Good morning Jane. What a beautiful little island and a fascinating story. Watching was a lovely, peaceful way to start Friday morning with a cup of coffee. Thank you
Thank you Jane for a lovely video and for taking us along on your trip. The history of the beautiful island is fascinating and the rain added to the peacefulness.
How fascinating for you. If you are interested in Mary Queen of Scot’s I would recommend Clare Hunter’s book Embroidering her Truth. The audio version is especially good. X
Thank you for this beautiful excursion, soft rain as here in the Southwest of Ireland. That island, that ruin looks so similar to Innisfallen Island on the shores of Killarney (County Kerry also here in the Southwest), it was a 12th century Augustinian Priory as well as a Romanesque Church. Only surrounded by wild nature including deer.
Always value your podcasts. Particularly interested in today's and hope to visit this island one day. How wise to visit on a rainy day!! thanks for sharing this.
Thank you for a great video.. what a wonderful and stunning place this is...I went to a few of Ireland's priory one very similarly in Killarney ..so peaceful and beautifully green..I loved every minute of it..❤ must put Scotland on holiday list!!😅
Thanks for taking us all to Inchmahome. What a beautiful, peaceful place and one I must visit soon. I've just started reading "Embroidering her Truth" by Clare Hunter which tells the story of Mary, Queen of Scots through her embroideries and the textiles and costumes of the time, so your trip has added another visual dimension to my reading. Ps hope your garden survived the electrical repairs!!
Lovely video thank you...Funnily I was at The Lake at the weekend with friends at Nick Nairns' Place..I haven't visited the Island for many years but your video has inspired me to go...I also live locally but like you don't tend to go to touristy places...We live in such a beautiful area we should get out and about more....LOL...😊
I didn't know about the Greenwich agreement... history would have been so very different if they had married and England and Scotland had joined then x

Really enjoyed this glimpse of Inchmahome. As I live about 20 miles away & never been it’s now going to be a rainy day out. Thanks 🏴
There isn’t a cafe on the island so take a snack!
Thank you.

I didn't know about the Greenwich agreement... history would have been so very different if they had married and England and Scotland had joined then x
I guess that Marie de Guise would be reluctant to wed her daughter into a family that killed its queens. X
