  • Is it true what they say about E85? Frank (my B Series turbo Civic) has not started in over 2 months. Today I am going to try to get it started and tell you all why I have not touched this car in a while.

    I think it's time for Frank to go full racecar with a PDM and cage, but if you wanna go street car would be sweet as well.

    " not every built motor sucks, mine do! :D" i felt that deeply, my eg is on its 4th engine rn, and lemme tell you the first engine it had was a stock ass b20, never had a single problem, engine ran like a top, as i started to go down the road of power thats when the issues arised. currently rebuilding a b18b1 and hoping that works out good for me :)

    Awd it. It’ll be so much quicker. I did a 10.8 1/4 on the street with 205 50 15s and 530hp. It can totally be done on a budget. Also I don’t think you lifted the head. It would most likely be leaking coolant between the head and block. Check dizzy o ring, cam plug, vtec solenoid gasket and vc gasket. This car has so match potential don’t be discouraged!!! Btw try the speed factory head gasket and head studs. That combo is designed for 800hp.

    Before you tear it apart I cannot stress this enough make sure you have bled the coolant with a filler cone so coolant is at its highest point possible AND make sure your thermostat is opening up properly. Also I see you have an overflow! Make sure you have coolant in your overflow tank where it can suck back in coolant! If you don’t believe me look at stock reservoirs they have min/max for that reason. Love the channel! Keep up the work outs and you got this !! -500 hp integra guy just ducking in with my .02 👍

    Have you considered getting a new shell for the EG? I remember you talking a while ago about potentially doing that.

      I’m in between a new shell and fixing the rust. Not sure which route I want to go yet.

    Built motors are amazing however you must know what you are doing also use proper parts and do not cheap out on your seals anywhere.

    Ive been thinking about switching back to 93 also and just making the car more of a street car. I got b18b1 sitting around a built sleeved b16 in my car currently that overheats when ever i wanna drive on a day hotter than 70 degrees lol

    I wonder if artec made manifold for turbo B-series, cus as far as I know, they are the best compact cast manifold with optimum flow for turbos.

    • @boosted_john
      @boosted_john  4 месяца назад

      Just googled it. Turns out they do make one and it looks really good, but it’s almost $1,300 😂
      Would probably be a great option for someone building a true hardcore turbo track car.
