Also sorry everyone I completely forgot to mention! My boy Antoine Bandele was mentioned in the trailer during one of the title cards as far as a opinion quote to use! I had a conversation with him the other day on a livestream with other Avatar creators and so I wanted to shout him out here. Go give my man a follow as well he's great! www.youtube.com/@AntoineBandele
All I want now is for everyone to love it just as much as I know I will. Fingers crossed for season 2 and 3!
I, for one, *absolutely* need to see live action Toph. Obviously that won’t happen unless we see a season 2 so…fingers crossed!
some people will overly scrutinize it probably, and make it a huge deal. i for one done want a 1:1 to the cartoon, that would be boring. as long as this adaptation is faithful to the characters, im fine!
Just saw it and boy I'm disappointed.i had to go and rewatch the original to wipe my consciousness of the nasty imprint of left ewww
Bro Idc what anybody says, I’m hyped for this
I agree I don't care if it's not as good as the cartoon I just want it to be fun and entertaining.
Who else has been hyped for this since they first made the announcement years ago 😍
Yup!
Damn straight @Oakiiee! Only 30 hours left!
I won't lie. I was initially very skeptical.....but over the last 6 months or so I have become incredibly hyped, and a true believer!!!
Netflix servers gonna have some problems when Avatar drops😂
Lets hope not lol
I literally couldn’t get it to work for like 10 minutes when it dropped 😆
I got goosebumps watching the trailer
I didn't get goosebumps but i got that shiver you kno
I did with that close-up of Kyoshi.
The first trailer made me tear up. This one got me excited. For me, Bumi has always been my favorite ATLA character, so I can't wait to see if they did as well as the clips have shown. Only 30 hours to go before Netflix drops the series! God, I'm so excited!
@@TryTheBLT can’t believe it’s 30hrs away!!! I might stay up all night!!
@@Aogiri_9 goosebumps are a result of shivering, which means you both shivered/had goosebumps
Twitter or “X” is such a cesspool 😂
I believe it. It's taken me a few weeks to recognize the name change. For a while every time I clicked on a "twitter" link and it came up with a big X on the screen, I thought the page was busted and would click off the page. I think it's a warning.
@@drakenfist Elon changed it to X about 7 months ago. Also ruined the whole site and trolls and bots have taken over. As OP said, it’s a cesspool alright.
Either it’s “horny check” or fight videos with various other fights or death scenes shown in the comments
well that's the result of "free speech" campaign of X
Tell me about it...
Dude, this was THE ONLY thing I was worried about. I was worried they'd leave out Koizilla in favor of having Avatar Kuruk glow up and smite things. I'm on cloud damn 9 right now. Waking up and seeing my one fear diminished nearly broke me. I'M SO READY for this show.
I think Aang underwater is actually before he gets frozen because Appa is falling into the water behind him.
Ya again someone else pointed that out to me I thought that was just a chunk of a glacier
@@uncleirohsteashop to be fair that totally makes sense. I didn't catch it on my first go.
I can’t believe we’re 2 days away! I’m so hyped
One day for me!! Im in Australia :)
I’ve been craving for new Avatar content since the Legend of Korra ended.. Dreams do come true.
I can't really remember what people were thinking going into the live-action movie in 2010, but the hype right now for this live-action version seems way more positive
I wonder if this might be what they meant when they were saying "the way the Avatar State works is different" in this adaptation - every time it is used, it seems Aang is channeling a different past avatar, so instead of him having access to "all the strength of past avatars" he can only channel one at a time to start off with. Kyoshi on Kyoshi Island, Roku (presumably) at the Fire Sage Temple and possibly Kuruk for help at the Northern Water Tribe with Koizilla. The only exception to that pattern is when he's at the Southern Air Temple where he's just himself.
