Hey my 76 year old Dad is buying a 2007 FJ Cruiser w/24K Miles Tomorrow. It's fully outfitted with the HD pushbar with a winch and all the options you can get. I think he'll like it a lot!!! Awesome video - I'll play this for him before we go get it. I hope it's not 24,000 of THOSE MILES...LOL
offroading is being intelligent enough to avoid difficulties, not diving head first into a mudpit to prove something... but it's always fun to watch, altough people tend to watch hoping you'll get stuck or break something on the car
Could have been a great video...what the heck was he trying to do all that time? I'm glad he finally balled up and drove it like it was built for! Love those Toyota's!
@Taimoor82, The FJ is the only Toyota fully built and assembled in Japan and shipped to america... so THAT'S why it hasn't had any recalls. Check out the FJ Stealth that is sold in UAE...
Holy crap!!! Those 60 inch tires look so small on that FJ...makes my 33's look tiny...60 inch tires in a 5 foot mud hole...amazing!!! Oh wait, those are probably 35's at best so since he only buried the tires by about an inch or two i would say that is a pretty shallow mud hole...still all in all pretty good getting out of there, I didn't think he was gonna make it...and for all you Jeep haters out there, if that guy got behind the wheel of my jeep, he could have done the same thing as this FJ
NICE! This is an AWESOME VIDEO! I'm still working on my FJ...not really sure what to do with it yet..any suggestions for a 6' lift and tires i should get?
@Xattheend I guess you would be better..this guy drove the thing very smart, very controlled and very much text book wheeling.. I guess you would have just throttled on the big pedal.. ok raaaaiiiiight..
90% people don't have a clue what JEEP stands for "just enough essential parts". So if you drive a Grand Cherokee and act like its a Range Rover, think again.
toyota has been making offroad vehicles for just as long.. the fj comes from a long line of history... jeep is just popular. as toyotas and land rovers continue to cruise the African safaris and Arctic tundras. jeep on the other hand,.. well it will get you to the beach with your surfboard on top.
Ok, so if any of you do a little study you'll see the FJ wouldn't even exist if the Jeep didn't fail in the Korean war! This is on Wiki: 1950 - The Korean War created demand for a military light utility vehicle. The war put a Jeep on Japan's doorstep. The United States government ordered 100 vehicles with the new Willys specs and Toyota was asked to build them. So is the FJ better than the jeep? The US military must have thought so, otherwise we wouldn't have ordered them.
My FJ on 35's beat my brothers Rubicon on 35's in a mud challenge. So I would say FJ's are better for sure. And by the way their both 2012 models with the same tires also
lol good stuff...only reason it was slow to begin with was driver error. No offense to the driver taking it easy is good but if you wanna get through...soon as that bumper kisses water you need to be knee deep in the throttle.. You wouldn't have even slowed down
I just bought my FJ last week. I love it. Took it out the the desert here in AZ, handled every thing I could throw at it.
wow !! .... Kudos and two thumbs up for this driver ...!! Im a fellow FJ'er and have respect for what I just saw !!
Nice job man ......!

men awesomeee videooooo toyotafj rulesssssssss jeepss sucksss no jeep can beat a toyota fj cruiser congratulations
It's not Japanese engineering . It's American. Designed by Americans and built in US . That's why Fj was the only Toyota without any recalls.
beast
did you?
Nice vid, just a note, that is not 4-5 ft deep otherwise it would have been over the hood.
sky jaker 6" in lift and bf goodrich baja radials

Damn ! That was cool ! Nice vid !
is it just me or the fj got better when the jeep show up? lol
na, he was just teasing the camera waiting to show up the jeep guys! lol
horsepower means nothing for wheeling off road, its all about torque. And yes, many European and asian people drive Jeeps.
did any one get chills watching this or is that just me fuck getting a ford fj FTW

engine, because when it gets hot with the water = create steam :)
i would never have the balls to do that.
