Absolutely love your home. Thanks so much for sharing. Thank you, thank you, thank you. To make your home something, somewhere, you love,... Is the best thing you can do for yourself.
Oh, Jane, your home is as enchanting as you are. It exemplifies everything home means to me - personal and full of memories. Thank you for inviting us in; it's an honor.
I share so many of your views about homes Jane. As I look round my sewing room/study it’s full of makes and memories, and so is the rest of my home. Thankyou so much for sharing this tour of a real home. Xx
@@snapdragonlife I' m Irish but I live in Alicante ..too much light here.I REALLY enjoyed your vlog, though I only discovered It by chance at 1 am haha...had to FORCE myself to go to bed .So enthusiastic about discovering your work ( LOVE those blue pictures on the wall behind You!,)
My parents have had the very same farming mug all my life, I love it to and was delighted when the poem was recited during the wassail we hosted in the orchard in February!
How amazing! I did a little googling and it’s known as The Farmer’s Toast and was very popular in C19th for iron ware pottery decoration ( like this and your parents’ mug) and then became a folk music standard in C20th ruclips.net/video/yNO-ELwsEwM/видео.html So very apt for a wassail.
We call them ranch style homes in the USA. We bought ours in 2003 and proceeded to knock out walls and turned the back porch into a sunroom. I love our home in the Blue Ridge foothills. Our Scottish ancestors settled here hundreds of years ago. Your home is lovely and cozy.❤ I'm a crafter and landscape artist who is looking forward to retirement, so I can play with art and plants all day.
Your home is exactly what speaks to me as a delightful living space. If I break a piece of pottery into bits I keep them all, I am very sentimental. Thank you for sharing.
I really enjoyed your video. I do appreciate your attitude toward things that have been broken. I also feel they are still useful and beautiful and deserve a place in our lives, hearts and shelves to repurpose. Thank you for the tour. I too repurpose and gather things to make my home my own.
Thank you Jane for showing us around your home and what a Home it is! I love that everything has meaning and is beautiful, just as it should be. I think a home should be a real reflection of who we are and how we live - not a show home designed by someone distant from our life x
What a beautiful home& such an endearing lovely lady, that brightened up my day. Who needs fancy, it’s whatever makes us happy. Thank you for sharing ❤
I watch many, many house tours, and I can’t think when I last enjoyed one so much! I share all of your ideas and feelings about what home should mean, and what our homes should express to those who enter them. I, too, am very fond of several of my things that have a nick, or dent, or broken ear that’s been glued and reglued several times! I fell in love with your gorgeous wood stove, and I really wish we could use something like that, but I live in the Arizona desert in the US. We might be able to use a stove like that one night a year! 🥵 Thank you so much for sharing this look into your home, and I will enjoy catching up with your previous videos.
I’m so glad your channel showed up on my RUclips page! Love you home, it’s so welcoming and cozy. Also love you furniture, especially the cabinet in the porch area and the pharmacy cabinet in the big room.❤
Really enjoyed this glimpse into your lovely home. I love the dresser in porch filled with things you love. It is such gesture of welcome to all who come in.
Your home is both artistic, charming, inviting & inspiring❣️ I love every space you’ve created with the mix of well loved objects, art & ceramics❣️Thank you for the gorgeous tour❣️
This is the second time I've watched this video... just came up,.... I love seeing people's homes.... not the "decorated" homes, but collected over time with special things with stories homes.... yours definitely fits that category! .I love that you, like me, have stories for your chosen pieces.. I feel like everything I own has a story... I love that.
