This is really cute, you are such a great teacher. I don't have a Cricut but I am headed over to look at your tips for sewing leather, I would love to try that.
Hi there! This is awesome. I do have Cricut Access and I cant seem to find the file? The 3 that it shows when I search aren't it. And when I click the link you provided it just takes me to cricut website. Can you help??
Colleen, I love your little passport holder. I travel a lot so this would be a great new gadget for me. Same goes for a Cricut maker, or actually any kind of cutting machine. I can't buy Cricut in Germany 😕
hi colleen awesome idea, I'm having trouble with cutting my metallic leather. I'm using my deep point blade, would that be the same as your deep cut? its not cutting through what so ever so i'm wondering where I've gone wrong.
That's such a bummer! I had no issues cutting through it, however the first time I cut regular leather I found it slipped all over the place. My problem was that I'd had the rough side down instead of the smooth side. I'm not sure what the issue would be... are you using a Cricut Maker? They have SO much more pressure that they can put on a material compared to the other machines, it's insane.
This is the Cricut made leather but I've also used leather I salvaged off a couch. It just takes some playing with your settings depending on the thickness! I am unsure of the oz. As for uploading your own designs... I have a whole video about that :) ruclips.net/video/Mlq1cOX1Ljs/видео.html
this link should take you to the project in cricut design space! It's not a downloadable one :) design.cricut.com/#/landing/user-project/100551097?sscid=51k3_b16um&.com
When sewing “sticky” fabrics like leather or laminated cotton, always use a walking foot. If you don’t have one - glue washi tape on your sewing foot - it lets the material slide better
Why none of cricut maker videos shows how to make the pattern? That's what we need. What of we want to make something different.. I appreciate you took your time to make the video but there are so many videos like this one. I think the most difficult part is the cricut space.
Because of copyright , the Cricut space won't let you share files you design yourself ON their software. There are other videos out there but most of the time it's easier to walk you through a DIY when you can use the same files :)
Have you ever used your Cricut for Leather?!
the pattern is no longer there... do you have another
I think the last pocket is for a luggage tag
What a great gift idea! I had no idea they had leather that you could do this with!
Yes! I gave one of them away already and think I need to make more! The metallic leather they make is really so pretty.
This is such a pretty passport holder! I love it! 💕
Thank you! Now I just need to travel somewhere so I can use it ;)

Thank you Sarah! There are so many possibilities with leather ❤️
This was Fantastic!! I love the outcome! This looks like something I would purchase💜 I love how u have all the Cricut crafting tools
Thank you Cass! I sure love my Cricut goodies :)
You are totally awesome. Love the idea. You make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing.
Aw thank you so much! I had fun with this one :)

Ooooh that's such a bummer! You would totally love crafting with it!
Could order one from the UK? Surely if they can be had in Switzerland, there's also a way to get one in Germany. Good luck.
CUTE!! My questions: can you only use this with the Cricut leather? And is it real leather, or manmade?

Nice I wish I could use this file in Silhouette Cameo 4
Thank you so you have to purchase in order to use?
Purchase the cricut? Yes you'd have to have a cricut to make this craft :)
What oz leather Can your machine cut regularly. And can you load your own patterns on the machine and cut them

I am trying to find the pattern in Cricut design space, unfortunately I have been unable to find this pattern. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

About how long was the entire creation process?
I made them start to finish in one baby naptime :)
@@ColleenPastoor thank you for your reply. so is that an hour? I don't have children yet. lol
I have a silhouette and would love to make this. We use our passports frequently and I dont know how to find this for my cutter. Any help?
Hi! I don't but I often team up with Alexis from Persia Lou who is amazing with her silhouette, so check out her channel :)

Great tip, thanks Katha!
Hi Colleen, I was wondering if that is transfer paper that you have on your mat under the leather? Thanks!
The mat is just an easy press mat from cricut! Nothing else :)
What sewing machine do you use?
Just a basic brother from Walmart!
would I be able to do this on the Cricut Explore Air 2??? I have cut leather before & had no problem.
Totally! I’ve cut leather with my explore air before. The maker cuts much cleaner but it’s definitely doable! ❤️❤️
Would one be able to sow this by hand?
Yes totally! You can get a wheel that pokes the holes for you first to make it easier to get the needle through :)
Yes, a saddle stitch would look great! But you would need to pre-punch the holes. Lots of youtube videos on that. :)

The stitching is terrible!!
