How do the speakers sound with the wind noise? I wear an open face and half helmet, but prefer to use ear buds because it protects my ears from the wind buffeting noise coming in my helmet. During freeway speeds, the wind noise coming in my helmet is deafening, then having to try to listen to the speakers, I can see myself raising the volume. Thoughts?
They don't offer the sound quality and wind protection that ear buds do, but you can hear your surroundings better with these speakers, which might be important to some riders--especially those that spend a lot of time in the city or on surface streets.
Can you use these features all at the same time? Say I have a passenger that periodically speaks to me while I'm listening to music and receiving directions from gps via cellphone?
@@chaparralmotorsports Thanks for the info. Eye protection is required in many states. I'm sure even retractable visors can be unsightly but Anytime they add a visor it immediately makes the helmet more appealing to so many markets.
Hello, this helmet has been discontinued. However, to properly function with the Harley Infotainment you would need the Sena Freewire and an adapter cable.
Hello Jerry, no the battery is not replaceable. If there is a problem with the battery Sena will usually replace the helmet itself as long as it is within the warranty (5 year warranty).

Hi Ron, thanks for watching this video. The Calvary helmet is currently only DOT approved, it does not have ECE certification. We appreciate you watching the video and taking time to follow up with a question. --Eric

No
Why they dont have a version with a drop down visor is astonishing.
Not sure. They are no longer selling this helmet--they now offer a full face and a modular helmet.

what
about if you have loud exhaust?
Hello, you could try wearing ear plugs.
Will it connect to the senna unit on the harley
Hello, this helmet has been discontinued. However, to properly function with the Harley Infotainment you would need the Sena Freewire and an adapter cable.
Is it available without Bluetooth?
Hello, Sena no longer offers this helmet. We do have an assortment of half helmets that do not have Bluetooth: www.chapmoto.com/motorcycle-helmets/
Is the battery replaceable when it will no longer hold a charge?
Hello Jerry, no the battery is not replaceable. If there is a problem with the battery Sena will usually replace the helmet itself as long as it is within the warranty (5 year warranty).
guess I must have gotten a bad unit because once I get above 30 miles per hour, no one on the other end can not hear me at all.
Not a bad unit. At those speeds calls become unintelligible...

FYI it’s cavalry not calvary. Just saying! Thnx for the good review.
Yes, you are correct. Thanks for the edit suggestion.
Sena. Build a solar helmet!
Haha, good recommendation.
I cannot buy for one simple reason, wind noise. I can see the ear canal.
Yeah, that's one of the issues with this style of helmet. ear plugs do help though.

The cavalry helmet didn’t last long
A half helmet and a comms system make for tough hearing and communication.
To narrow for my head
ok.
Discontinued
Sorry.
To bad it looks like a mushroom
Sorry you feel that way. Ride safe.
