This vid is so old, but ppl still watching it and posting comments. That's awesome! I have more vids from that day that was taken from inside the FJ. I may put them up. Just FYI, Im still driving the FJ. The Hummer has been gone for few years now.
@montgum77 also The Transfer case is only found in the H2. It has the Vortec 6.0 V8 the Tahoe has the Vortec 5.3 V8. The rear differential in the H2 is a electronic locking differential. Arguably the best kind of locking diff on the market. The Truck has better side slope stability and approach and descent than any other truck besides the H1. Also a winch is available. Stock 35 inch tires. It also has removable step bars. At the base this is a 2500 Suburban..
@montgum77 The H2 is actually quite different than a Tahoe. First off it is on the chassis of a 2500 Suburban with the front and rear overhangs shortened. The suspension is the same as a 2500 if it isnt equipped with the air ride. With the air ride you get 2 or 3 more inches of ground clearance in the back. It is only available on H2's.
@montgum77 Lastly, the H2 is taller than the H1 and there is no armor on civi vehicles.. It had a massive 4.2 ton weight due to the support bars and suupension upgrades. I have taken my H2 to trails, mud and rock and have neve been high centered. I have air ride also and helps quite a bit in trail and rock driving, not to mention towing. Yes the old yota with the 22r was the shiz, but the new trucks are just like any other. Oh and i have a 3 old 22r yota's.. so i dont hat them either!
I got nothing against H2's, but for (roughly) the MSRP of a base H2 ($61K), you could buy a FJ or Xterra, supercharge it, lift it, add rims, tires, plates, snorkel and still have 28K left in the bank. And that 4.0L engine in the FJ is a great engine, ask anyone with a high mileage Tacoma....
I had to put in 4wd to get the Atrack off. I have tried to play in the mud in 2wd, but couldn't get the traction control off. I blew out power steering pump doing those doughnuts. Toyota covered it for me. Thanks for the comments
Anyone with a stock FJ want to go out on the trails in Maine and try to follow my stock H3? It'd be great to finally see which is superior off road negotiating the same trails under the same conditions.
Id rather buy a smart than a hummer. Reason is that the smarts interiors are fitted with more than 4 bolts and the exteriors don't rust. More of a survival chance in a smart than a hummer in my opinion
13K? The wheelbase alone would not allow for that to safely happen. I completely agree with your assessment of the H1. It's obviously superior to either of these SUV's. But keep in mind that the H1 is 6 inches wider than an H2. The H1 was not designed for tight trailing as the Wrangler or FJ were. I drive a 2001 Jeep WJ Limited 4.7 and think it's superior to either of theses newer suvs.
finally a video with an fj doin donuts goin fast and getting real dirty..im sick of all this rock crawlin stuff and slow off roadin..even tho that is kinda fun but this is more exciting^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
@dmcgrathudt ok. h2 hummers and H1 military humvees are not the same. they look similar, and that is all. an H2 is simply a chevy tahoe with a different body. if you do take your hummer on any trails, you would know its ground clearance is laughable. it would get its very lightly (if at all) armored underside stuck on anything over about 10 inches high. Like i said. Its a tahoe. Just with a different body. Toyota is world renowned for having the toughest most reliable vehicles.
yeah the fj gets almost twice as much mileage, because it's a 6 cylinder and the h2 is a v8 also the h2 is too heavy along with all other gm cars when compared to vehicles in the same class
@ManoWarMMA well i paid cash for my H2 and i can buy my kids any food they desire. but you like the H1 and the H@ is built almost exactly like it just narrower and taller with a 6L instead of a diesel.. I take my Hummer on the trail all the time and with 4.2 tons under me, i can run over anything in my way. In the meantime keep working to pay for your diapers and your moped.
Doesnt really matter which one you like better, these boys are having fun.

Хаммер - тяжелая машина, а FJ достаточно легкий, и заносит веселее ;-)
но классно вы тут покатались, а тоже так хочу=))

FJ has the advantage here. Its got 3 wiper blades.
+Hyperion65 I allways use aquapel on my FJs windows, makes it really easy to see out when Im muddin

How the fck do you dislike this?! this is solid stuff. thats like grown up version of us playing with our toys!
i like how the back of the FJ and H2 are clean.
1:01 "thats what im talkin bout now!" lmfao!!
i want a fj or hummer idc what 1 they r both awesome!!!
lol I used to have and H2 and now I have an FJ... so yeah.. best of both worlds!!!! awesome!
Cody Carr Same here. I sold my H2 and bought an FJ. Both fun and I think my FJ is worse on mpg's..lol
i love my 07 fj, adding a 3inch suspension lift w/h 33's soon

Can't explain why i think this, but that looks like awesome fun
The Black Angus in the background seemed to be enjoying the show. lol

Thanks for the comments
Atrac and VSC are different. There is a hack to turn VSC (traction control) off and allow drifting. Check Toyota FJ Cruiser Forums...Looks like fun-
16 first car is a hummer heard about some new modles in the hummer line in the near future
How you irrigate the fields?
يالبيهه ليتها عندي ذي بس
Anyone with a stock FJ want to go out on the trails in Maine and try to follow my stock H3? It'd be great to finally see which is superior off road negotiating the same trails under the same conditions.
do you have the ASC off?
How did you disable the traction control on the FJ?
That's a pretty good camera shooting it in 08. Clear asf.
The cattle seem about as impressed as I am.
طيب اذا غرز بالنص ؟
@JimToGo

that hummer got power
tail gate's still clean on the hummer
Very nice
i want to do this with my Durango lol
this only works with all terrains.. mud tires would bite like hell..
Super
i like the fj better than the hummer because they cost less and have about the same power so more bang for your buck
no way man, no way that fj only has a v6
Well they used to be blue... Then they took some mud to the hood...
yeah... I went there.

yeah the fj gets almost twice as much mileage, because it's a 6 cylinder and the h2 is a v8 also the h2 is too heavy along with all other gm cars when compared to vehicles in the same class
@birdiedanik31 oh okay
5:40 To 5:44
That's Nice One !!
An FJ will out 4x4 an h2 or an h3 anyday of the week but Ill give them the h1 thats flat out millitary. this is comming from an Fj owner.
I thought that the Hummer is blue
Im a jeeper but in this the hummer WILL do better because of that V8 and weight.
Longer wheelbase means better drifts.
lol that looks like a lot of fun =]
If you don't need your car give it to me :)
dam hill billys are just to cool!
haha nice,,,
cop love to watch it,,,
no need ticket at all

you can hear the COWS in the background "WTF"?
hummers only make u feel big and like u can go anywhere....they are too heavy and too underpowered u paid 50,000$ for a big giant fiesta

hummer's are and will be the best off-road cars ever built
I'd like to introduce evryone to my brother/dad Mitch and my cousin/uncle Darryl
Haha. Hummer is still american design and ingenuity. U.S.A. Baby. FJ still dominates.
Which is better-Toyota or Hummer? I vote FJ ftfw!
فطوما متحمسة
Mud DRIFT! :D
HAHA pregnant lady on roller skates...that's funny shit right der....FJ got more runs in, Hummer had to stop and refuel.....