Maybe that's why there's such an emphasis on mastering the avatar state, because then not only can Aang control when he goes into it, but also unlock its full powers? (and that'd also help explain away why he can't just go into the avatar state and take down the fire lord immediately)
Ya this would be a cool new way to explore the avatar state and honestly I am there to see it happen if they do it well
I like that, I really really like that. In fact, I LOVE that. Change is great
This makes a lot of sense!
Same how people are going to find a way to hate of this show
There are things wrong with this
But if you’re just on dick ALL THE TIME looking for things hate and complain about maybe stop talking
Twitter users are never satisfied 💀
Same thing with tiktok... It's like people don't even want to like it 🙄
@@-12Sidedthey all act the same literally no originality whatsoever
They will add "..... Compared to the animated series" And consider even the slightest error to be a sign of a trash series.
Lot of bodies flying around in Kyoshi's fireball
LMAO I saw that that was funny
what do you expect its kyoshi we are talking here hehe
You mean Avatar "yeah, no, murder is cool, when you need to do some murder" Kyoshi? I'm surprised there's not more
5:18 Ocean Spirit. I honestly thought that they weren't gonna show this. But it has to be shown. Cause it's a very key part of that episode in Siege of the North. So glad it's gonna be shown 👏🏻
Every line I’ve heard from Kiawentiio in these trailers is so reassuring bc even the one line read of her screaming out Aang’s name at the southern air temple feels like Katara. Since she’s a longtime fan of the show I feel like she understands the fear and empathy Katara had for him in that moment
How he was getting down from her words (eventually) and rocking into her hands, crying. Oh, I was crying too. ❤😪
I think having Avatar Kuruk control Koizilla actually makes sense , bc not only was he the last water tribe Avatar but he was also from the Northern Water Tribe! So it would make sense for him to show up and show out
Tui and La!!!! ❤️ 🐟🐠
"So how much is the cgi gonna cost for this show?"
"...yes"
YES
This trailer had my jaw on the ground. Absolutely fantastic! I recognize almost everything and the live action translation is so good!!
I love that the Fire Nation has incorporated more of Thai aesthetic since they're both tropical.
3:53 all the visuals looked great in the final trailer.
This final trailer had me in tears…just wow
My siblings and I are so excited we are doing a watch party together. We are cooking avatar theme food and drinks and everything!
4:42 Sokka is doing what Iroh and Zuko are doing. Looking up at Aang as the Ocean Spirit. I did notice the koi fish behind him.
Finally a northern water tribe sneak peak! I already know I’m gonna cry when I see Yue become the moon spirit. Hell I just cried when I rewatched siege of the north pt 2
Oh my gawd, Kyoshi looks amazing!
It looks so freaking good! I'll try not to overhype myself though since I don't know how this will turn out, but it does look really amazing, ngl. I can't wait!
Hype for Koizilla too :p.
It makes sense for kurok to be the koi spirit since most of kuroks mission was to fight spirits to fix the mistakes of yeng chen
I think, the idea they had was that each location Aang goes to, he connects with the avatar altar of that Nation, therefore manifesting them.. like Kyoshi in Kyoshi Ireland, and Kuruk in The Northern water tribe.. IMO
i’m so excited!! love your breakdowns
Thank you!
I noticed a lot of new brand scenes and some original scenes that they're going to showing. When they showed the brand new scenes. I didn't think it was going to be shown in the live-action. I thought they were going to cut them out. I'm so glad they decided to leave them in. Going to be exciting to see how they portray those epic scenes. One more day left 🙌🏻 let's go 👏🏻
I'm completely okay if it ends up being Avatar Kuruk being the one inside the Koizilla. It would fit with the fact that they seem to be showing more of the Avatars, with Kyoshi showing up in Kyoshi village. The spectacle is really the giant water spirit monster, so it doesn't truly matter who's inside of it.
My one and only fear with them utilizing the other Avatars at certain points in the Avatar State, is it might take some of the emphasis on Aang being afraid of it/himself in Book 2. That's assuming they even adapt that part of his story arc in Book 2.