Jane, I also enjoyed your tour and had a tiny moment of exclamation when you mentioned Sarah Susanka's book, The Not So Big House - an old favorite of mine. But it's not nearly as good as one of her other books, The Not So Big Life: Making Room for What Really Matters. Clearly you don't need to read it, because it appears as though you have done just that! Thank you for sharing your treasures with us. Love the pottery, the birds, the Mary Chapin Carpenter song quote, the art and all the colors. And your apothecary dresser of drawers is quite intriguing... I'm not sure I could resist the temptation to take a peek into a drawer or two! 💗
What a beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtful home. Thank you for sharing your treasures. (And they really are treasures, especially the things with cracks and chips.) My favorite parts: the unbelievably fabulous apothecary chest (of course, me and every other person who watched your video 😅), the map-behind-glass above your stove, and the peace dove ceramic plate. The whole space is deeply personal yet serene. Lovely.
Absolutely loved your house. And I agree, a house is a place for joy and life and doesn't need to be all tidy and precious. Thank you for sharing such an intimate corner of yourself.
Thank you, Jane, for sharing your home with us and what an inspiring, welcoming, and beautiful place it is. I just knew it would be all these things and more. x
Hello Jane, thank you for this lovely video. Your home is gorgeous. I especially love your kitchen which is just what I would have if I had the space. The most important thing about a home is that it grows, evolves around those who live there and provides security, comfort and stability for us as we venture out into the world and return again to gather with our loved ones. You have a lot of "gathering" spaces which I as an Irish woman feel is vital. ❤Love Vera
Loving your beautiful and oh so interesting home. Thanks for sharing it.......absolutely delightful. I feel I could sink into one of your chairs and just 'be'...........in the moment............
Loved looking around your beautiful home with you 😊 We have just moved into our new house and we too have things around us that we love and have had for years. Comfortable and familiar … love your ceramics too!
Thank you for sharing your home with us! I struggle with the decluttering trend and find myself fighting to hold on to the things I love and that have been loved by generations before me!
Thank you. I am very wary of people who are very dogmatic about decluttering - for some people I think it has a great freeing effect, but for others it makes a house much less like a ‘home’. X
So happy to have happened upon this video! I knew I would love the space when seeing your entry. I also own the NOT SO BIG HOUSE, a very special gift from my brother after he visited with us in our home of the same description. 😀I'm going to pull it off the shelf again to remember him and his visit! ❤ I love walking into a home where its obvious that real people live here and things happen here. Love yr big space!
I love your “farmer’s” mug with the poem that says ;”in God we trust” with the poem….thanks for reading it😊. You are so down to earth, cute and lovely. 🥰
These are my favourite kinds of videos, too! I also love 'snooping' in other peoples homes :P Your house is beautiful and a place where I would feel very much at home.
I too love looking at peoples spaces, and your place has your own stamp on it, a house becomes a home with your own collection of loved things. Your dresser is beautiful and obviously a cherished piece and agree a porch in wild Scotland would be essential. The bowls are perfect for bulbs blooming. Love that you share all your beautiful collections. I am married to a Dr and still work part time but love getting home to my craft. Enjoy your channel, thanks for sharing.
I just happened upon your channel. Thank you so much for showing us your wonderfully eclectic house. I so agree that a home is full of things you love and have gathered over the years. They give you joy and comfort and remind you of people and times gone by, and indication of a life lived. The original house is so typical of the farm houses build for sons or retiring fathers on farms up and down Scotland - we lived in a manse , built in the large old manse glebe which looked so similar,of course it was n a farming area in Dumfries and Galloway.
Your home is very beautiful! Your artist's aesthetic is so natural. I love your collection of broken bowls and pots on your entry dresser, Thank you for sharing a tur of you lovely home.
Your home is lovely and unique. I have been married 50 years and we have owned seven homes and bits of them are all here. We downsized to a smaller house in retirement and I had to make hard choices as I am sentimental like you are, if I really love something it is for life. But it is nice living in a house full of everything you love because there was no room for things I was indifferent about. Thank you for the tour. You might think it odd but I loved your kitchen and the window and sink especially.
Thank you for showing your home. It looks happy and comfortable. I love your plates, art and furniture that all have meaning to you and character - the farmers mug is wonderfull. And the glass birds. The pigeon makes me smile. Not much of what we have is new. I wish I had your skill and artists eye in combining everything in such a pleasing way. Love the combination of the wall colour and colours of the window frames and doors.
