Doreen's actually pretty (unintentionally) smart. I keep expecting one of those dogs to bite her hand off when she hands them food. In feeding them--and getting them to sit when she tells them--she's retraining them to allow prisoners to escape. Just tell them to sit, keep them occupied with strips of roast beef, and then hop over the fence and be on your way. It's early in the series yet. There have to be more escapes coming, because they make the storylines interesting.
It's honestly precious how she acts towards the dogs.

it does take a long time to recover from a kidney transplant lol. and even afterward... after the pain stops... ur still worried about wot a punch in the kidney would do to u... u know how it feels after any chronic pain uve had for a long time, u still tend to be protective of that part of ur body for a long time... subconsciously and a bit of habit xxx

I was shocked when I first saw Marie Winter literally throw Lizzie to the floor in this episode, I think Marie Winter and Kay White and the only two characters that we see who actually phyically attack Lizzie.

Steve Grainger Yes! She indirectly was responsible for Lizzie breaking her wrist/hand...when The Freak was dragging Bea to get transferred to Barnhurst. Lizzie was banging on the sec gate.
Lizzie's been assaulting people for years lol. I shudder at the amount of saliva that the other actors would have copped when she's up close spluttering in their faces.
@@KenyanBunnie They had to make it look as if Lizzie broke her wrist because in real life Sheila had just watched Maggie do some sort of silly dance or some silly move and when she imitated Maggie, she fell to the floor and broke her wrist.
@34, the problem I have with Jock Stewart is the fact that when he goes into 'low menacing voice' mode I can't hear a word he states, this was a problem when he was a regular and it still is a problem now. Obviously the subtitles are not the best on RUclips, and as I have a hearing problem I have no chance. The problem is, is that whilst he is only on for a few episodes, the dialogue he imparts is important to this particular story-line. Sorry just a bemoan, I will shut up now!
I too have problem with hearing what Jock is saying. I have to listen several times to understand but some sentences I still can't hear. It's a shame they didn't put on subtitles when they made the DVD:s.

The reason they didn't show Jude getting into the driver's side was because Betty couldn't drive. She went by cab and her youngest boy Oliver, or Ollie as he was called traveled by taxi to the studio after school. Her older boy Chris was probably around sixteen and Ollie was seven. I have her book and she autographed it. I wish I could have met her. It was so sad the way she had the massive stroke and passed away. Just like Gerda Nicholson. 😭. May they both rest in peace, all of the cast member who are no longer with us, may they all rest in peace. 😇.

I love Marie for bullying Doreen, Doreen's bullied other inmates for years and always ran to Bea when they went for her in return or would lag on them, this is one good thing that's came out of Bea's kidney transplant, Doreen getting it all back to her.
She's way too old for Teddies too! Shes a fully grown woman for crying out loud. It's ridiculous how mothered she is.

Yes, Dor can be a pain in the arse, and a whiner, and a lagger, but she's also not the full ticket. That explains her attitude to a lot of things, and the way she behaves.

especially when they were standing in line last episode or one b4 at the bookies and u see geoff from side on... sooooo similar... i cant find enuff info to pin them together as related and there is 11 years age dif. possibly cousins? and ur right... the voice when he was talking in the same scene at the bookies even sounded like jim. for a start i thought jim might have been doing a stand in for him coz he was sick or summat ... a lot of ppl have said this so ive done a LOT of googling etc... just nothing to pin it down ... not enuff info on gerards early life G xxx
Kate is supposed to be an intelligent woman and yet she honestly thinks she can really deal with a swine like Grace. She should know better. Now Steve knows about Kate's secret, you would think its just a matter of time before Sandy gets wind of it and then Kate will be history! Jock is a clever villain who always creates entertaining scenes. That laugh alone is creepy without the rest of it. Judy needs to start being smarter if she is to outwit him and get him off her back.

Tommy Dysart played the part of Jock ever so well, and Olivia Hamnett played Kate impressively too, especially in the later part of her time in the show.

Those dogs are beautiful, my family had two of them a boy dog named hans when i was about 10 years old and then another one when i was 14 years old, a girl dog named sheba. they are so friendly, they were part of the family and they never bite or growled at us or anyone.pretty soon they are gonna find out about kate and it wont be pretty. she has been very bad indeed.

Since when did Doreen become a seamstress? I remember back when she had her original teddy bear, Frankie, or someone else ripped him with a knife and Karen Travers sewed him up. That music at 28:26 sounds almost like the creepy music from the beginning of the movie The Shining, and that piece is a classical piece by an artist that I've forgotten that wrote it after having a nightmare. Doreen was always Able to sew or crochet. Karen fixed her teddy back then as a friendly gesture and because Doreen was upset. It wasn't that she couldn't do it herself

Kate Peterson has developed into one of my favourite characters with her sociopath ways. Her always thinking on her feet and always being two steps ahead when purely thinking of no one but herself is riveting. Don't trip up now Kate! ;)