They might initially use the Avatar State to introduce the concept of it and the previous Avatars to the audience first, and then have an incident later in the story to kick off Aang's fear of it. Similar to his Firebending arc, Aang wasn't initially afraid to firebend until he accidentally hurt Katara, so they might go a similar route where Aang isn't initially afraid of the Avatar State until something happens that makes him afraid of using it.
I could see where you are coming from with this in mind so we'll have to see how they handle it
@DennisSlungard He would need to at least once in the first season. He hasn't learned waterbending yet at the start of the story, so he needs to go into the Avatar State in order to freeze himself in ice for 100 years, because he can't waterbend at that point without the Avatar State.
Well, it's been shown how he is going into the Avatar State during the Storm episode. Creating a huge ice sphere around him and Appa. He is doing it on his own. @@emilyprice178
Thank you so much for all your positivity leading up to the Live Action release. I have my fingers crossed that it is going to be an enjoyable adaptation that brings a new generation to a fantastic fandom.
Please keep doing what you are doing and for the Jasmine tea.
Haha thank you anytime! Come back for more tea anytime!
8:10 yes we have been waiting for this for so so long. Now it's finally about to happen. Even if us fans had to wait many years for it to happen.
That part where Aang was under water, that was when he froze himself with Appa(as u can see Appa behind him)
2:20 I feel like it’s actually when he makes the ice sphere because you can barely see Appa in the scene
My tea is ready🍵
4:17 I think what Iroh and Zuko are looking at is when Aang truns into the giant Ocean Spirit. In the Northern Watertribe to fight the Firenation army. I could be wrong. That's immediately what I thought when I say this shot.
The music in this trailer combined with the editing really made me cry, they really nailed all the big trailers. Thank you for covering all the promo❤
Awesooooooome! Cant friggin wait!
After watching this trailer, I want season 2 and 3 already
A season two and three that especially could be on a higher budget as well
I'm soooo happy Koizilla is making its appearance! This trailer was so amazing 🥲!!
2:18 I think it's the moment he freezes for 100 years, because Appa is behind him.
4:23 I think Sokka is not looking at Koizilla, she is looking at the moon when Yue gives her life for the spirit.
It's either that or it's Kozilla
I want to correct you hope you won't be offended but the part where Aang is underwater is after he ran away and you can see appa behind him
Is it really? No like I'll be honest with you I thought that that was giant chunk of ice that came off of the glaciers that I would assume Zuko's ship surrounded by.
@@uncleirohsteashopNope it’s definitely Appa. I’d know that Sky Bison 🦬 silhouette ANYWHERE.
This is what I thought as well, and it matches with Kyoshi's line about the avatar state "or it could save your live."
Can't even put into words how excited I am to watch this adaptation! Like, call me overemotional, but I have legit tears in my eyes from happiness 😭
Have only see a couple of your videos so far, and I love how you always go right to the point and talk just enough about each topic that you are covering. Consider me a new subscriber now!
Thank you lol glad to have you as a new customer to the tea shop!
I would love to see more of Kuruk and Yangchen in LA adaptation
I genuinely hope that season 2 gets the green light I really want to see toph she’s my favorite character
Congrats on hitting 4k subs! When I first subbed you only had a few hundred and it's been so cool to see your channel grow so much. I am so excited about Avatar and I know two things, the casting is spot-on and the costumes are magnificant. Hope everything about it is as good. Can't wait to see your videos afterwards.
Wow thank you so much for sticking around you are a true fan and I appreciate it!
I would like to mention the scene in the trailer that you said looks like when he goes into the Avatar state when he falls off Zuko's ship, if you look closely you can see Appa floating behind him so it's more likely to be him when he freezes them.
I for some reason just thought it was a chunk of a glacier lol
One more day man, can’t wait
Muuuuuuch better Kuruk doing it instead of Aang. Makes a lot more sense, also looks cooler
I am so Hyped
Can't wait to see Ba Sing Se!
