We are Sara & Alex James. After converting 2 vans for us to travel the US & Canada, we settled down in Boise Idaho, opened our own custom van conversion shop, and started our family. So happy to see you again. Your vibe is great and your projects inspiring.
It will be interesting to see your travels with the addition of two kids. I liked your videos of the van builds. The increased capability you have added (Lithium Batteries, AC, digital control panels, etc) show the constant striving to do better. I would love to see a van build without a shower but with a pull out toilet toward the front of the van. While a shower is nice, the amount of additional space you could produce without one could open up different design ideas. You could put in a larger refrigerator, more storage space, a Murphy type bed for the 144 size sprinters, etc. I look forward to your upcoming videos.

I was looking at Banfield’s that were pre-factory build. What a disaster! I’m pretty much settled on van life after my retirement. Only four years away and ready to start planning. I’ll be getting a hold of you.

Perhaps a video for newbies. Like where do you get water, do I need to winterize one of your vans, especially as my plans would be to use year round. How do I keep the van “ready to go” (I live in the North East so it freezes from November to early April. Thanks, and I already reached out directly

I would like to know: Where can you save money when building a van? And for which parts of the van is it better / necessary to spend some more money in order to ensure safety and stability?

I’m looking forward to seeing new footage! More inclusion of your children and seeing how your everyday lives roll would be interesting to me. some new van layouts, twin beds maybe like the comment above. Also, a deeper dive into your business models: how you invest and why, sources of income….know there was a video way in the past about this but more knowledge sharing would be good.
