Love the idea of a liquid batter, thanks. I'm going to try it in my NutriBullet adding water and liquid in first with 1/2 quantity. Made 4 x 1/4 cup small wraps. I tried it and it worked perfectly, the only difference I didn't sift out the meal so it didn't puff up but was still soft, pliable and no lumps.

Hello, thanks so much for this great idea. I wanted to inquire about using both whole wheat flour and gram flour for this method, will it work. Thanks in advance
Yes with whole wheat flour it will puff up if your batter consistency is right and follow my exact steps but with gram flour or besan you still can make it ( it’s called chilla) but it won’t puff up due to gram flour texture but still it’s very tasty and worth trying. Thank you so much for watching and asking this question ❤️

Can I make the dough with maida instead of whole wheat flour. May I put a pinch of oil in the non-stick as it's impossible to make it without oil. Please do answer
Yes you can use maida instead of whole wheat just make sure that the batter should not be too runny. Also don’t pour batter in the hot pan. Then it will stick to the pan. You can certainly grease the pan with a little oil. Thanks for your queries!😊
Well, ive been engaged in making these for for a number of months now. Often there is a mix of flours which are particularly difficult to handle eg bajra, juwahar, etc, and these will include some spices and dhanya and spring onions etc. That aside, how do you think just making plain chapatis using batter compares with dough in terms of time. I'd say longer, any thoughts on this? And I only use cast iron because of plastic issues with nonstick. If making chapati on cast iron do you use some oil on the tava first or not? Hi, would this still yield the same consistency if I use all-purpose flour? Because that's what I have right now. Hope you'll read my message. Thank you
Hi Persia! Yes you can definitely make it with All Purpose Flour! Please follow my video minutely. It will definitely come out perfect as it’s shown in the video! Let me help you by highlighting some key factors 1. Liquid dough(batter) should be runny consistency. Please watch carefully the consistency of batter I showed in the video. 2. Rest the batter at least 10-15 minutes. The more is better. 3. Sieve it through to ensure there are no lumps. 4. Pour batter in a medium heat pan. If the pan is too hot, you will not get a perfect Roti. 5. Once you pour the batter, do not touch it until you see bubbles. Same with the other side. 6. Press it, rotate it and flip it until it completely puffs up. Hopefully it helps. Let me know how it turned out. Thank you for watching dear and happy cooking 💕
How long did you rest your batter? Also did you follow the consistency I showed in this video? Most importantly, when you pour the batter don’t touch it about 3 minutes...Let the batter dries up. If you are using non stick pan after 3 minutes roti should come out of pan easily...Please follow the steps I have shown in the video minutely , you will definitely get a good result next time! Do you have any idea how long this batter mix would last, if stored in the fridge...?
This looks SO easy & making a larger amount of batter mix, would mean that there's always some there, just needing to be heated up. Great recipe.......👍
Thank you! I didn’t keep it for long time but you could keep it in individual air tight containers up to 5 days. Once you take out the batter use it completely.
It may get crispy later I feel ?
No. It stays soft longer time…
Thanks