Love your vids, love your content, love it all
Thank you!
I do like the Idea of having Aang manifesting other avatars. It lets us get familiar with past avatars besides Roku and Kyoshi. Since they are all connected, I see it as a way they can kind of help guide and control his power as he learns how to master the state and maybe having more than Roku as a mentor. With that, I'm just really looking forward to Roku coming in the winter solstice episode.
It sucks that they only release these trailers on twitter. Not everyone is or wants to be on it. Thanks for giving me with your breakdown of it.
They're on Tiktok too if that's any better
Lol this trailer is actually on RUclips too
What are you talking about? the trailers have been on youtube as well.
I would actually love if they took the approach of past avatars manifesting themselves to help Aang. Roku did so in the animated series, here they are bringing Kyoshi in to protect her village, so seeing Kuruk could be good.
Another reason this could be possible is this: think about it. Aang hadn't mastered the avatar state, yet The North Pole was probably the only time he seemed to intentionally enter the Avatar State to help the spirits out. And the havoc he wrecked there, it's hard to assume Aang would go that insane on the Fire Nation, so it suits the idea that Kuruk manifested himself and took control to protect his tribe, just like Kyoshi does here.
The concept that the Avatar State is a direct manifestation of a past avatar, so as to give pristine control on one element in particular, with good control on others, is an interesting way to reimagine this Superpower Aang has.
All very accurate points to bring up and you might have hit it on the head in terms of what they will be doing
I'm glad it was Avatar Kyoshi and not Roku who told Aang to master the 4 Elements and defeat the Fire Lord. In the animation Avatar Roku told Aang to master all elements before the comet arrives before summer in a span of 6 months. in this live action, im hoping they wouldn't include that early in the story since the cast would age Fast if we follow the timeline in the animation series.
Looks really good!
I was pretty upset when I first heard it wouldn’t be a 1 to 1 recreation if the cartoon but the more I’ve seen and heard about especially the scenes of the air nomads fighting off the fire nation make me very excited for any changes, I hope they benefit the original and add on to any missing context
I am so hyped for this omg!! This genuinely looks so good! All the characters and sets and bending look amazing and I’m so intrigued to see what they do with the story. I will never understand the hate for this, if you wanna watch something identical to the original just go back and watch the original! It’s still gonna be there after this releases and is still going to be a masterpiece, the live action will be its own thing. Also it makes me so happy that the live action has properly brought atla back into the cultural forefront with people talking about it again! :))
5:48 this is news to me. I didn't know this. I wanted to be Aang. Like how it was showing the original show.
I am soo excited. After seeeing the final trailer, I was like, I want to see it right now. Also the clip they release of Zuko and Uncle Iroh fighting together was fire(no pun intended). Dallas nailed those kicks and jump. The action looks soooo cool
I love this series and i'm excited to watch it
"I hope this is the heartwarming scene [of Sky Bison herd] where Aang meets Appa"
Me: *inhales nervously*
we love you uncle iroh's tea shop
I love you too!
I’m pretty sure that avatar moment in the water was the ice stasis he was about to cast cuz I believe that’s Appa in the background floating too
Someone else pointed that out and no joke I thought that was just a random chunk of ice that fell into the water
Lol
Such a good trailer! I've loved your coverage over the lead up to the show! Honestly, I think it's a bit of a missed opportunity in their marketing to recreate the intro to the cartoon shot for shot in live action. It's genuinely one of the best and most iconic intros ever. Just imagine how hype a trailer like that dropping would be.
Well who's to say the intro won't be in the show? I've heard there is an intro.
I need book 2 and 3 to be adapted aswell cause I need to see that final Agni Kai and so many other incredible scenes portrayed by these amazing actors and actresses!!!

Assuming this all goes well like I’m hoping, and it ALL gets adapted, do we think they will do live version of Korra?? Do we want it?? Maybe 👀 SO excited. Looks really great!

