-sentence and the camera quickly turns to Spade as Spade slowly realizes Jeselnik is mid-joke lol
This is a great show
Beautiful.
Man, Jeselnik does a good interview
In 2008 my Automotive class took a senior trip to the LA Auto show. David Spade and Henry Winkler both just happened to be attending the auto show as well. My cousin, our friend who was a girl, and I spotted them eating lunch so we waited until they were done eating as to not be rude. I asked if we could get a picture with David Spade and he said yes. I asked Henry Winkler if he would take the picture of us, not knowing until I got home and told my Aunt Henry Winkler was supposed to be there too. She pulled up a current picture of him and I was really embarrassed that I thought he was David Spade's manager or something. They both were really nice and probably had a good laugh about it later.
I was binging stand up interviews but now I'm off to rewatch Joe Dirt
