i ALSO did the math, lmao. yeah. they could have done a scene by scene remake (not that they should have) but they COULD have. so, there was no excuse for it feeling so rushed. and also, just remembered that they took out the part of sozin's comet, which WOULD have added urgency, instead they replaced it with urgency to get to the north pole ... why??? 🤦
The live action is straight trash. And I hate how they're calling it "Remastered" because that couldn't be more false. "Rebutchured" is way more accurate. They don't deserve to continue it, I hope it gets cancelled. I highly appreciate videos like this that calls them out on why it's trash.

I literally cannot see how people could like this show. Not even by a comparison standard, but as a standalone too. Characters sometimes take logic leaps that don’t make sense, the story is inconsistent, the complexities of the characters are spoon fed to you, and the acting is bad, it gives the audience no type of mystery to keep going…. There’s no sauce! No sweetness!
the fact that the ORIGNAL WRITERS for the ACTUAL ALTA SHOW dropped it for creative differences is all i need to hear. but unfortunatly my ears are not deaf and ive heard more than id like to :( its so bad and such a spit in the face to the people who grew up watching alta. not only a spit in the face to us, but the orignal show creators
People who are saying aang is gliding and not flying cause aang did some air stunts in cartoon, you guys need to watch how gliding works and lets say he was gliding on air temple what's the excuse when he was straight up flying to call aapa?
13:55 zuko’s scar being minimized upsets me so much. the creators claim to care so much about representation but what about the burn victims who felt represented by zuko having such a visible scar? do they not matter just because it would be easier to skip some extra time doing accurate scar makeup?? it honestly so lazy and i have a feeling they were also just scared of making a conventionally attractive actor appear ‘ugly’ in the same way they were scared of making sokka sexist 😒😒

I do think it doesn't compare to the animated series, but I honestly really liked it. If you just remove the comparison, and understand that they wanted to cater to not just original fans but the general public, it's actually really good. For example my mom could not get into the animated series but actually liked this version. My Dad never wanted to watch the original but laughed out loud to this one. I watched it as a new experience rather than comparing it to something it can never live up to. If you do this with anything in life, you'll never be satisfied. Yes a few things like costuming could have been better but I loved the small ties to the original like the cabbage man popping up. From a long time fan of the series, it could have been better. But I'm not mad at it! I'm excited for the other seasons and to see who plays Toph!
Toph is not a hard character to mess up, the worst they could do is act like she's actually blind (even though she is but the teams sometimes forgets)
Glad you could enjoy a show you like with your parents! The disappointment isn't coming from the show being different, which is natural in adaptations, it's coming from the new script's deletion of the main characters' identities (making them blank slates) and the related loss of the intensity the story had when it was one of the best written stories for TV ever written. The show you're talking about is a mess of terrible overworked writing and a messy adaptation that does what the worst adaptions do -- feels rushed while also feeling like they have to slowly explain everything.
*But the effects were nice!

@@ohood1788 thanks god but i saw people on TikTok saying korra and Asami Sato are together and after season 4 both of them walked through the portal and started to become a thing so can you please confirm or deny it because I hate gay shit in my favorite shows and korra appear to me to be a character that will have children and pass her knowledge to them.

aang can fly at the temple unassisted because of the thermals, you just didn't think hard enough about it. It's the same reason the mechanist was able to pump hot air without bending to allow non benders to use gliders. Also mike and bryan wrote that episode ?

I haven’t seen anyone saying anything positive about this show. People have even gone far enough to bully the cast. It’s not that serious. Was it perfect? No. Was it enjoyable to watch? Absolutely. The cast is awesome. The writers and directors could have done a better job but visually it was great. Every member of the Fire Nation did an incredible job with the role. I’m excited to see what they do next season and I hope it improves. I’d you didn’t like it fair enough but don’t act like others aren’t real fans for enjoying it. And don’t you dare bully the cast -not this RUclipsr specifically-
Trying the paint people who really disagree with you about the quality of a TV show as bullies who are mainly out to attack children is... probably its own way of attempting to bully someone, if you think about it. This RUclipsr said nothing about that, and so there seems to be no reason to bring it up to her. There are thousands of videos on youtube expressing disappointment or outright hate for this show with clear reasons stated, without any bullying of actors. Also, sites like Twitter are full of horrible people who try to bully actors in every show, many awful enough to attack kids. Don't blame random people for that.