@@snapdragonlife I lived in Paris for a year when I was younger. Nannying for an English family. My Norwegian friend was an Au Pair. She was much taller than me. And had a bird, but in particular, pigeon phobia. Making our way around Paris in our time off, she would use me as a shield between her and the pigeons.
Your home is how a home should be. Filled with love and the items that resonate with your heart and soul. It is beautiful and I feel the same about my home. My home is not trendy, or expensive but the things in it are meaningful to our family. These are the things that I feel matter in life.
Thank you for sharing your space, it is calm and creative like you and eclectic in the best way. I love your ceramics and wall letters and how everything has meaning .That is what a home is . I have a lot of things that hold memories too I just need to de clutter so they are seen. Your home is warm, welcoming and uncluttered! ❤
Thank so much for inviting us into your home Jane. I wish I could invite you into our home in sunny SW Florida. Except for our appliances I do believe I can count on one hand the new purchases in our home. Your home is both lovely and welcoming. I am happy your video popped up on my feed. You have a new follower.
I'm like you, I love seeing people's home and their personalities. Thank you for including the memories and where you found/acquire the pieces. Happy Friday.
What wonderful little cottage you have created out of an 80s vanilla as we call them in the states ``ranch style" home. Your vlog is timely for me because I am about to move out of my 1950s home of 25 years with all my pieces that have love and history attached to them into a tiny 1970s home less than 900 square feet. I have jettisoned all my large 2000s furniture I bought when I moved in and have only kept things that I have thrifted or have come down to me through family. Things with history that have been used and loved through the generations. I was at my new home just yesterday trying to visualize what I have in my new space and it is going to be a tight fit but I just can't imagine leaving anything out. Looking at your nooks gives me hope that I can achieve that feeling of cozy home, not tiny rooms overwhelmed by dark heavy furniture. Thank you for keeping me company while I have had my morning cup of coffee. See you in the next one.
Thank you jane, I so love house tours. Your home is an extension of you and everything you love have collected, been given that brings you joy and makes you happy.😊 a pleasant surprise really enjoyed looking around.
Lovely welcoming space Jane - as you say, it is so interesting to see the bits of furniture & the items people have on display. I could curl up by the fire with a book or some sewing!
I so loved the journey around the room. I also find ceramics so tactile and a joy to behold but I cannot afford to buy ; however you have inspired me with your finds that are not perfect and I will embark upon a treasure hunt of my own - thank you so much 🤗👏 June
The video I never knew I needed! What a great episode! Thank you for sharing your home, it is so creative and beautifully designed and full of love. I love your home, how lovely. J xo
Value is in the memories. My home has not many pieces of new furniture, in fact looking around only one sideboard that I bought but I have 45 years of memories within the walls. Thank you for the tour. Take care. =-)

Absolutely lovely Jane.. not messy at all, it's just you..
Thank you Dot. X
Lovely welcoming space Jane - as you say, it is so interesting to see the bits of furniture & the items people have on display. I could curl up by the fire with a book or some sewing!
Thank you. I’m glad that you enjoyed it. It’s always important to have somewhere to curl up with a book. X
I so loved the journey around the room. I also find ceramics so tactile and a joy to behold but I cannot afford to buy ; however you have inspired me with your finds that are not perfect and I will embark upon a treasure hunt of my own - thank you so much 🤗👏 June
I actually love the breaks - that someone has taken the time to mend something rather than just throw it out. X
I love the farmers mug, it’s a home full of charm and with the dove hope.xxx🐝🐝🐝
Thank you. I hope so 😂 x

Thanks so much Jo (& for the insta share) x
Value is in the memories. My home has not many pieces of new furniture, in fact looking around only one sideboard that I bought but I have 45 years of memories within the walls. Thank you for the tour. Take care. =-)
Thank you. You are so right - memories are so precious xx
Thank you for sharing your lovely and unique home.
Thank you for watching X
