Good video. I prefer the Bell Scout Air. I've had several helmets over the years. I've been riding since 1995 and honestly I'm getting tired of wind noise wearing half helmets. I'm also tired of wearing earplugs. So, yeah....I liked that Bell helmet.
@@kee7678 I ride an Indian Springfield DH. I installed an aftermarket windshield made by Freedom Shields. I love it because I used the factory hardware from the stock windshield. The aftermarket windshield has a flare at the top so now all wind and bugs deflect upwards and over my head. The half helmet i use is made by Crazy Al's Helmet SOA style. And my full face helmet during winter is a Simpson M30 bandit.
Can someone answer me this: why dont they make half helmets with a chin bar? Or similar to an American football helmet with cage to protect your jaw? Gives you best of both worlds?

I just got a Cardo Bold unit and need to get a new helmet and 80% of riding is in and around SoCal and have a full face but will use 1/2 or 3/4 most of the time and really want music/phone etc. I'm looking at the Bell Scout Air and the LS2 Rebellion. Any advice or suggestions I'm all ears! Thanks for the video!
I need a helmet that has a good sun visor. The darkened face shield is not enough for me when the sun is low on the horizon. It was suggested on another site that you could put some sort of tape on top of the drop down shield to block the sun. That seems like a really good idea. Do they make shields like this without having to do the tape trick?

I’m curious how the pull down visors work with your eye line on each of the helmets that include one. I know as someone with a taller head, these are often problematic as the visors don’t go down low enough for me.
Never ever buy bell scout half helmet! The most uncomfortable helmet ever made! I ordered three different sizes and top of the helmet was always tight and around years was always big!

I got the Bell Pit Boss which wasn’t in your list but really like the fit, look and integrated visor.
i have the scorpion 110. Its bulky. But when you drop down the visor it seems to clean it up a bit. And its comfy.
Not one helmet reviewed was low profile. Low profile are ones like the Micro DOT or Crazy Al's.
I think the scout air looks best on you. Wish you had put some glasses on when trying the helmets on. Good reviews and informative comments.
