      @Ru55o Gaming insurance tends to be double. In my case my ICE savings are largely going to offset my insurance increase. For context this is from a 40k Honda to a M3LR. Went from 650 a year to 1300.

    there is a voice command for the glovebox as well, which will free up the screen usage. Also, I find the glovebox more secure without a physical latch in the event my car had a break in.

    I looked many EVs before getting the M3. The main deciding factor was the over the air software upgrades. No other car maker offers that, in fact they tout new features as reasons to buy a new car.

  • @bruin098

    I think with having the fewer options helps Tesla keep the price "low"

    Sunroof would add to the weight of the car and affect range. You are right about the minimal options. More would be nice.

    Agree with you on adjustments like the mirrors, Steering wheel… etc.
    Honesty. It’s worth a lot to us who may be in the market for a Model 3.
    I believe a lot of things should be adjusted with conventional controls.
    Personally, I believe that the best way to improve anything is to provide competition for it.
    Time will tell how Tesla adapts to competition in the EV marketplace. I probably wouldn’t purchase won the way it is because I would want at least a speedometer in front of me. Whether that’s done through HUD or digitally.
    I appreciate your honesty. Keep up the great work!

  • @wingsdesire1
    @wingsdesire1 2 года назад +2

    For the glovebox I know that you can use the microphone and say the words “open glovebox” instead of trying to find it on screen, it’s a lot easier for me. I hope this helps

  • @huggysh
    @huggysh 3 года назад +12

    I can understand your least favorite things... However, the software aspect gives Tesla the facility to update more features over the air. The physical buttons may make updates dependent on a newer model to see any changes. At the time of watching your video, Tesla has released a electric tailgate :-)

    • @TechRoundUp
      @TechRoundUp  3 года назад

      I definitely agree, the more commonality between models and less physical changes allows for greater uniform updates and upgrades with software

      From an Electrek article "In his tests of the Model 3 after last month’s performance boost (and before this acceleration boost upgrade), Wugz read the Model 3 AWD as having 333kW (447 hp)"

      @@ShaneCaldwell 4.4 sec 0-60 would be a bit slow for a 447hp awd car that weighs just over 4000 lbs... especially an electric car with instant torque. i wonder if its just the all season tires, put the ps4s from the performance on the dual motor and it would be a lot faster i think. assuming elon didnt specifically program it to be slower so they can sell more of the performance model or something...

Also, I'm curious if you have experienced any software issues? Perhaps comparable to software issues found on smartphones or any computers? Imagine trying to turn on the goddamn windshield wipers but the software begins to glitch on you

      The power to run the screen is negligible. Even sitting at a supercharger with the AC on in the car is no big deal. The Charging speed far outpaces that energy use.