I doubt it but I’d love it lol. But we still have 3 more seasons of ATLA to focus on
Looks absolutely amazing wow
Enjoyed today's tea, Uncle Iroh 🙂 As each trailer, clip, and photo has been released over the past month my excitement has grown exponentially. The massive number of positive reviews from those who've already seen Ep's 1 and 2 is confirmation that - bare minimum - we have something far, far better than the 2010 movie. Gordon Cormier is just such a cutie, with an infectious smile and laugh, and that was vital to the success of this series. Had they gotten the wrong actor it would have tainted everything. Thursday can't come fast enough!!! I will be loading and reloading my Netflix account at midnight until they drop and I plan to watch all eight that entire night. Only 30 hours to go!
I am hyped. I actually did take 2 days off work to binge-watch.
Good on you and you can carry it into the weekend
I will NOT be binging it. Do I want to? Yes. But I want to savor it for eight weeks and let every episode sink in for a few days before treating myself to another one. We only get to experience it for the first time once and I want the hype to last. Thanks for all the trailer breakdowns!
You're welcome! Be sure to come back to my episode reviews when I am done and you are done with your watch of it.
@uncleirohsteashop I'll watch each review as I finish an episode. Having others react to the content ads to the experience of a new release, so thanks for all the effort you put into your channel 🫖🍵
This was the trailer that made me smile from ear to ear. Just some super hot ultra hype fuel here. When this does well (and I believe it will) Here's hoping Netflix will put even more time and energy into the next seasons.

The only reason for me to get Netflix again
5:28 I was worried and had my skepticals as well. Also idk if you thought this when I saw the Ocean Spirit. But he looks like watertribe Godzilla, right? 😯
As the day draws near it’s hitting me that I’ll have to live with the show releasing on a binge model. I’m really bummed. I really wish it would be dropped weekly. 5 years of hype all to be concluded by end of this week. :(
Here's hoping it pulls a Stranger Things Season 4 and lasts for months with good hype and love
The scene where he’s under water could be a flash back because if you look closely Appa is behind him under the water and in the original cartoon as we can all remember him and Appa were in the middle of a storm and he had to go into the Avatar state in order to freeze and save them both in the ice ball.
Here in Australia we’re kinda a day ahead so the show will be released tomorrow, so excited for it 😍😍😍 this trailer is just amazing
Please don't spoil for us all Australians🙏
Damn they NAILED Omashu, at least from a distance
I have now watched the first 2 Netflix episodes, it is not the same, but it is good.
Imagine if the events of Avatar the Last Airbender were real and happened 200 years ago. Nobody today was around to see it happen and there are no doubt many histories which may not all agree on every point, depending on who wrote them. So someone today created the animated series to tell the story, and they did a good job of telling it as they understood it. Then later another person does a live action version and they also try to tell the story and do a good job of it, but the two tellings put different emphasis on things and perhaps use different sources for the details and in the end, both tell the story well but neither is a perfect telling of it. Neither includes everything that happened because there would be just too much to include it all and some details might be arranged differently to make it all work as a docudrama - because in both cases, they are telling it as a story, not as a dry history book.
That is what this is like. If you assume that it was a true story being told by people who only have historic accounts to work with, both tellings are likely to be imperfect but they capture the essence of the history. That's how I choose to see this and on that basis, both are great jobs but they are not identical.
Also like the many tellings of the story of Robin Hood - there are multiple great jobs of telling the story but none of them are the same, just similar. There are also some bad jobs that have been done with Robin Hood - just as Avatar had a bad job done of trying to tell the story in the Movie that Shan't be Named.
Your statistics are growing!! So happy…
Lets hope for the bigger when the shows drops!

Theory: They said they were going to do something different with the Avatar state. Maybe, whenever he goes into the Avatar state, it's always in someway connected to a past Avatar? Maybe the past Avatar is actually commanding the Avatar state instead of Aang? Just a guess.
They did say some rule changes are coming so that could be what it is
