Gustavo didn't see they made up their minds 10 minutes ago
They were not up to Los Pollos Hermanos standards
That's only something the DEA is able to see. Drug kingpins are blind to such wisdom it seems.
Literally. That’s why Hector peed in the pool. Because it was gonna have to be cleaned anyway
He never had the makings of a Colonel Sanders
When Hector left the table, that was the signal to kill Max. They knew Max was more than just a loyal soldier to Gus. This was a power move.
Gus really did a number on Hector for this. Constantly humiliating him in business. Then making Hector a living vegetable. Then orchestrating the murders of all his nephews. Then bringing down the whole cartel, which Hector considered his own.
technically hector being a living vegetable is more on nacho then gus but it is on both of them yeah. But man Gus is rutheless, can't really say hector didn't bring it on himself though
Héctor deserved that and worse. @@epicfan1598
@@epicfan1598hector would’ve outright died if Gus didn’t perform CPR on him, the decision to trap Hector in his own body was a conscious one made by Gus.
Even when a full recovery for Hector was certain, Gus pulled the plug thus leaving Hector a vegetable for the rest of his days.
But yeah Nacho did have a part to play, not gonna deny that.
@@yowaddup5649 Thats why I said it was on both of them. But Nacho's pills is ultimately what caused it. Gus just took advantage of that situation.

The question is: why did he kill him?
@@doctorflynn5124 there are 2 motives:
1º The guy was a nobody, so it's way harded to track him down if something happens like them making a move on them of any sort.
2º He got rid of his main cook, if not straight up the only person that knows about their "formula" and that straight up forces Gus out of the business sinse if there are other cooks, they might just do as they are said without knowing too deep all of that works.
#3 they knew he was Gus's boyfriend, not his brother like he proclaimed.

I think I read this on Reddit, Eladio says that Gus is only alive because Eladio knows who he is. Gus was once a military general under Pinochet and was caught in a coup, forcing him to flee and start a new life. Eladio knew Gus had ties to the military and didn’t want to kill him.

Don Elaido knew that Gus was probably a real badass back in the day in Chile . It would have been nice to know more about his Chilean exploits and background and the writers had that chance to expand into that in "BCS" but didn't take it

poor max. he was only trying to help gus
He was a drug manufacturer lol
Trying to help Gus set up a distribution system of a highly addictive drug through one of the most fearsome drug lords in Mexico...it's complicated.
What did Max do to deserve getting shot?
He was a nobody and gus did a fatal error in getting him there, reputation amongst criminals is crucial to do business, also gus personality didn't help him, he was afraid if he was more like mike things would have worked out.

Pool: _”I will get my vengeance”_
Gus is easily the best TV villain of all time. He's so unique. He isn't just a psychopath without motive like Tuco for example. He's not reckless. He's the best because he's so methodical every character trait he has ties in so perfectly together. His meticulous nature, his patience, his insatiable need for revenge that's so powerful yet he's so patient with how he goes about it. The story about what he did to the animal that was eating the fruit from the tree he nurtured was the perfect backstory that shows exactly what he's truly like. You do him wrong and he will completely destroy you and he's patient enough to make sure it's done in the most treacherous, painful and drawn out way. The part that makes him even better is he's the villain in Walt's world (and the audience) but he's the protagonist in his fight against the cartel. He isn't the top dog, he's the underdog when it comes to the cartel. They're the villain to him the same way he's the villain to Walt. Then we learn through flashbacks that Gus has a lot more going on than just Walt and that everything he's doing is done for a very specific reason. Everything from the way he talks, the way he dresses, the absolute precision with everything he does, it's incredible and Giancarlo Esposito's performance as Gus is in my opinion the best TV villain of all time.
I would say Lalo is better villain
@@stachpema452 Lalo is more charismatic and arguably even more ruthless than Gus is but no TV villain has ever been like Gus Fring. Every character trait he has fits so seamlessly together. I'm not sure if you watched Breaking Bad as it came out on TV or watched it after but when you had to wait to watch the next episode, every moment with Gus Fring felt 100x more serious. It was unique. It was similar to when Negan was introduced in TWD, you just felt something different you were on the edge of your seat when they were on screen or even mentioned. It's hard to describe but it was great.
i just know it felt so good for fring when he got his revenge
Until Hector got the revenge back. 🛎️🧨😆
If the Don didn't do this then maybe Gus would never have dealt with Walt and they would all be alive and living the high life.

Gus in reality should have been happy just selling chicken, he didn't seem to be living a flash lifestyle anyway.
This act made Gus ruthless.
@@skillet9141 Both died together 😅
that was all Walter White work, he just using Hector to kill Gus to protect his family. That man and his rotten bloodline rotted in hell in the most pathetic ways, and Hector is just a slight bit lucky not even worth a damn fly.
I think Eladio's back story must be that he made a deal with the devil to become a wealthy kingpin. The devil granted his wish but corrupted the deal by making him a prisoner in that house.
Gunshot ringing in Gus’ ear
Came full circle with a bell ringing on Hector’s chair.
Chilling
But who was he in Chile?? What did he do?? To this day we still wait for answers
I'm sure if you kept digging, you'll find him.
He could have been an officer in army, in one of the episodes where Hector speaks with Bolsa during his nephew playing on the yard he used word "generallismus". Gustavo was probably in the military during Pinochet regime. That would also explain his discipline, organized style and sense of observation.
We don't really need answers because it's not that important. Some mystery is fine.

I didn't get it when eladio said
" the only reason why you alive and he is not, because i know who you are".. the question is still there why gus fring not killed but his friends died??
It's one of the great mysteries of BB that no one, not even the DEA, could figure out. The best most can place is that Gus had some kind of role in Pinochets army, an Army that was known for brutality, involvement in drug smuggling, and long-standing ties with Germany.
There were plans to do a prequel that explained all that called "The Rise of Gus" but it was never made.
I believe it's the same reason why Fring chose not to kill Hector. It's about making him live with the pain etched into his soul. This is often portrayed as a classic trope of cartel-style revenge
